  1. This is all what confuses me he says this she says that. Ok "IF" i send in the I129 as was done 'before' is there a chance it would cause any delays in the processing of the IR1 / CR1 because as i understand it K-3 applicants have already filed for this visa by default. So even if the rumors are true it wouldnt be any skin off my back so to speak. I would just be wasting time and postage basically. Do I understand that correctly. Forgive my ignorance if not.

Anecdotal evidence indicates sending the I-129F slows the immigrant visa process. Compare CR1 timelines to K3 timelines beginning with August 2007 filings.

Well I guess Ive decided to go the cr1 route just to be safe, at least I will have time to make sure finances are in order and hopefull get one more vacation to morocco before he comes.

  4. When she was 10 and I was 30, Major problems.

When she was 20 and I was 40, would raise eyebrows

When she was 30 and I was 50, maybe

Now she is 37 and I am 57, no big deal.

Hehe this was a good one :)

We're both 21 here, he's six mos older.

I'm 40 and he just turned 28, I guess Im a cougar, lol. The only thing that freaks me out is that he is only 5 years older then my oldest daughter

  5. Said and I met on yahoo chat, in a hispanic chat room. We started chatting and ended up chating for about a year before I took my very first plane ride to meet him and get married.

  6. I finally sent off the I-130 today! Now what do I actually have to wait for to file I-129 and what do I need to send with it? Do I have to prove support while hes there or is that done once hes here? Now Im really getting nervouse.

You are meant to wait for the I130 receipt notice (NOA1) and file the I129F with a copy of it. However, some people actually mail both petitions together or mail the I129F with a copy of the cashed cheque for the I130.

I would suggest you read a few of the recent topics regarding the K3 visa (specifically those that say it is no longer valid) before you decide to take the K3 route. It seems to be a very grey area at the moment.

As for the affidavit of support, you will need to provide that for your husband to take to his K3 interview. So once you receive your approval (NOA2) and are told your case is being forwarded to the NVC you should begin compiling all the required documents for the affidavit.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I have been reading on here about the question of the k3 being canceled and Ive been debating on whether I should try it or not,(just because I want him here as fast as possible.) The thing I have with the affadavit of support is that I didnt file taxes last year( I didnt make enough) I do make enough for 2 people now though, and my employer will make a letter stating my hire date, my wages, and that I am full time, but now I got hurt at work and am on L&I and I just found out I need surgery on my shoulder, and they dont know if there will be any permanant damage and if Ill be able to continue my kind of work. Which means I will have to be retrained. On L&I I dont make enough to sponsor him by my self and I dont know if Ill have a co-sponsor available. So Im not sure what to do now.

Oh and I noticed you got your visa recently, CONGRATS!!!!!

  7. wow 325 pics.... i have a ton of pics of us together, but i was only going to send like 5.... maybe i should send more?

i was sending - 5 pics of us together, my travel iteniraries from my 2 trips there, and an affidavit from my sister...

now im not so sure its enough evidence lol

I didnt send any pics at all except for the required passport photos. but I guess there's no harm in sending tons of photos.

I plan on sending my I-130 on monday,( not sure if im going for the k3 or cr1 just yet) but what i plan on sending is the I-13, the check, cover letter all g325 for both of us, 2 passport type pics for each of us, marriage license, copies of my plane ticket there in june of 2007 and the return ticket in sept 2007. affadavits from a few ppl that they now about our marriage, copies of some chats some from 2006 and 2007 and 2008. records from skype, pictures from our wedding party and when i was there (ive only been able to make the one trip so far). I still feel nervouse that i dont have enough. We havent been on any lease together or have bank account together.

  8. You need 1 for yourself and 1 for your husband. But get more copies for your duplicate I-130 packages so that you have complete duplicates available if the USCIS asks you to resubmit. They usually give you two photos for each person, I would ask for a second set or if you have access to a scanner / color copier and a photo printer you can copy and print some extras off of the ones you get from the photographer. Thats what I did and you couldn't even tell a difference in the quality of the originals and my copies. The only way I could tell was that the originals were on Fujifilm photo paper and my copies were on Kodak photo paper. But whatever you do be sure to keep your duplicate packets completely the same as the original, all content you send in on the original should be in the duplicate packets along with a copy of the check issued to the Department of Homeland Security (Do NOT use the DHS abbreviation on the check!). Also I would mail it with some sort of delivery confirmation or tracking and keep a copy of the confirmation or tracking information in each of the duplicate packets as well.

    Good luck! :)

Thank you so much for your help, I hope to get everything together and mailed off on the 25th of jan.and hopefully a trip to morocco some time in feb. if at all possible.Again thank you very much for your help.

  9. The guides pretty much spell out for you what you need to do.

Since you are filing for a spouse you can do either a K3 or CR1/IR1. The CR1/IR1 is the better visa because your husband will receive the green card and SSN in the mail a few weeeks after entry. For the K3 you will need to adjust status when he gets into the country which means more money.

I don't know what the difference in timelines is between the 2. You can do a timeline search for Morocco and it will give you a better idea of what you want to do.

    Good luck!!

Well from what I've been told the k3 is faster,(and of course thats what I want) I just need to make sure all of the exact forms that need to be mailed with the petition for foriegn relative. I dont want a delay because I forgot a form.Thnx again for any help.

  10. hi everyone, i'm pretty new here. i havent posted anything yet, but now i feel i need to. i finally went and had a consultation with an immigration lawyer ( and surprise i cant afford him, lol) he did tell me that i would need a co-sponsor cuz i didnt make enough last year(but i will this year) my problem is that i thought my parents would co-sponsor with me but just found out my dad doesnt want to, hes afraid he will lose everything if things dont work out.my question is what can i do about this situation? my next question is has anyone on here done the dcf? if so is it a better way to go? im seriously thinking about doing this cuz i miss everyone in morocco. oh and by the way iam already married so im needing the spousal visa. any help advice would be most appreciated. thnx. bonnie.
