If you read what Nj005 said carefully, AIC accepts e-filing, but it looks like their system is not ready yet. In other words, you are probably stuck with paper for both.

I agree with you, the AIC location should have an x-ray facility nearby or in the same building.

Comparing the two, both AIC and IMC have been in business for a long time here in Singapore, but one difference I see… AIC appears to be mainly one doctor and maybe one secondary. For IMC they have up to a half dozen working at each clinic, which can mean less waiting if you aren’t precious about which doctor to see.

Oh... I just thought that applying via CEAC for the NVC stage meant e-filling and only AIC would be equipped to handle our cases. Would you know about what are the different implications for e-filling vs paper? Like for paper, do I have to carry around a packet or something?

AIC accepts e-filing or paper filing. But AIC system is not ready yet to take e-filings. they are still building up.

    IMC only accepts paper filing.

Thats unfortunate... I was planning to go to IMC Camden for my medical.

Similar to Camden, Novena also has many other medical services providers. I hope we can do the entire medical exam in the same building/area.

Its showing your case is currently at: Singapore

But Embassy keep saying that its not uploaded to the system yet.

other than the current location of the case, is there anyother way to check our case status. because someothers are posting "in-transit" / "Ready" stages. but I dont see these stages in the CEAC portal.

Hmmm... sorry, no idea... I'm behind you in the process. Please share on this thread if your status changes when the embassy receives your case.

The IMC location at Camden Medical can send you to the x-ray facility on another floor of the building. I found this out when I broke my foot and called them before coming in. If you go to their location at Jelita, you’d need to go to another location to get the x-ray done; not convenient at all.

This is super helpful! Thanks for sharing.

  5. apparently the consulate might not have your cases yet even after you receive Interview Letter

It depends on how long the queue is for your country at NVC.  This is how it works:

    1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

    2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

    3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

    4. NVC schedules interview when your case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

    5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

    6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

Hi There. Im on similar process in SG

    CR1 visa.

    DQ 31/01

    Interview letter 09/02

    Interview 15/03

Contacted same clinic on 10/02. They said they need to check with Embassy whether mine is paper-filing or E-filing.

But Embassy replied that they didnt have my name in the system. May be it hasnt received from NVC as its very short time since IL. So im waiting for Embassy to respond.

Please share your latest updates that would help us on downthe line.  Thanks

When you log into your CEAC portal, at the top-right corner, does it say that your case is with NVC or Consulate?

Should be fairly quick. If AIC can’t get you in, the embassy page has now added IMC which I’ve used many times — they can usually get me in on the same day I call, but that is for regular doctor’s appointments. If you do go to IMC, I’d recommend Camden so you can get everything done in the same building.

what do you mean by "everything done in the same building"?

Just give them what they want. Letter explaining there’s no W2 nor 1099s for the years in question. If you don’t include that they’ll ask for the 1099 😂

Yeah, we typed out a letter, printed it, then signed and dated it. Resubmitted today 31 Jan. Hope to get DQ by 23 Feb if they keep up with current rate.

Uploaded the letter in this category. Hope its correct. This process is so frustrating.

  9. Just got RFE asking for petitioner to upload most recent Wage and Income IRS Tax Transcript 2021. We did not have that as petitioner was a full time MBA student and did not have income that tax year. We submitted so many documents to mitigate this.

    1. 2021 evidence of no tax return filed

    2. 6 months of most recent paystub from Jul to Dec 2022

    3. MBA transcript

    4. Cover letter to explain why 2021 had no tax transcript

Any idea what else we can do?

I seem to find some evidence of others in same situation but got DQ anyway.

I have a response from the Consulate and please help me to understand this.

    - We are amid transitioning to new panel clinics. Unfortunately, there are no panel clinics available currently. We will contact you once we have appointed our new panel clinics. We will still require applicants to have a clear medical examination before they come for their visa interview. We do not accept medical examinations performed by panel clinics outside Singapore.-

this part please help me to understand.

“If your visa appointment has been scheduled and the medical report is not available on the Thursday before the visa appointment date, you may consider your appointment to be cancelled. Please contact us two weeks after you have completed your medical examination.”

    Dear Sir / Madam,

We regret the inconvenience caused by the liquidation of Pivot Medical clinic.

Thanks for sharing. I hope the embassy will get this sorted out soon and clear the backlog that they must have. Please do update here when your mom goes for her medical.

  11. I just called the numbers listed on the clinic's website and it seems like the line has been disconnected. I'm waiting for DQ and will also need to go through medical in Singapore as well. If you managed to find out where the new clinic is, please update here!

We are also applying for IR1 from SG. We just got our NOA2 on Dec 2. Nothing from the NVC yet, but we are not in a hurry.

We won’t be ready to move until June 2024, so more curious how long to drag our feet before visa application. NOA2 is good for 12 months.

I'm applying for IR1 too, I130 approved 21 Dec and received the NVC welcome letter 4 days later

If you need to delay, highly suggest you read this thread:

I'm already expecting a document to be rejected.....My husband hand signatured the I-864Z but electronically wrote the date. From my research on this forum and reddit, its about 50/50 chance of getting a RFE as they want the date hand written too. However, on no official NVC instructions or documentations does it state that. We realised the day after he submitted the financials, its very frustrating knowing we are likely going to be delayed a month now.

oh man that sucks... thankfully i was following the Nov 2022 NVC submission thread and read that somebody got RFE for that. it seems like the processing timeframe is getting shorter and shorter each week, so hopefully if you do get RFE, it will take less than a month for the 2nd review

i submitted 7 Jan, can you add me to the list please?
