  1. Thanks @AnotherGC, this info is very helpful. And once again, congratulations!
  2. That's great news @AnotherGC, congratulations! Do you mind to share the date that you sent the documents or the date that they were delivered? This will help me to keep track of my case.
  3. Hey @AnotherGC, have you sent the missing document? Did you hear anything back from them?vRight now I've been waiting for over two weeks, longer than I waited for the first reply.
  4. Hi @AnotherGC, when my layer first send our documents she didn't share with me the tracking code, so I'm not sure to which address she sent the package. However, I know that the second batch of documents was sent to the P.O. Box (STERLING, VA 20166).
  5. Yes! Sorry that I wasn't so clear, by same amount of time I was meaning two weeks.
  6. Well, I think that at the moment they asked more information they were reviewing the files. So if everything is ok with the new documents, I hope they reply in the same amount of time that the case is DQ.
  7. @JBRE22022 that's definitely a great tip! All of our documents but my birth certificate were approved. My lawyer said that this is occurs more often than it should. In my case, she thinks that it was because my birth certificate (although newer) was different than my wife's birth certificate. She advised us to request my wife's most recent certificate, in order for us to resubmit both of them (accompaning their respective translations) with her adfidavit that the documents are in accordance with the visa documents by country (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Brazil.html). I'll keep your recommendation in mind, altough hopefully they will DQ us now.
  8. NVC (amazedly) contacted me two weeks after my documents were sent. Unfortunately, don't know exactly why, they requested me to resend my birth certificate. Waiting again to hear from them.
  9. Hi @Surulere and everybody else! I was catching up with all the posts and then remembered a situation that happened to my case. While I was waiting for my case to be sent to the NVC from the USCIS, I've opened a service request with the TSC. On April 27th (couple weeks after opened) they even told me that my case was sent on April 19th, what unfortunately was proven to not be true - my case only was forwarded to the NVC on July 5th after the Ombudsman intervention. Hoping for the better, but thinking of all the possible scenarios, I'd advise you to carefully put together all the dates of the inquiries and responses in case you need to take any further actions.
  10. That's awesome, I'm really happy for you! It's been a long journey so far, but in your case things are finally speeding up. 🥳
  11. Hi @susana_1983, glad to hear that! Just out of curiosity, what did you argue to request the expedite?
  12. Hi @JBRE22022! May I ask you two quick questions? The first one: when you got DQ, did they send you an e-mail or you just checked the status in the CEAC? Lastly, did they schedule your interview? Thanks in advance!
  13. Hi, everybody! A couple of updates since the last time that I posted here... We've received the Welcome Letter on July 21 and in that same day I paid for the fees. On July 23 the CEAC was ready for the DS-260 form filling. To our surprise, the documents will have to be sent to the NVC via mail, and not by uploading them into CEAC. I think that @JBRE22022 anticipated this in another topic. Nevertheless, we've ordered and received the translation of the documents and everything seems ready to be sent. Hopefully by the beginning of the next week we'll have all this sorted out.
  14. Thanks everybody! It's been a long journey, and now I'm starting to be a little more confident about the process. It feels like that our life is on hold, and we can't do anything but wait. I don't know about the rest of you, but over the last months I started to take some actions in order to get the most well prepared when the time to move come, like selling our house, cars, cutting expenses, etc. But doing that without seen any action on the case is distressing, you wonder all the time: am I doing the right thing? Anyway, hopefully things will only get better from now on for all of us! As I said a couple replies before, this is my current timeline: July 21, 2022 NVC: Case Number & Invoice ID’s Sent by E-mail. July 11, 2022 CIS Ombudsman: Request Closed. July 05, 2022 USCIS: Case Was Sent To The Department of State. June 29, 2022 CIS Ombudsman: Request Replied. June 22, 2022 CIS Ombudsman: Request for Assistance Sent. January 19, 2022 USCIS: We approved your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker. June 10, 2021 USCIS: We received your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker. I'll keep you updated!
  15. Sure, leave it to me! I'll gather all the dates and post here asap. Meanwhile, I'm really happy to share that I've received the NVC welcome letter today. 🙌
  16. Great news @susana_1983, really glad for you! What a relief, right? Thanks for sharing! 🥳
  17. Hi @susana_1983! Did you receive the welcome letter? I'm asking because, considering the dates, your case is the best reference for mine. 😂
  18. @susana_1983 did you receive the NVC welcome letter / invoice number?
  19. It certainly is! A bit of relief after waiting for so much time. How's your case doing at NVC? Did you get DQ?
  20. The Ombudsman request was sent on June 22th and then replied in June 29th. In July 5th the case status changed to "sent to the dos."
  21. Just checked the case tracker and saw: "Case Was Sent To The Department of State!" 🥳 Only 3 days after the Ombudsman response, finally some good news! It seems that the USCIS is picking up the steam and starting to send the old cases. Keep your hopes high! I'll keep you all posted of any updates.
  22. Well, still waiting... I'm hoping to get any news this week. Keeping the hopes high!
  23. Great, great news! Not sure but I think that your case is the oldest approved here, right? I'm really glad for you, I can only imagine the relief that you're feeling. From now on, I'm sure that everything will run smooth for you. Keep us updated of the next steps. 👏
  24. @susana_1983 that's aweeeeeeeesome news! Really, really happy for you! 😄🥳 Did you receive an e-mail from NVC or your case status changed on the case tracker?
  25. Well, today we've received a pretty standard response from the Ombudsman regarding the inquiry that we raised. Dear Sir/Madam, The CIS Ombudsman's Office has reviewed your request for case assistance and contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding your I-140- Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker. We will notify you when we receive information from USCIS. Let's hope that this lead us to good news. Fingers crossed.
