  1. Hi everyone,

I am in the process of putting the I-129F packet together, and I have plane iteneraries, photos, receipts from purchases I made while in Mexico, emails, etc... to use as evidence. I feel like I should include some type of a cover letter before my evidence explaining what I have included as evidence. Is this unnecessary? I just want to make sure the packet is clear and organized so it's easy for the adjudicator to understand.

    Thanks for your help!

    Caity

You should write a cover letter and summary of how you two met.

I made the mistake of no cover letter and received 2 RFE's.

Just explain how you two met and I think your petition will be approved faster.

  2. I came to US last Febreruary 7, 2007 and I have a greencard, I am married to an American and I came here through Fiancee Visa.

But our marriage is not going work because we both have a lot of differences in life, like of having a child, he dont want us to have children, and he is not willing to have one, Before I married my husband I have someone I talk 5 years ago when I was in college on that time, We both found out that we still have feelings for each other, He is willing to give up his life for me, He is willing to marry me and he is very much willing to have us children and he is an American too. Why should I do so that I can stay with him and separate my husband? And If I go back to Philippines, Can I still comeback to the US since I have my Greencard until it expired? I want to divorce my husband and go with him, And if I let my Greencard expired and stay in Philippines Do you think someone can still petitioned me eventhough I was already been petitioned before by my husband? And when my greencard already expire How long it takes before someone can petitioned a new visa for me? Please help me, I dont what to do, Hope that you can answer my questions, Thank you...

I think there is restrictions on your Green Card for this purpose. To see if the marriage will last and to prevent fraud, I don't know what will happen, but good luck to you and hope your next fiancee have a good lawyer.

  3. Wilaiwan says that she didn't get any instructions pertaining to her medical with the packet three she received. The old checklist that I downloaded referred to following the included documents to obtain your medical exam. Is there something missing that we need, or can she just make an appt. at Bumrungrat and proceed?

She sent it in yesterday so we've joined the que!

From what I read in the Medical Exam Instructions, I think she just needs to get her Medical Exam done prior to going to the interview. Sakina has already scheduled a flight to Bangkok to do her Medical Exam on the 03/11. It is not clear if the Doctors will send the results in to the Embassy or they will fill out the Medical forms and give it to you to take on the interview date. Sakina did called the hospital and ask about it, they told her it takes about 3 hours to process the paper work.

  4. hey guys

i met my fiancee about 2 and a half yrs ago....is that acceptable?

You *MUST* have met your fiance(e) within the last 2 years at the time you file your K-1 petition. If not, your petition will be rejected.

Isn't that "you must have SEEN (visited, been together with) your fiance(e) in the last 2 years"?

Yes, you must have met her/him in person within last 2 years from the date you file your petition.

  5. Ok, so I understand the basics of why you need to get a medical exam at the embassy as part of the visa approval. What I don't understand is why the Beneficiary needs to sometimes undergo such tests as ECG, breast exam, ect.....Very strange. What is the reason behind such tests, since I thought the exam was to check for infectious diseases that could be transmitted to others, such as TB, ect...

I don't know why, but some of the things they did to me were WEIRD and the nurse has told me that she doesn;t know why she's suppose to do that but thats what they require. They have even checked if I am really a Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was embarrasing, but we do IT ALL for love!

I think since your there for a medical exam and paying for it, might as well get the whole works .. your Fiancee maybe happy knowing he is engaged to a real girl.. haha.. :D

  6. Filed for our I129F in July 07 and received and RFE in Dec. The got my paperwork in Jan. 08 and still have not heard anything. When I call they give you so many different answers. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem? I called my Senator and had to fax information to them. They are now looking into our case.

Congrats to my good friends Tasha and Ayman on their beautiful baby boy!!!!!!

You can try calling them for an update or check the USCIS site for your case status update.

  7. Wilaiwan received her packet 3 yesterday when she got home from work. Of course she had to call and wake me up to tell me! I'm still unemployed but I want her to send it back ASAP anyway. I'm thinking that we will have at least a month, likely two before she has her interview. I should have it worked out by then. What do you all think ?? Am I figuring correctly for our timeline and interview?

Good luck to you bigsky.. I think sending it in right away is a good idea.. she should be able to get everything done before the interview date..

  8. I'm just reading and being nosey :D .. Mark and Anya seems to be having some family issues.. hope everything works out for them.. anyways, I just came back from my trip to Thailand from 01/28 to - 02/24 .. was just happy to get time off and be with my daling :D .. but still waiting for the interview date and very anxious for everything to get done and have my daling here with me! Good Luck o everyone!!

  9. First, I want to say 'Hello' to everyone. I just found this site yesterday and I can't tell you all how relieved I was. I spent yesterday researching the guides and forums and found answers to most of my questions.

One question that I wasn't able to find an answer to was, how my fiancee's name should be listed on the Fiancee Letter of Intent to Marry? She is Vietnamese and the custom there is to give the family name first then middle and finally the given name. Should she use this form or the American form of given name first and family name last?

Finally, good luck to everyone here. I'm sure you will be hearing more from me in the coming months.

PS-Vietnamese is a crazy language with the letters having so many variations, but it is still an alphabet based on Roman letters, right? I mean, it's not necessary to fill in question 16 on the I-129f(write her name and address in the native alphabet), is it?

I think you are just over excited :P .. Just fill everything as it is and you will be fine.. put her given name in the given name field and her surname in the surname filed and how ever she spells her name in her native language.. just follow the instructions :D

  12. I live in the states and trying to get approval for my fiance who lives in England. I know that my income is looked at but is his? We submitted our petition in January and it is killing us to be apart and we are thinking about him quitting his job and coming here for 3 months. Would that look bad for the visa process? We don't want to do anything that would harm and prohibit him getting approved but looking at how long people are having to wait is frustrating and we don't want to waste anymore time not being together. Our application has not been touched since January 8th and now it is the end of February and we are getting doubtful that this will go through anytime in the next few months.

Welcome to the club. The process is slow and very frustrating.

  13. It worked!!

I sent the email to visasbkk@state.gov and they replied saying they will resend the packet and also gave a link for the Packet 3 checklist info saying we can use the online forms. Here is the link if any one needs it:

    http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/immigrant_vis...structions.html

My fiancee printed them out and will turn them in ASAP.

She got her police records and stuff already and everything seems to go as planned.

Now she just needs to go and do her medical stuff.

  14. Go to this link for the US Embassy in Bangkok. It has the packet 3 instructions and forms. She can print them out at any internet cafe'. We ended up printing most of ours out off the internet anyway as we could fill them in electronically.

    http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/immigrant_vis...structions.html

If that does not work, contact the embassy via e-mail and ask them to resend them. Here is the format I used for e-mails to the embassy. They responded within a day everytime.

    To: visasbkk@state.gov

    Subject: 2nd inquiry BNK2007xxxxxx (rin's full name)

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Concerning K-3 Visa petition

    Case number BNK2007xxxxxx

Petitioner: (my full name) (DOB xx/xx/xxxx)

Applicant: (rin's full name) (DOB xx/xx/xxxx)

Please notify me at (my e-mail address) whether the Embassy has

    received

our Packet 3 checklist (mailed via thai post on 3/13/07) and if an

interview date has been scheduled. Also please advise if packet 4 has

    been

sent to the applicant. It has been two weeks since it was returned to

    the

Embassy and I am concerned that it may have been lost in the Thai post.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

    Best regards,

    John

    Hope it helps and goodluck!

    John

    Thank you very much John..

    I will try that.
