  1. That email doesn’t do anything. You’ll just get an auto reply directing you to submit your inquiry in the NVC public inquiry page, which is currently taking 2 months to get a response if you use.
  2. Yes, mine said the same thing. Both my local embassy(Bahrain) and my attorney said it still goes to the NVC. My local embassy said they cannot do anything until they get the file from NVC, and need a NVC case id number to assist in any way.
  3. No still have not heard anything by email or mail, no case number yet. I did put in an inquiry to NVC yesterday on their website, but since it takes them 2 months to respond I am not holding any hope for that. I also had my attorney put in an inquiry yesterday to their attorney inquiry section, perhaps she will have better luck in getting a response quicker than the public inquiry system.
  4. Any May 2022 NOA2 out there who have heard from either NVC or their embassy for progress? My embassy has responded to all of my inquiries very quickly but just can't do much until they get my physical file from NVC. If I knew when I started this process what I know now I would have married her here in Bahrain and gone CR-1.
  5. Correct, I as the petitioner provided a signed/notarized letter of intent to marry, but my fiancée as beneficiary did not provide her own letter(she had plenty of other evidence included, however, like pictures together, chat logs, etc). When I went to our US embassy here in Bahrain(we both live/work in Bahrain) to have my letter of intent to marry notarized, the consular officer informed that this letter was not required and it did not need to be notarized, but he notarized it per my request, which I submitted in my I-129f petition packet. I also did provide signed letters of attestation from both my friends/family & her friends that attested to the relationship & intent to marry. USCIS approved the petition.
  6. Getting very frustrated. NOA2 was 6.May.2022(USCIS website has updated to say 9.May.2022 but approval notice says 6.May.2022) and no word from NVC or my embassy/consulate, no case number yet. I had a job lined up as a GS with the Feds in the US since December 2021 and they told me yesterday that if I can't start by 6.July.2022, that they can't hold it open any longer. I am living/working in Bahrain with my fiancee and made a commitment to her that we would leave here together upon approval of her visa, that I wouldn't go on ahead of her. So I kindly informed them I can't take the job if they need me that soon, that I am standing by the commitment I made. I have another job lined up and am able to work here in Bahrain until the K1 is issued for my fiancee, but I'm still disappointed to be in this position. We are ready to go! No one is willing to help either at NVC or embassy until I get the case number.
  7. Part 5 section 5 is where I put mine as the petitioner. I checked over our original file submitted and I didn't see a space for entering the fiancee email. The waiting game is really getting to me. NOA2 of 9.May.2022(originally 6.May.2022, but USCIS changed it). I'm checking my email and spam folder regularly for the NVC notice.
  8. My NOA2 approval notice(6.May.2022) says the exact same thing. No mention of NVC. I reached out both to my local consulate/embassy(Bahrain) and my attorney for clarification, both said it still likely means it is going to the NVC. Super frustrating until you can get the NVC case number via welcome letter or email.
  9. Don't start a DS-160 before you hear from NVC or your local embassy, filling out a DS-160 doesn't get you a NVC case number. I'm in the same boat(NOA2 6.May.2022). I've reached out both to my local consulate/embassy and tried calling USCIS. USCIS was of zero help(their automated phone system even threatens to hang up if you ask to speak with someone) and my embassy(Bahrain) told me they can't do anything until NVC gets my case. I did push back to my embassy on 24.May.2022 and ask them to reach out to NVC for me since NVC no longer takes phone inquiries, and they said NVC had not yet received my case at that time. I will follow up every other week with my embassy to reach out to NVC until I get the NVC welcome letter or email, to try and get the case number. Believe me, I sympathize with your situation. In the same boat here. It really is out of our hands in that period where your case goes from USCIS to NVC. Without a case number there isn't much one can do. As stressful and hard as it is, we just have to wait.
  10. NOA1 - 9.Apr.2021 NOA2 - 6.May.2022(USCIS updated on their website to say 9.May.2022 but the approval notice I-797 says 6.May.2022) Still waiting on NVC welcome letter. I wondered how some people were getting emails from NVC, but then I noticed there is a data cell in the I-129f for the petitioner to put their email. Hope I get the email or letter soon with NVC case id number.
  11. I followed up with the consulate here in Manama, Bahrain and they were not of much help, but they did respond quickly. Basically said, 'we don't have it until we got it'. Their take on it was that it still goes to NVC and they cannot help until I have a case id number, even though my I-797 said it was going directly to the consulate, no mention of NVC. I thought they would be more helpful, so until I get the NVC welcome letter or another way to obtain the case ID number, I have to wait.
  12. Thank you for the info, I’ll reach out to the consular at the embassy tomorrow. I also updated my stats.
  13. My NOA2 797 I-129f petition approval notice(6.May.2022) says something odd. Instead of telling me it is sending my approved petition to NVC, it said it is sending it to the listed consulate(not listed in letter, I assume the embassy I listed in my petition application here in Bahrain). The NOA2 797 approved I-129f letters I’ve seen posted on here or FB all mentioned sending the approved petition to NVC. Can any of you check yours to see if it says the same? I’m wondering if mine is just a new version of the letter or if this means I should contact the US embassy here in Bahrain for next steps or if it still is going to NVC.
