When filling out the I-134, Declaration of Financial Support for the K1 it asks this "Beneficiary's Anticipated Length of Stay" what do we put for this? We intend to file for AOS right away after marrying, but techincally I'm entering on a 90 day visa so is it bad to say no end date? or should we just put 90 days? Also when doing the interview/border etc, Do I just say we are going to file for AOS right away when they ask when I'm returning home etc, Can I buy a one-way ticket there and just tell the border agent we are going to marry in the 90 days then file for AOS? or is that going to look bad? Thanks, I just dont wanna get in any trouble or face issues.

I got my receipt # the other day from the NVC via email so I used this to file the DS-160 today. I got my criminal record check done yesterday and will have the results mailed to me in the next month, I also went and got 10 us style passport photos for all the upcoming steps and am in the process of having my Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support along with all other required documents. What do I do now?? My embassy is Montreal and I don't see any places to schedule an interview I also have not yet heard from the embassy directly yet.. Do I just sit and wait now until they reach out or do I do something? Also I didn't pay anything for the DS-160 am I supposed to do that somewhere? Thanks im just confused on what my next steps are.

Hello everyone, I just got an email today from the NVC with a case number, After looking up the status it shows "In Transit Your case is in transit to the Consular Section" I have a few questions. 1) Do I file the DS-160 right now? 2) Should I now go ahead with the getting the Criminal Record Check Done & Having My Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support 3) When do I pick the interview date? Is that in the DS-160 form? Overall I'm just a little confused at what my next step is, I've done alot of research and I keep seeing conflicting reports of don't file the DS-160 now and file it right now.. also I have no idea what I should be doing right now. Thanks alot for your help, I'm sorry if my questions are dumb I'm just really overwhelmed.

Thanks so much for the quick reply, Would you suggest we reach out and get the case # now? or just wait, If it won't be too long I don't mind waiting as it gives us time to complete all the other steps we need. Thanks alot for the tips, I will get them both to start working on the I-134 so it's completed.. However do you think since its so close to the new tax season we should wait so we can include the most up to date recent tax information/receipts etc? So even though the petitioner won't fully make enough to sponser me, She fills out one and so does the sponser (who has more than enough to cover) ? Good to know. would you recommend waiting for NVC to just give us the number or should I reach out?

So do we have to do this or will we eventually get our case number if we wait? I'm just confused on this step. Thanks

Hello, We got our NOA2 in late September, We haven't heard anything since. I just found out today you can call the NVC to try and get the case # so we will be doing that shortly. What steps should we be doing in the meantime to prepare for next process? Should I as the beneficiary be getting my police report etc Done now? or is it too soon? Should she as the Petitioner be getting her father to fill out the sponsor affidavit of support form now with all his documents etc, Or is it too early? Thanks so much!! I'm very overwhelmed with all this process

Just got a copy of all 40 pages and also attached the note from my lawyer saying enclosed is the full final divorce degree. Now we wait and pray for good news 🙏 Thanks for all your help everyone really appreciate it, I know I asked alot but I have aniexty and I really don't wanna mess this up as it's so important!

Hello, I'm looking online, Is this the right thing to buy? It's the only thing with alot of pages and it's only $9.00 with 40 pages, which matches the 40 pages in the decree I have so I think its that, but Wanna make sure.. sorry I feel so stupid lol... I chose Electronic - 11 pages and Up - .10 per page.

I actually just have the 40 pages from when my lawyer gave it, I was just going to copy all 40 and send it. Depending on price to copy I may just go to the district office and pick up a copy there, I live really close

I'm sorry for all the questions, just as someone who suffers from aniexty knowing if we don't do the perfect response the whole thing will be denied is extremely scary and stressful so I'm trying to make 100% sure on everything. From reading through this thread it does seem like sending the full 40 is the only option anyway in Texas, seems like we don't have that 1 page $20 thing I've seen people talking about.

It asked specifically for Proof of legal termination of marriage. Examples : A final (absolute) divorce degree death certificzte annulment, etc. I just am unsure if what we have the 37 page thing is considering an "absolute" divorce degree.. it's a divorce degree but just not sure exactly what is needed. I've heard on here before that you can get like a 1 page document for $20 that has a raised stamp and signed by Judge or something but I'm not 100% what that is or if it actually is what they want. If I could find out what that is I would get it and send it in along with the 37 pages just to be extra safe Anyone who can give more info on that would be great or with past experience with texas divorce and what to get etc Thank you

Hello, just got an RFE for proof of legal termination of marriage. She lives in Texas and her divorce degree is 37 pages long. We sent in page 1 where it says AGREED FINAL DECREE OF DIVORCE. Page 35 where it says her name change And finally page 36 signed by the judge. Obviously this wasn't enough. So are we supposed to copy all 37 pages and send it all in? Or is there another document we are supposed to get.. I heard there is a way to get a page with a stamp somehow for $20.. the divorce was in Harris County Texas could anyone help me with finding that.. I just don't wanna send the wrong thing and kinda confused on what we actually need. Thank you very much!

How much will this delay the next step and does it decrease chances of success??? I'm Canadian, she's in US and it's a pretty obviously real relationship.. just stressful and depressing. I honestly think it's likely that we didn't submit the full divorce degree for her previous marriage it's about 32 pages and we did the front and back pages thinking it was enough but upon reading stuff I think maybe that was the issue... Hopefully whatever it is. Is an easy fix.. First time I've been truly scared and worried for our future, just didn't expect this and makes me really stressed. Thanks for any info.. wish I could know what it was.. she will keep checking mailbox.

It's been about 14 months since we filed our K1 and still no NOA2 😞 Really discouraged and starting to feel like I'll never be able to just live with the love of my life... long distance is so hard. Do you guys think we will get it soon?? It feels like we've been waiting forever. Also once we get it will the rest of the steps be faster??
