    The 13th of October

okay good. make sure you have uploaded the following:

--2022 tax transcripts or 2022 Tax Return & W2 related to sponsor(s) (I also had a letter from my employer proving I am still an employee and a the 3-4 most recent pay stubs)

--police report (carta de buena conducta); do it a few days before interview so it's the most current

--proof of relationship (here is a list of what I uploaded):

    • bank accounts, home/apt (rent/lease, if you have one together) -- I DIDNT HAVE ANY OF THESE, BUT I SUBMITTED THESE ITEMS BELOW:
    • proof of money transfers (e.g. Western Union (you can download spreadsheets online);
    • pictures of us together, when we got engaged, when we got married at Civil Court (we didn't do a wedding), pics with family and friends,
    • RECEIPTS from your trips together, gifts to each other, etc.
    • I also had added my hubby as an authorized user to a few of my credit cards so I submitted that proof

All of this will help.  They will look for this info. The only thing they asked as the interview was for the pictures and I had a full album of our 4.5 years together.

OH and if you have any changes, like name or address, you have to ask NVC to open up the DS-260 again so you can make those changes.  If you have sponsor changes, you have to submit a new I-864.

For interview - applicant must bring *:

    Original (inextensa) birth certificate

    Passport

    Confirmation of appointment interview letter

    DS-260 receipt page

(Petitioner bring his/her passport and ID)

and all originals of everything you uploaded

*you will need the same for your biometrics/fingerprints and medical exams.

    Good luck!

Girl I feel you, after going through that process, you should have patience in some type of shape of form.knowing that he’s coming that is what you need.

he did his fingerprints, he’s going to do the medical in 2 weeks from now than wait for the interview. I can’t til everything is over.

Awesome. Did you upload your documents to ceac? 2022 transcripts proof of relationship police report etc? As long as he has his appt your can start to upload the info. I started doing it once he had done his fingerprints and med exams.

    Thank you 😊

you’ll be with your partner soon🎊🎊🎊🎊

Yes!!! Thank you -- I am very happy -- this process is finally over.    I go back to get him the first week in October.  He had to resign from his job/tie up loose ends.  Then he'll be home with me - then we can wait for the rest together (green card, SS#, etc.).  Already looking at airfare to purchase :D  How is it going with you?

I’ve sent 2 inquiries in the past 6 months they said I just have to wait. Question do you think the inquiry helped you to get the interview or it was more like that’s the estimate time to get an interview for that type of case? I’m curious.

Honestly I don't know. But I sounded desperate. I had a few before and they told me the same. But this time I said it was 7.5+mos waiting. Was it that that worked? Maybe. It doesn't hurt to try again when you reach 7.5 months. I know they're averaging about 8 mos wait. We just  kept  praying and roll keep praying

The 18th of August will make it 7months since I’m waiting for the Interview Letter hopefully I get it next month.

I hope so for you too send inquiry.  Mine came at 7 months 13 days or so. It wouldn't hurt. Make it sound really sad and your in despair. Pull on their sympathy. It might work. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My case been DQ since 01/18/23 I still haven’t received any email for the interview? Is there someone that I can contact to get an idea on how long it will take to get an interview please?

There's nothing you can do. The waiting period is now going 6 to 8 months. I've been DQ'D since  December. Going my IL comes this month.

If your interview is scheduled past April 18 this year then you need to resubmit your tax return, new i864, w2s, paystub etc. and only civil doc would be the police report that’s it

why a new I-864?   That form never expires per the state.gov site (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/i-864-affidavit-faqs.html#aos31)

  8. it looks like the new "norm" is 5 month wait for IR1/CR1 immediate relative category across the Board.  There were about a dozen or people that I know of in a whatsapp group (for those waiting for Dominican Republic) that received their IL for end of April thru end of May (they were DQ'd Sept/Oct 2022).  This is good!  I hope to hear something next April/May, but you never know if sooner.  Congrats to those that received their IL already and continued prayers for us that are still waiting <3.
