  1. IR-5 though, parents. I'm yet to see a K-1 case. KZ has just restricted how long can Russians stay in the country.
  2. It's been the elevator speech of the new ambassador Tracy since the Fall. I'm yet to see anything other than talk though. Visas = more staff. More staff = Russians ask for more staff in Russian embassies in USA. I don't see that happening in light of worldwide course on reducing diplomatic relations with Russia.
  3. Definitely hoping, too. For now, this is shaping up to be a 7,000 - 7,500 case quarter, a mild bump over Q3-2022 and Q4-2022.
  4. I would do comparative study regarding healthcare costs in each respective country first as well as exploring the causes of what happened.
  5. Because, let's face it, we've been spoiled. We can run any report in seconds, we can marry in 15 minutes online, we can drive to another state with no one caring. The entire concept of slow, drawn-out immigration paperwork is firmly outside of the paradigm of an average American. I'm looking back at myself a year ago just starting this journey and I am puzzled how did they even allow me on USCIS website to begin with.
  6. Another one, prove that her friends and parents are aware of you and consent of your union.
  7. Essentially, more evidence is demanded. My absolutely favorite from the recent Telegram and Facebook chats: documented proof of the moment he (she) asked you to marry them
  8. Yes! And I want to hope for the miracle like everyone else. That said. We have to be realistic with numbers - and keep planning trips to keep the relationships alive.
  9. Oh, and the icing on the cake... guess what's about to pile onto USCIS workload: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/first-asylum-seekers-cross-into-us-from-mexico-using-new-cbp-mobile-app/ar-AA16wzIj
  10. I stopped adding new cases past my own, but just prior, I-129Fs were spiking. These are currently outstanding - already minus denials and withdrawals. APR22 3480 MAR22 3802 FEB22 2988 Edit: Number of Service-wide Forms Fiscal Year To Date (uscis.gov) Q4-2022 (July 1, 2022 - September 30, 2022), latest available: 1,000 cases a week Only 7 processed for every 12 gained Added delay this quarter: 7 weeks
  11. Even the first wave is now getting hit with RFEs which now account for 1 in 3 case updates. My timeline fell back 3 days in the last 48 hours. An increase is coming.
  12. Because USCIS workload grows by 1,000 cases a week. So, celebrating a 700-case week still means that there are people about to wait a couple days longer - per week. Then times that by the 70 weeks they already have to wait.
  13. I should have clarified myself: 600+ cases a week on a consistent basis. So far the best USCIS quarter had an average of 556 cases. Yes, last week was phenomenal, but look at the dismal weeks prior to it.
  14. The approval trough is 12 weeks wide. This week people from August, September, October, November were touched. And some only got served with RFEs.
  15. I am estimating the first wave's chance. I should clarify perhaps that there's always an 8-week lag, should one's case just not be simple or lucky enough.
  16. I still stand by my point that underlings work around the clock while bosses only approve decisions during business hours. Until I see a week with >600 cases (pro tip: there hasn't been one in a year+) I will remain skeptical over individual daily spikes.
  17. It is quite random. That said, you are on track to be processed as early as tomorrow or within the next 8 weeks. Yes, it's that widespread.
  18. Serbs are flying. And neither one of you needs a visa to go there. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ju651 https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ju653 https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ju655 https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ju657 https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ju659 P.S. From Georgia you can go to Istanbul where Turkish can take you everywhere in Europe.
  19. October 2023. I keep getting called the pessimist on this forum, but I'm yet to be proven wrong
  20. P.S. I don't think one can choose the type of a visa they can request. But yes, it is so important to start building one's credit history at the early age. Um. Backspace. I meant, one's beneficiary's Schengen visa history way, way before the interview.
  21. But they have nonstop planes to Russia whereas with Serbs one has to learn patience. Source: 18 hours of Zen in Belgrade airport over the past month.
  22. What can I say? None of us truly know what's happening over there, we're just guessing. I will say it's weird how Saturdays have mainly RFEs and how Mondays are always the highest days with nothing on Sunday (and we've recently learned that USCIS runs 7 days a week). Almost as if someone key is missing over the weekend... like the pen-holding boss.
