Wow! Literally right after posting I checked my email and was asked for passport and all documents! 🥳 Not getting too excited yet as still have some waiting and stuff to do but great feeling to finally get an update almost 16 months later!

Thank you for innitiating this.  Provided my comment, but I do expect the gov to take longer than AP time to process the comment and hopefully they can come up with a reform by 2050.

One more update (will do one more before signing off lol):
 
Our case says "issued" today! Marks 22 total updates since starting AP, and we're waiting to see when we get the tracking number and all. Hoping to get the passport back shortly this week, so we can plan the crossing this weekend  
 
Was in AP since Nov 9, 2023. 

I've almost got the new version of the tracker ready to go. I'll share the link sometime today and will also put it into the current tracker
 

Quick update to anyone interested..
 
We sent the passport and the consulate should have received it last week on Tuesday. The medical results are taking a while here in Ontario - seems the public health responsible for returning bloodwork results is backed up. It's been over a week since we've been waiting for those results. 
 
In the meantime, our case last updated date has not changed, not once since getting the email. We assume it'll update once the medical is sent and they finally take the passport from the mail room or something. Just hoping things continue moving because it's just been delay after delay lol

I think we may want to consider moving our tracker to read-only. There have been several cells which have been deleted / modified / moved which is braking some logged data. There are 75 people on the tracker + others who monitor and don't participate. There are several of us who have made changes, added columns, calculations, etc. I suggest a few of us manage the logger in a similar way Hawk Riders does for the IR1/CR1 group tracker. I am happy to take this on (if others agree), and anyone else who wants to help manage can DM me and we can create a group to managing the tracker.
 
If the overwhelming response is to keep this open to be modified by all, I'm okay with that too. Just trying to resolve the issues I keep seeing whenever I check the tracker.

Sorry for the radio silence. Passport and new medical sent in a week and a half ago. A couple updates since but still “refused” on CEAC. Expecting a few weeks at least - will keep you guys posted.

We had an update yesterday and sure enough another today with an email from the consulate to redo medical and send the passport (and 2 passport photos) 😭😭😭
 
There is hope! The pattern of more regular updates leading to an email from the consulate seems to be legit. 

Since this is Department of State, which is regulated by the executive branch (i.e. President), legislative branch help (i.e. representatives, senators), can't do anything about it.
But POTUS or VPOTUS absolutely can!
 
I would suggest everyone in this thread (+ their citizen sponsor) to send a message to https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ . Hopefully if we send enough messages, it'll be clear there's something to be done here.

Another update today, last two were Monday 4/8 and 4/15. 
 
Expected one yesterday so it follows the weekly on Monday, but didn't happen, though it updated today. 
 
Still nothing from the consulate (and my email is still unanswered that was sent on March 28). 🤷🏽‍♂️

We had a last modified date change on our case last Monday (April 8th). 
 
About an hour or so ago, we got another. Other than the 8th, last week was silent. Seems to be a trend for Mondays for us? 
 
Not looking into it much, but hoping for the best..

I got little kids and my spouse has been so strong, but now, after 8 months, I'm seeing her start to break. Raising little kids alone isn't easy, sure, I visit,  but it is not the same.
 
 
I just daydream about the day I finally get that visa in my hand and clear US customs. 
 
Kind of a nerdy example  but I think I'll feel like frodo when he finally woke up in Rivendale and everyone was laughing.
 
 

Passport in hand!! Took less than 24hrs once the purolator tracking number was sent. Now pivoting holiday plans to cross the border and see my family! To be honest I didn't even get a stamp the last time I entered US, but I'm assuming it would be B2 as the few other times I've gotten a stamp it's said that. Just frustrating to hear that I maybe could have just showed up in the USA 2 years ago, filed a change of status and have already been working and living with my spouse there over the past year.
 
Instead, I (and many people here) have chosen to go the CR-1 or IR-1 route because we wanted to be honest and forthright with our intentions, and yet we are shuffled off to the side and delayed upon delayed by the bureaucratic processes - even when we have proven we would be valuable citizens to the USA (no criminal record, valuable skills). We are separated from our family cruelly and unjustly, and absolutely nothing is being done about it. If anything, the delays are now getting longer.
 
Makes you wonder if it wouldn't be better to just show up and say "hey I want a new status" and avoid all of this bureaucratic BS.

wow congrats! 10 months later - so long 🥴 I thought the "extension" they can request was up to 90 days in total, disheartening to see that they can go 90 days and then ask for an additional 4 months
