Its over 4 months since my Vawa approval but they have not transferred my I-485 to local office, in an inquiry last month they said my application is at NBC.

EAD C9 getting 540 days auto renewal and which means you can still leagally work for 540 days from date of expiry of your EAD. regarding the drivers licence renewal i am lil skeptical, i have not seen them granting licence on receipt but no harm in trying

I do not have US passport, I will be travelling on my advance parole I am just wondering if I return a week before expiration date of my Advance parole combo card, is that going to be a problem. Thanks, I will do the same.

Thank you, I am just skeptical because I have heard that you should travel only if you have at least 90 days on your visa okay, in my recent enquiry with congressmen, USCIS responded that my file is at NBC (did not mention which one but the response was from Summit MO NBC) and they will ultimately be sending it to field office. I was confused where should I be sending the renewal of EAD or should I be sending to both the locations to be safe

@Sandra G. @balo101 @Family I have to send renewal for my EAD C9. Where shall I send? As my I-485 is still pending and what i have read I should be sending it to Vermont. but recently I received an RFE for DOB certificate for my I-485 and that came in from NBC Summit MO. I never received any notification saying they are moving my file. So where shall I be filing the renewal of my EAD to vermont or Summit? Second question is how safe it is to return to the USA on advance parole before a week of its expiry. Thanks

In that case they have to send you another RFE requesting for medicals. do you think of any instance where they could have send you the RFE and it never reached you. I recently got RFE but they never updated the status online that the RFE is issued. In that case we will never know if there is an RFE issued.

Did her prior letters like prima facie show correct name or if not is there a reason she did not get it corrected. I do not thin it should be an issue you can explain the officer but why to take risk, She can get it corrected now. Attaching link on how to correct your name. For vawa she can reach out to congress person to get it corrected.

I am confused as all my prior documents now including C31 card and C09 Combo EAD has my first name as "No first name" and now they have updated it with my last name as my first name I am confused if I should renew my EAD (which is nearing expiry) with which name ? Shall I go with "no first name" as it holds in current EAD or I should go with the updated name? In my prior experience they need to match the name with the receipt number in order to look up the application. I don't know what should I do. If I should ask them to update it or leave it as is. Have anyone been through this scenario. I think I know what has happened, when I was submitting the enquiry with the congress person they asked me to use my only name in both first and last name and after that enquiry USCIS have updated my name. I am so confused now.

I am about to send the birth certificate irrespective. In the explanatory letter should I mention that I have only one name and I have not requested for name update?

Hello Family, I am very confused what to do, a week back I received a notification on I-485 that they have updated my name (I had not requested for any name change/update). I did some research and found that they do update name/address internally sometimes to match the documents so there is nothing to worry. I had submitted an congressmen enquiry to check on my address update (as USCIS was sending documents on my old address even after I submitted application for address change) , so I assumed may be its an address update. Today I received and RFE on my I-485 for birth certificate which i already submitted while filling the form, so not sure why are they asking it again. I also noticed that my name is now updated (I have only one name so all my forms had FNU as my first name till now but this RFE said my name in First and Last name). Do you think this is going to mess up my process? Second question is I received the RFE on Orange color paper does that mean anything? what should I do please advise.

I would suggest the same, if USCIS is saying they have not received it yet refile with check or Money order, happened with me once, had delivery proof but USCIS never received it.

Okay. Thanks, I will send it by September end. I don't know but for whatever reason i was thinking USCIS will reject the application if filed for renewal before 180 days, I hope that's not true.

My I-485 is pending submitted together with vawa in Nov 2020. Vawa got approved this June. I am considering I might get it by then but not sure.

Thank you so much @balo101 for responding, I am just wondering that I might have to travel next year may when my C09 combo card expires and even though i submit it for renewal considering the given timeline I might not have a travel document then to travel.
