Yeah that’s what I assumed too. I think it’s because they are used to work visas, and have their own lawyers dealing with things from A-Z? I’m not sure, I’m confused as well haha.

Hi all, I currently work for a large global company with an office in the US. I applied for a super exciting position and have spoken to hiring manager and HR already. I'm in a position now where the HR team wants to make sure that everything is fine regarding the Visa. I sent them a scan of my I-551 Stamp and my A-number, but they seem to still be looking into it and can't move on. Is there a way I can reassure them that they can hire me, or do I have to fly in to "activate" my status. Has anyone had any experiences with this? I'm flying in on the 30th of August and the IV category would be IR1.

Ugh we got the dreaded “interview cancelled” email, although we never received the initial email with date and time for interview. Does anyone know what that means? Luckily it’s the Stockholm embassy, and they should be fast.

We submitted to the NVC on March 9th. My birth certificate is in a pretty deep fried condition, so I am hoping for no RFE. 😅

Hi! Yes, these should be US sized passport photos. We had to send in 4 to our lawyer, but I recommend getting a few more. We had to send ours to our lawyer, and they got lost in the mail. If possible I also recommend your mom going to a photography store and have them send her the photos in a digital format. Then she can forward the image and you can go to a CVS and print them out yourself, since overseas mail can either be very slow or sometimes lost.
