CaffeNeroGuy got a reaction from Laud in London CR1 / IR1 Appointment Updates
The London folks have been very quiet. I haven't seen any recent news from anyone.

Thanks @CaffeNeroGuy! Hopefully it won't take too long. It seems that the Rio consulate is doing well with its backlog.

Hi everybody! I'd like to share that I receveid the DQ e-mail today, Septembrer 19th. The documents were posted on August 25th and delivered to NVC on August 27th - it took 25 days from the date they were sent. 🥳

Roughly 6 weeks but the waiting time totally depends on country.

My interview date 10/20, waiting for this date to come patiently.

They knows nothing about the interview date. I think the workflow is like this
1. The consulate sends a list of available timeslots to the NVC
2. Then the NVC assigns individuals to each timeslot
3. Then consulate gets notified your appointment date and your case files too.
I could be wrong but this is the info I got while I was waiting for my interview appmt impatiently.

Yes that's my understanding. I wouldn't try to contact the Embassy. NVC would be a better bet if you're desperate.

Congratulations. Now it's the home stretch of waiting for that interview letter.

Hi, Today I got a message from NVC that I am DQ. Now, I am waiting for the Visa appointment from the embassy.

The question is whether receiving IL also takes that short amount of time.

Husband got his medical appointment set for 3 October. Should be enough time for it to be processed through to the Embassy by his 20 Oct interview.

The I130 I filed for my stepson was DQ'ed in August also, around the 16th I think it was. Received interview letter in like 3 weeks, early September for an October 19th interview. It all depends on the workload of the embassy.

An update: my parents got their interview scheduled for Oct 13th... just got the email on 9/1. Hope this helps people who are still waiting.

Yeah I have been really anxious as well. I see people who got DQ at the same time or after I got DQ getting interview letters.

What about those who were Dad in early August and yet to receive IL? I also saw another theory on this site that the consulates releases dates in batches in the middle of each month. So those are two opposing theories.

EB1A - I think EB1, EB2 and EB3 are treated the same at this point. None get preferential treatment.

Sorry to be confusing - I don’t have anything saying the words “documentarily qualified,” just an email saying we had an update, then the site stating that all documents are accepted + fees paid. No message at all stating same. Just afraid we’re sitting in limbo/forgotten about (especially as I see others after us getting interviews).

I just received email confirmation that I am documentary qualified exactly two weeks after the NVC received my civil docs. I am applying for an EB3 visa.

Congratulations!
I think I saw people talking about how it's possible to contact the consulate just in case they can give you an earlier interview if someone cancels or something.

I read somewhere on the NVC website that they assign interviews once a month, after the consulate inform them of available dates. I’ve tried to find it again but can’t remember where I read it. But I agree with you, they seem to assign interviews in batches for the following month every 4 weeks.
For info, I was DQ’d on the 29th July and received my IL today.
DQ - July 29th
IL - September 1st
Interview - October 5th.

Just got my husband's IL!! BLUF timeline:
NVC submission: 8 Jun
DQ: 12 Aug (received HST 1030 12 Aug)
IL: 1 Sep (received HST at 0530 1 Sep)
Interview: 20 Oct, 0830 LND
It's my impression they "bundle" DQ cases, and then assign them interviews in batch. So if you're DQ near the beginning of the month, most likely you'll get your interview on the 1st or 2nd the following (for London, anyway). I did some timeline stalking, and it seems a batch of people tend to get their IL's about the same time, the 1st or 2nd each month.

Hi!
I just received my IL. My journey is as follows:
Submission: Jun 7th (This was basically my 3rd submissions as my documents were flagged invalid the first two times. Each time it was a waiting time of 2 months)
DQ: Aug 16th
IL: Sep 1st
Interview date: Oct 21st
Hope it helps,
