Update, Said had his interview today and I think everything went well, not sure till I talk to him on the computer. He said it lasted about 10 mins. and the lady said they would call him (no mention of time frame) and gave him a white paper saying they need additional processing and they didnt need anything else from him. Not quite sure what to think of this yet

Ok this is what I know so far, Said told me that the interview was about 10 mins. and the woman only asked a few questions, said he got a white paper that marked needs additional processing nothing else is required. She told him they will call him but did not give an estimated time frame. He going to be on the computer in a while and I will hopefully know more details then. Im not sure if this is good news or what

I just wanted to say thank you all for comming last night I had fun. As of 5:30am I still have not been able to get Said on the phone yet to find out how the interview went . I called into work and told them my shoulder hurt to bad and need to try and see the doc. so I wont go in to work today. I will let everyone know as soon as I hear anything. Again thank you all for the support.

Ok I just talked to him and he was still at the post office. He found out it is there and was told they couldnt give it to him until monday his interview is monday He told me to call him back in a half an hour and see what happened. This is so frustrating

Ok latest update, one guy at the post office said to come back tomorrow between 11 and 12 and the guy will try and help him I think the guy that handles the packages will be working then. I told him they probably want money, so Said told me if they do he will give him some. So there still is a chance that he will get it tomrrow.

Said interview is monday and as soon as I know what happened I will let everyone know.

I would like to go to I can request some time off about then Im from Longview which is just north of vancouver. I would like the address to the restaraunt too. I dont know where anything is in Seattle. Hopefull Said will be here to by then.

Ok my husbands interview is in 3 days and the package that I sent express mail doesnt seem to be there yet. I confirmed that it cleared customs on june 30th but yet they tell him it is not there. I emailed him a copy of everything (I think) that was in the packet for the interview and he has printed it off but he cant afford to print all of the chats that I sent. This is just stressing me out. Any ideas what he can do? Im just scared to death about this interview after hearing all of the horror stories comming from morocoo consulate.

When did you express mail the package? It may yet make it.

FWIW, the CO didn't look at our chats at all. She looked at every photo. But I know every interview is different.

You could wire him the money to print off every chat if you feel that is crucial. Or you could pick representative chats from throughout your relationship and just print those.

Here's one thing you could do: Before his interview, make sure you've contacted your representative and you have an authorization on file with them so they can help you quickly if needed. (Do this no matter what.) Have the fax number of the consulate handy (it's around here somewhere if you don't have it). Have your stack of chats handy. Instruct your husband to scan and send you any paper he receives at the interview as soon as he leaves the consulate. If the paper says anything about returning your husband's case to USCIS, get on the phone with your representative so they can start working for you. Then, if you think it will help, fax all your chats to the consulate with a polite cover letter. It would probably be much cheaper to send him the money to print them in advance, but this is worst case. When they receive a fax, they are supposed to put it in your file. Even if he gets the "good" 221(g) -- if the paper says his case requires further administrative processing and they will call him -- it doesn't hurt to contact your representative to make an inquiry for you. Casa almost never grants a visa the same day as the interview.

Go ahead and get that done as quickly as you can, and then try to relax! You've done all you can do at this point. Your husband needs as much sleep as possible the night before and to eat breakfast that morning so he won't be groggy. Tell him to smile and be polite. When he is called, he should put his stack of proof up beside the window and not on the floor at his feet. Put your favorite picture of the two of you on top of the stack if possible (ours was on the outside cover of our little photo album) so the CO can't miss it. If the CO doesn't ask to see anything, he should offer it. He should not be shy about that. And when the interview is over, he should ask the result. He can say something like, "My wife is waiting for me to call her. What should I tell her?"

When you know the result, come here and let us know. There are folks here who have a lot of experience with Casa and can help you if you have to take any quick action -- of course we hope you won't!

This is one of the most stressful periods of the whole process, so be extra good to each other, and good luck!

I express mailed it the 23rd of june and it went through customs in morocco the 30th of june. I sent him a copy of the reciept and hopefully he will get to the post office with the tracking number before they close cuz his interview is on monday I just had everything all seperated to each step of the process and all in order so he wouldnt have to worry about all of that stuff and be able to relax at the interview. Im sure he printed off enough for the interview just not all in order. I will let you all know how it goes as soon as I find out anything and thank you all for your responses and help. When I heard NVC sent our case to CASA I emaild the consulate right away to find out if they recieved it yet and set an appoinment for the interview and Said got the packet about 3 days later and the same day I got a reply from the consulate. NVC sent it out the 11th of June and Said got the packet on the 23 of June. I would email them and ask questions. Good luck!!

I have to work all day and probably late making sure supplies are all stocked for the weekend. Im not sure what im doing after that, probably bbq and fireworks. My honey's not here yet but Ill be with family and friends, my kids are excited!

Said has his interview in CASA on the 21st of july, and Im woundering if there is any guides to prepare for this and if anyone knows how much the medical is now.

My husband got his intreview date July 21st!!!Im so excited and nervous.I just sent him all the copies from everything I sent and some extra chats. I had to put it in a box it was to thick for their biggest express envelope, lol. My concern is that if its in a box will it get treated like the rest of the boxes? There it takes a month to get a box of anything. I did mark that it was documents and papers and no value but I didnt think to put that it was time sensitive until I got home. Anyway I just hope he gets it in the 8 days that they say here, (cost was 61.50) for express

I just talked to my husband and the packet came, we got our interview date!!!!July 21st. I did think it would be that soon, Im so excited!!!!

Just an update, I finally got through to someone at the NVC and she told me my file left for CASA on June 11th! My letter was dated the 12th. Anyway now Im emailed CASA to see if its there and if there is an interview scheduled, nothing back yet.I also finally get to go back to work on Monday. I hope everyone is doing good in their journey.

Is this for a K1??hopefully, it will reach there soon, they dont stay long at the NVC ( at least most of the time).

By the time we reveived the NVC letter in the mail, the file was already at Casa. I would e-mail the consulate directly with the NVC number , names of the petitioner and beneficiary, and birthdates. NVC can;t tell you if its at the consulate, just if it has left.

The consulate had our petition within a week from the letter from NVC (for a K-1 visa). I emailed Casa and asked about the appointment date. I emailed on a Friday morning and on the followign Tuesday they replied with the interview date and that the packet had been mailed to my husband (then fiance).

If they do not reply, wait a few days and email again. My experience is that they will not reply if they do not have an answer fo you.

ALSO be sure to put the petition number and beneficiary's name in the subject heading. Notice that NVC fives you a different number than USCIS did. USE the new NVC number.
