  1. HI guys got some questions, in the k3's appointment packet, it say there, an official letter from NBI is needed when it has the following notation, NO CRIMINAL RECORDS, NO CRIMINAL CONVICTION, ETC., what else do they need? I had secured my NBI clearance ahead of time last Oct and It says " NO RECORD", so I've never heard of that official letter, what was it all about? Anyone who can explain to me. So what do I need to do?

Just for information, My I-129f packet was on its way to NVC, and I know it won't stay there for long, that's why I'm starting to ask informations for those whose already done preparing and for those who are still preparing for the interview. Forgive me guys for my ignorance. thanks!

  2. I went past my 180 day mark at least for the I130. My hubby called up USCIS to check if they had any new updates and was told that he has to wait for 30 days before making any inquiry. 30 days include holidays or no? :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I also went 180 days mark, and we were also told to wait 30 days. It reach 200 days going by the date of my I-130 and my I-129f was approved on the same day. just hang in there, your approval will be on its way to you. Dont worry.

  3. hi, Can anyone tell me if i can attend the CFO seminar even before my embassy interview?

    help pls! thanks!

hi forgive my ignorance but what is "CFO" seminar? what is it all about?

  4. Approve 11/29. Both touched 12/6. I129F only touched 12/12, no RFE call, I'm done with CIS LOL. Hope that helps

    hi guys!!!

    what could this touch mean?

Our case was approved both I-130 and I-129f on Nov. 30. I got touches for both I-130 and I-129f after approval on Dec 02. I checked my portfolio just now and found out that I got a touch for my I-129f again on Dec .13., but my I-130 was left untouched. I remember I made a call 2 days ago Dec 12 using the rfe line but she didin't give me any information about the I-129f case because I'm not the petitioner. I'm just wondering if this touch is made because of my call even though she didn't give me information. , or the touch could mean, they already forward my I-129f to nvc/ What do you think? if this is the case, what will happen to my I-130? Anyone who experience the same?

what do you mean your done with cis? Did nvc received your case?

  8. pechez,

If both were approved together, it is very likely that they I129F will be forwarded to NVC and the I130 will be sent to the Nation Records Center for storage until you file for Adjustment of Status. This is the policy they announce more than a year ago in this press release: http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf

They had some initial problems implementing this but are now pretty good at it. If both of your petitions were going the NVC, the easiest way to tell would be to look at the NOA2 for the I130, if it says it is being forwarded to NVC, it will be forwarded. If it says you are already in the US, then it will go to storage at NRC, and it will tell you to file the I824 to get consular processing on the I130.

The I129F will be sent to NVC, it has taken some recent approvals as long as 6 weeks to get to NVC. Once there, you will be put in the system, a case number generated for you based on your embassy, and the file will be forwarded. This NVC process for the I129F takes about 2 days (but could take up to 5).

The affidavit of support will be the I134, and must be carried by you to your interview for the I129F. But, now that you have your approvals, it is time to start getting it together. If your embassy issues a packet 3 with checklist, it will be one of the items that you should obtain prior to turning in the checklist to schedule the interview.

Hi guys! forgive my ignorance. Our case was both approved last Nov.8, We got an approval notice and according to my hubby, the instructions and the original copy of that approval notice was sent to the lawyer.

I called USCIS today and asked if they already forward it to national visa center. The guy was really polite however I'm confused with the informayion he gave me. According to him, My hubby has to fille I-824? What was that? Coz our lawyer really doesn't explain much about what 's the next process after approval. She just email some questions regarding the affidavit of support.

Is the affidavit of support urgently needed? Coz my husband is very busy and we thought affidavit of support is only needed when I already have schedule for the interview.

Is it needed at NVC? Can anyone explain to us the process after approval? Are both I-130 and I-129Fbeing forwarded to NVC? What happens next?Is the I-130 being hold? coz we'll go to a k3 route. Is the affidavit of

support needed at NVC together with the I-824?

Thank you urge to race, but what happens if they forward both petition to nvc? Will it affect my k3 case? Will they let me go to CR-1 visa? That I don't want to happen. coz we are really going with the k3 route. So you mean, NVC doesn't need somrthing from us like the affidavit of support or anything? and they will just go on with the processing and all we can do now is wait. I really thank you for the information. I hope I can be like you who knows all about the process, so I'm not like this. It feels so good that I've found this site, because calling USCIS is useless and sometimes they don't know what they are talking about. YOu're even better than my lawyer. She doesn't explain to me the process and I just to find it out myself. Good you're there. thanks a lot! , and by the way, I'm not in America, I'm the beneficiary , I'm here in the Philippines.
