  1. Hi everyone,

We have just received DQ finally after RFE!

My husband's interview will be at the Bahrain consulate. I don't really see anyone talk or ask about this embassy so I cant really predict when we will receive the interview letter. I was hoping if anyone has experience at the Bahrain embassy I would appreciate any information about how long it takes from DQ to receive the interview letter?

Just as a note, you can always file taxes, even if you had no income, that way you maintain a history of filing, and can always get transcripts if needed. Sometime you even get money back if you qualify for rebates and other things, so it always pays to file.

Oh really I didn't know that. Thank you for that information!

Reply to the RFE with the required documents

Make sure the case # ,  both names and both  DOB's are on the documents (upper right hand corner is where my lawyer put them) before u scan them

Documents do get scrambled in transit and / or lost

don't forget the bar code cover letter

u don't need to send anything in NVC doesn't  ask for as

the originals will be taken to the interview

    ??? what do you mean?

I am still in the NVC stage. I submitted the documents asked in the RFE and still waiting for review. I am asking if there is any chance NVC would reject documents that have already been accepted.

  4. Hello all,

I had submitted all documents January 24, received an RFE in April on marriage certificate and birth certificate. They were both rejected because they wanted the bilingual version from egypt. All other documents have been accepted.

I am wondering now if NVC would reject a document after being accepted. In January I had uploaded 2 documents that I lated found out was sideways. I was expecting those to be rejected but they were not. My question is should I re-upload those documents again as additional documents as I wait for my second review? Or just leaved them alone since they have already been accepted? Would they reject them after already accepting the documents before?

NVC rejected one of my documents that was sideways, it was a picture. It took them 1 month to review that document again

I 2 had documents that were sideways when I submitted the first time. When they reviewed my document they have been accepted but another document was rejected for another reason and I received an RFE. My question is if the document has already been accepted in the first review would they reject it again after They review my RFE??

Let’s hope this means the processing time is significantly reduced!

WOW! so now we cant even get into contact with them at all. Those email inquires are useless, you wait 2 or 3 months for them to answer you email only for them to send you a generic "your case will be reviewed soon and documents needed will be asked for". An answer that has absolutely nothing to do with the question that was asked. I doubt this will reduce anything! Those people answering the phones weren't even officers that review the cases.

    1. Proof of petitioner domicile. - Provided children school admission, Lease agreement, Notarized letter from petitioner's family member, Petitioner job search emails.

    2. W2 for sponsor.

    3. I-864A for joint sponsor spouse. - Missed it in the initial submission.

Congradulations!! did they ask for all those documents at the same time. Like 3 messages at the same time?

    I shouldn't reset your position.

Most people have had no issue with adding additional documents after the press that "submit" button.

I think someone in the March group uploaded their extra docs the same day they were reviewed~~

Thanks! thats great they didn't reset their spot! But I think that was their first submission wasn't it? Like this wasn't after they received an RFE. Have you across any posts that uploaded an additional document after resubmitting their required RFE document?

I would create a  new I 864 and get IRS transcripts of 2021 taxes (or copy of the 1040 with all W'2's,  1099 or 1099r) and send these to your spouse to take into the interview

make a copy for your records before mailing them to spouse

I haven't been DQ'd yet. I am still at NVC waiting to get reviewed after RFE so there is a chance they will ask for 2021 taxes. I was just wondering if I upload under additional documents will it reset my position again.

  10. I received an RFE in April for my husbands Police Certificate and Marriage Certificate. I resubmitted both in April! Everything else was accepted (AOS documents and DS-260 Application). I had 2 household members added with their tax information along with me. Everything had been accepted with my 2020 taxes.

My question is should I upload 2021 taxes or is it not needed since all my AOS documents were accepted?

If I upload 2021 taxes would It reset my time since I received an RFE and it is not the first submission? It would be under additional documents. I really don't want to reset my time all over again but I also don't want another RFE. I really don't know what to do.

Does anyone have experience uploading additional documents while waiting to be reviewed again after an RFE?

Wow.  Was that common over the last few weeks?  Meaning people getting DQ far out from the date listed on the State website?  As of yesterday they were reviewing March 1st.  So next week should we see a big jump forward or will it be another 8 days forward?  If we see someone DQ past the 10th before Monday, that'd be big.

I noticed they have been 2 or 3 days ahead of the days they post on the NVC website. Just so people don't call and bother them with questions I think. But it is always really close so Its best to still go by those dates.

I have a puzzling question: I received three emails from NVC on 5/5 stating that  all the documents are complete and they will contact the consulate to schedule the interview. But as I login the CEAC account, it contained two messages saying "All required applicant documents have been received and approved"and "Documentarily qualified". However there are two documents marked missing, although the two "missing" documents are within the accepted list of documents, and I can open them with no problem. These were accepted in the February already (before the first RFE). What should I do? I have sent a inquiry request to NVC and trying to call them, but it is so hard to get through.

Since you recieved the DQ letter I think your all good
