  1. ~ Thread was moved to US Citizenship General Discussion as it relates to combo interview ~
  2. General statement. Of course you will receive green card in the mail, everybody gets it in the mail. The question is when. The people taking biometrics are not USCIS employees, they are contractors. They don't have a clue about people's cases. Good luck!
  3. Nobody hopefully ever received I-767C, because the forms people receive are I-797 and I-797C. You know what, I was the one suggesting filing I-765 online. However, after checking myself on myUSCIS, c(9) category isn't eligible to file online... There's no such category available in drop down. So it may be that you need to file on paper. Sorry for bad advice.
  4. Probably around 2-3 years before they set their foot on US soil.
  5. Typically not needed It's doable if you learn how the process works
  6. Agreed, I-765 should be filed by immigrant from their own USCIS account.
  7. Why not file online? I think it's even cheaper vs paper filing.
  8. Everything seems normal. Good luck!
  9. Most likely she'll be denied B1/B2 due to lack of ties to her home country and stronger ties to the US through husband.
  10. Congratulations! You may check out this educational video about passports And more importantly, how to update records with SSA
  11. It will be based on your current address. Field office based on your zip: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices So when you file N-400, it goes to NBC, and then field office.
  12. Hit and run is also criminal AFAIK. OP shouldn't minimize those.
  13. Is spouse's income from US employer on L1? RFE can add delay.
  14. It's always good to have a status to fall back in case if I-485 is denied.
  15. I'd be ready for USCIS asking for joint sponsor. It would be nice to secure one in case if this comes up. Unless you have sufficient liquid assets (not primary residence), and even then YMMV on USCIS honoring them.
  16. Great to hear! I expected this. USCIS systems are known to be glitchy.
  17. The safest route is always using qualifying joint sponsor. Using assets is possible, but often requires convincing evidence organized in good way.
  18. Good points. I somehow assumed 2024, but if @Nena Lis filed Feb 2025, there's another 13 months to go.
  19. 13-17 months for any citizen. So you should be hearing something in the next 3 months.
  20. Please review N-400 instructions. I only provided copy of GC (front and back), copy of marriage certificate and tax return transcripts for the past 5 years. I was asked to show passports and GC ar the interview. In your case, you'd also need to provide divorce certificate.
  21. One way to approach this is not to do anything with it until somebody won't accept it in the future, which may or may not happen. The pros of this approach is potentially saving money. The cons are: NC will cost more to replace in the future. And you may need it quicker than you can replace it. Again, it depends on condition of current NC and risk tolerance.
  22. I-751 can be reason for hold up. Especially if you moved since filing I-751.
  23. Interesting! Wasn't the case at my field office. People kept shoes mostly, but removed belts. Either way I had no belt and I wore socks.
