  1. Congratulations. It's nice to see so many approvals coming through
  2. I read your previous posts. It seems you once had a K1 visa, you entered the US and then adjusted status. Unfortunately in this case you are not legally permitted to do so. As others have said, your only option is to file the I-824 this time. The mistake on the petition causing this is costly in both money and time. You cannot call USCIS about this not the consulate in Australia. The mistake now means this next costly step must be taken to progress.
  3. Hi, I had this issue. It times out on you. As a workaround I entered 2 addresses at a time, with the last one entered as having a 'from' date of my 16th birthday. Then you can save.
  4. I am confused, why would you have needed a US passport to travel? Could you not have travelled on your UK passport?
  5. When you have to submit something for an RFE you go to the back of the line. As of Monday 14th August NVC were reviewing documents submitted on 2nd August. When did you re-submit?
  6. They are referring to the welcome email you get from NVC.
  7. Hi, Thanks for this. I plan on getting my licence as soon as possible anyway but just wanted to check. The part I found about not needing SSN from October 1st was on a separate website. If it's not on the DMV website I'll disregard it for now. Thanks
  8. Hi All, Wondering if anyone can confirm as I'm unable to access the DMV site for MN from the UK at present (It tells me site is blocked.) From what I've managed to find, I believe I can drive on my UK licence for up to 60 days in MN? I have also found that from October 1st 2023, you don't necessarily need to have obtained your SSN to get the drivers licence, meaning I can apply for the permit straight away? Can anyone help confirm this please? Thanks in advance
  9. Had my interview today and was approved!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 less than 11 months in total for us. Somewhere we got really lucky, but I love seeing all the September approvals coming through!
  10. Around 4 days. Our timeline: Approved 28th April, Sent to department of state 4th May, Welcome email 8th May. Both fees were attempted to be paid on 8th May, but DS-260 fees failed, re-sent 11th May. All final documents submitted 31st May (I had to wait for my police check as I wasn't ready for such a fast approval.) NVC RFE 14th June, RFE uploaded same day, DQ 15th June (Which also surprised me as I expected to wait 2 weeks again.) I'm London embassy: IL received 29th June. Medical 13th July, Interview is tomorrow, 8th August.
  11. Around 4 days after case updated as sent to department of state. took around 3 days then to accept fees to begin filing.
  12. Thanks. I actually meant to write IL, in referring to having plenty of appointments available. I'll correct my post.
  13. I had to state the date of my interview and take the appointment letter with me - it was on their list of requested items I recieved after booking the appointment. This was only a couple of weeks ago so recent. The medical is not needed before an interview is set in consular processing, but it is requested to have it at least 2 weeks before the interview date to ensure they can send it to the embassy in time. In my case IL received 29th June, I booked the medical on 29th June for 13th July, Interview is scheduled 8th August.
  14. Good move. Interviews are scheduled quickly there. Mine is next Tuesday and I was DQ'd 15th June
  15. Congratulations! Did you decide on switching to London embassy?
  16. I am transferring with a large global company also. What I have from them is a letter of intent. I will not get a contract until they can verify my right to work which is after I have entered the US.
  17. Unless you have a long work notice lead time like I did. I had to give 6 months notice so couldn't wait for visa approval 😞
  18. Typically in UK interviews are ~2-3 months from DQ. Could be less. I was DQ'd 15th June, IL received 29th June, Interview is 8th August. @jons_wifey Visa medicals have alot of availability at the moment, so you should find it easy to book once you are DQ. If you are missing any vaccines, it may be worthwhile already getting them on NHS if you can. I had MMR and tetanus booster done.
