  1. no it's not bad at all--especially if this can get rectified by mid-week next week.

I'm just wondering if I should take extra forms of some sort than what I was planning. Thought I could just take the tax documents I'd submitted to NVC. Strange.

Anyhow, best of luck--good things are right around the corner!

    Thanks mate,

Most of the time if you are not self employed its not an issue, but I should have learned after all this time, take whatever you can with you and hope they dont ask for any of it - good luck on your interivew and god speed!

    Cheers

  2. just a little bit further to go, that's all. and then all of this can be put behind you!

but i do have a question. Doesn't NVC verify all of the tax info (I-864 stuff) beforehand--why didn't this come up before?

Thanks hun, ya know I really dont know why it could be at the discreation of the CO doing the interview - as is alot of other people who get placed into AP - so I guess that tells me that Yes NVC requests all the info they think is needed, but then you just go prepared - my take on it. The good part is that it is not AP, just need a document signed from me and two docs from Kris and then they will issue the Visa.

I rememeber one thing we said to lawyer, we will include an appraisal on the house in the UK , but never thought to include the mortgage payout which was very minimal. DOH hindsight now.

Tis not too bad considering

  3. lol good thread

    Which RFE do you want

When completing Aff of Support make sure u list three years of tax returns - and back it up with transcripts - yep we get a check mark for that RFE

When sending Originals to either USCIS or NVC - make sure you ordered additional cause one or the other is bound to lose them. - yep we get a check mark for that RFE

When self employed make sure you look at bottom line of Schedule C - they are not crazy about gross but really sorta interested in net on that one. This happened at interview stage today - arrrrhhhh - had to do I864a to include hubbies assets even tho its on your original sent to NVC - arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :blush: Major check mark

And toss the lawyers to the shark when you have a chance, all they do is fill out the paperwork, they do not call for you so for that little item, I give our lawyer AN RFE. Check - just put them in the crosshairs of the bow and fire at will

Cheers and again still chuffed about the lawyer issues. Soddy gits they are

    Suz

  4. Wifetobe-

Thanks mate - its ok, sorta use to these bumps in the road, Kris has setttled down now and I just got back from overnighting him the paperwork - well the one signature that the embassy needs - blimey lol.

I can only say be prepared for interviews, as simple as they may be, but at least we know what they wanted and they will have on Tuesday - just sorta a bummer, but hey thats life and he will be here soon - all that matters - good thing he didnt book ticket since the house closes on the 7th of October over there and we dont move till the midst of October here in the states-

So thinking positive here yes?? What else can we do except kill eh lawyers lol grrrrrrrrr sent them a nasty email this am, dont think they will respond on that one :innocent:

Cheers and let us know if you got your LND number please

    Godspeed!

  5. damn damn damn... u must have met with Kris on the street from the embassy not a good day alll around.

When u booked medical did they not ask for the LND number? You will need this for the medical as this is how they will send the results to the embassy,.

Ring up NVC and chat with them to see what your number is or call that lawyer (if they answer) and see what is going on - sorry to hear this - you can also to AVM at NVC and put in your uscis number and see if anything ever got there - that may be a good start.

God Speed and good luck and yes on the Grosvenor Square part for the embassy not far from Knightsbridge's docs.

  6. Chin up, girl (F) . You've been through so much already, you'll get through this as well. It's just so annoying... the wait...delay... just how much paperwork do they need? <_<

Try not to strees out too much (Iknow it's easier said than done but... :) ). Thinking of you.

    Aye thanks mates major hugs-

They want the I-864A Part II signed by me so fed exing that baby as soon as they open, then Kris fills out the rest - the guy was good, the usual questions, but again with being self employed he looked at bottom line and said nope, you gotta include Kris's assets on Aff of Support - doh we did -

Printed out form, read it and said wth, it says basically what the lawyer and us have already did - oh well, he will ring up their courier on Monday to pick up this ####### and hopefully we are done. Just a bit sad and sleepy. But it will be over soon, another five days what the heck eh>?

    hugs mates

  7. Hi mates,

Just a quick note, Kris called after interview and didnt get the whole story about the wait or such, but must have been quick - our visa is on hold temporarily as to the fact they want papers on the sale of the home in the UK - due to the fact I am self employed and make over the guidelines for sure, but me thinks that they were interested in Schedule C bottom line. Who knows.

Anyways rang up the solicitor, she has the papers and signed and sworn statement on sale of house (thank god sold and closes next week) and that will be faxed to Embassy hopefully today - They said probably wait of 3-5 days so I cant complain, just put another bump on my head for the waiting - I did ask Kris tho if he had to go back and he said No, but he was outta sorts on phone so will speak later to him when he gets home.

Just an update, and again, I dont know the real rule for people that are self employed, but I have read where it comes down to that Schedule C bottom line. grrrrrr

Cheers all will post when he has that Visa -

  8. Sorry mates tried to edit-

They said that I did not make enough money even tho tax transcripts show more than above than needed, but since self employed they are looking at bottom line of Schedule C - I think that makes sense - well to them but not me, but i see the point, so they are using are assets as part of the aff of support.

Cheers and hope that clears up any questions.

  9. Ok - here goes - Kris just called pretty darn quick at that embassy.

I was in shower but heard his voice on the answering machine and he said the following:

The Visa is in a suspense mode until he can send them the sale papers of our home in the UK - ugggh another wait - so I called the solicitor and she has papers ready for him to pick up and then he sends aka faxes back to the embassy with some form 816i or something like that - never heard of it - but they want to have the assets we have in cash -arrrggghhhh - but all should be good soon i think. Sighs another wait! They said should take about 3-5 days god willing.

I did ask him hun, once they get this do you go back, he said no, it will be approved pending that paper. So peeps just a heads up, always go with everything you can and hope they dont want anything but you being there and a few questions.

Cheers mates, will be in contact later with hopefully a finally posting here. Sorry didnt get much more info from him as he sounded out of sorts.

  10. Hi guys my fiance went for his interview on Monday the 15th of Septembre in LONDON , and he was told that he was put on AP. That did not bother us because he was not really planning to come over until the second week of December. Yesterday Thursday the 25th he recieved a letter from the embassy stating that his AP has been cleared and was asked to forward his passport to the Embassy via the courier. Roughly it took us 7 working days in AP. He was a bit worried as he had 5 police certificates from different countries, so that was not really a problem.

    Have a nice day people!!!

    OMG CONGRATS HUN WHOOT! :star::star::star::star::star::star:

  11. spot on - spoke with the airlines and you have one year to use the return portion if you chose - with a small fee to change the date - otherwise your fine!

Donna, you got how many returns stil pending???? lol hun hugs

  12. On 8/29 I recieved a paper approval notice on my I-130. They never updated the document on the website as approved. I have been calling the NVC from India (where I was on business) for the past two weeks- nothing. Tonight I got an email saying my same case now has an RFE... not approved.

Can they go back on this paper approval?? I don't know what to do at this point- any advice would help.

But have the approval?? hmmm..... did u happen to put your WAC number into the NVC and see if it comes up -

Maybe someone else with more knowledge here can help, but try using the automated sytem at National Visa center

    Good Luck Im stumped yikes

  13. Read the filing instruction and send it to the lock box (PO Box) based on the state you live in.

Your petition will be send to the respective service center. You have no choice of your woen to choose the service center.

It use to be according to your region in the states, but now as everyone has mentioned it is either CSC (WAC) or VSC (EAC).

Cheers and godspeed on your journey
