Hi Alex. So she ended up having to fly to Atlanta to go to the Colombian Embassy ( the closest one to Arkansas) and renewing her passport before she left. I would suggest that your wife find a Honduran embassy close and start her passport renewal now. It took about 2 weeks to get the new passport sent to her. Hope this helps. Good luck and God bless!

I am confused, as your title said with an expired visa, to avoid future hassles in dealing with the immigration. I highly recommend renewing her passport if it is the passport while in the USA.

i know few people can do that because they are back for good to their home country and didnt come back to the US
you should check with the airline too, if airline said no, that's gonna cause big issue
just my 2 cents, because i have to fly to NYC as well to renew the passport.
have you check the consulate in Houston if she can renew it by sending the old passport by mail?
i know for my home country, even different consulate in US have different method. some have to go there in person, and some can just mail it ( different consulate)
i personally wont take a chance and use expired passport to fly ( even to my home country)
