  1. K1 visas use ds 160 and it didnt ask us for a invoice # to complete it or start it. Our embassy contacted my fiancé about the fees he had to pay before he could schedule an interview or the medical exam which he just completed the medical Monday. We needed the NVC # to submit the ds 160
  2. Packet 3 is instructions from the embassy but not all countries send that out in order for you to schedule an interview. I know we had to wait until we received instructions on payment before we could schedule an interview. No appointment needed for the medical exam
  3. Stay hopeful, and strong. This is a mere speed bump, I pray it moves quickly for you
  4. They are about two months out from scheduling, it worked for us because we wanted it in October but we got our approval to set an interview date 8/27 and they only had two days available in October as the earliest. And the scariest part about them canceling interviews is that they do it day of without notice. So you could wait two months go and that morning they cancel 😱😱 so scary so we made sure we followed their rules to the T
  5. Interesting, the Embassy in Cameroon wouldn’t allow us to schedule and interview or medical exam until they received our documents AND we paid the fee in cash. They have a website that you register for an interview but it clearly states that they will cancel your interview the day of the interview if you schedule before receiving the notice to do so
  6. Your timeline says you have an interview date, if you have an interview date then it’s already been received at the embassy and processed? Or are you just being hopeful?
  7. I would also suggest checking your timelines against others from your countries, so you can see if your timelines are similar and you can estimate your wait time.
  8. The Cameroonian Embassy contacted my fiancé advised him of the fees he needed to pay on Thursday by email. Friday he paid the fees and we were thinking we would hear back from them Monday but they emailed him confirmation today and the link to schedule his interview 🤩🤩🤩 The first part was sooo long and I thought this day would never come but the second part is going quickly 🥰🥰🥰
  9. Me and my fiancé case has been changed from in transit to ready, we are now waiting for the Embassy to contact him and give us our interview date, medical exam appointment and invoice#.
  10. Yes congratulations!! Please don’t forget to update your timeline so others with similar timelines can follow
  11. Yes I did, I used their inquiry form from their website to contact them as that’s the only way to contact them as they aren’t answering the phones and they emailed me from that web page service
  12. After 31 days my fiancé sent a request to NVC about our case and after 15 more long days I sent a request to them 3 hours ago and low and behold! They sent us an email and we got our NVC # and the email said they would be sending our files to his consulate and the consulate would contact him when they are ready to process his file. On the CEAC website it says our case is in transit and your interview date has been provided by the NVC. But they didn’t so I’m assuming they will contact us or when it says ready he will be able to set the interview date and the medical appointment....right? Either way I’m excited 🤩 I haven’t gotten the physical letter so I don’t know when they actually received my case but I know it’s in transit!!!!!! YAY!!!!
  13. Yes it’s sad but people here with NOA2 in June have gotten their NVC numbers so it may be all about the mailing process to the embassy as why it’s taking long. As they aren’t letting people know WHEN they receive their cases rather, WHEN they mail them to the respective embassies. So if there is trouble with that portion it might explain why some are still waiting.
  14. I contacted them to update my email like the guide said and it didn’t take two months for a response. More like 3 weeks
  15. I was under the impression they sent them in batches as they were completed so, if USCIS approved someone out of order then the NVC would receive them out of order. It would be a bit unfair to be approved but then have them wait to send it until all the others before you got their approvals. Now had they been doing it in order in the first place it would make sense
  16. Is this for only certain countries or are you guys noticing a pattern with all of them that the NVC is only sending case numbers after they send them to the embassy. I mean how are they completing the DS-160, can you complete it without the NVC case #
  17. I have seen the average wait time to be 30-45days after approval and the website says to call only after 30 days. I haven’t seen anyone get approved in faster timeframes but I also haven’t tried calling as it hasn’t been 30days since we received our approval
  18. From what I read only Ukraine applicants can apply online all others most use paper form.
  19. Did you follow the guide and request your email be updated or did they simply have your email from when you initially filed
  20. I thought we had to submit an affidavit of support with evidence so I gathered the information but after our approval and going over the steps again I came across the site and it said we didn’t need it until after my fiancé entered the states. I have the information already gathered so I will update you guys if we don’t have to.
  21. Got approved today! We were the lone 85500 case 🤩🥰 We filed May 10th
