  1. My fiancée got her visa back and they wrote cwop across it in black marker because it had a mistake in her birth year. Now many months later after multiple emails to get a new visa the embassy sends us a letter to proceed to the United States with this visa. There is no way customs will except this right?
  2. I couldn’t believe it either but they discovered this at the interview
  3. My fiancée was approved on august 28 at the Bogota embassy for the k1 visa. Her status changed to issued on the ceac website the next day. On September 2 she received a phone call informing her that an anomaly happened during a search of her name and dob and that her dob on all her documents was incorrect. Instead of 1984 it should be 1985. Her status in ceac still says issued and we have had no further contact with the embassy. To this date we have not received the passport back. I have emailed the embassy with no response. Has anyone heard of something like this happening and what was the eventual outcome?
  4. Mine was supposedly sent on the 6th to FedEx in envigado medellin but to the day I have not received any email on a tracking number. We were approved on the 28th, ceac says issued on the 29th this process continues to be a big mess.
  5. There is a list of doctors in bogota on the embassy website. Once you schedule the medical exam they will give you the time and place of the labs portion
  6. The nvc tried to tell me that the child status protection act protects children aging out in the k2 process. I read the act and it doesn’t seem like it freezes a 20 yr old child for k2 purposes. Does anyone know?
