    hi @Pranav469

You will get an email when it leaves NVC. They leave every other week on Tuesday or Wednesday. So, next will be on 8/16, 8/30, 9/13 and then 9/27. You will not know when it got to NVC until you get that case number in that email. There is way to decode that case number to figure out when it got to NVC. Your case number will start with be BMB like mine. Give it 45 to 60 days from your noa2 date. Once it leaves NVC and you get that email, your case will change to ready on the ceac site. That is when the embassy received electronically. Then I used the DHL hack to track my package. it took 6 days to be delivered. After a couple of days after delivery, the ready status again updated to ready, this time it is when your physical package was received at consulate. We are supposed to wait for packet 4 to schedule interview. But, based on others experience and my impatience, I went ahead and scheduled. My fiancée did get a call from the consulate to ask if she scheduled and did medical.

We have interview next week Aug 19th. I am leaving tonight to Mumbai to be with my fiancée. Wish us luck :)

no need to wait for Packet 3 ??

Some US consulates (not Mumbai) sometimes accept self-sponsorship (ie. using the beneficiary income and assets) for K1.  London is one of those.

Note also that the I-134 form is used for other processes, not just K1 visa.  Beneficiary's finances could be relevant for those other immigration processes.

Thanks for satisfying Answer !! i appreciate your explanation !!

Finally after 15 months!! Tomorrow I leave for Buenos Aires, I am going to attend the interview on the 28th.  I know every Embassy is different, so not sure how I will be treated, if anyone out there has been through the process I would appreciate a little insight.

I think we are prepared, I have all the original documents, the original application, the approval letter, the NVC confirmation, the DS-160 barcode.  I have my I-134 support form with documentation of income and assets, and a file with proof of relationship that is almost overbearing!! Including photos and letters from friends during the 6 months we spent together in Mexico!!!  I think ours is a slam dunk, but nothing is ever guaranteed!  I hope they can issue the visa without too much delay, it is winter time in Argentina and we want to enjoy together what is left of the summer here in the Midwest!!!!!

    Here goes nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hey !

in new edition i-134 do beneficiary needs to provide his income and assets ?

    congratulations for your approval !!

i want to ask some question for help !!

    1. in how much time you received welcome letter from NVC.

    2. in how much time the case was ready by NVC.

    3. in new edition i-134 do we need beneficiary income assets to fill up ?

    Thanks

    Our K1 was approved today!

interview took 5 minutes and only 3 questions:

    1.  How did you meet?

    2.  Has petitioner been married in past?
    3.  What are your wedding plans?

The Officer only asked to see wedding plans documents.

The officer was very professional and nice and helpful and made me feel comfortable and less nervous.

    congratulations for your approval !!

First off,  you need to know that since you are asking for the income for I-134 then above posting of Jeanne is absolutely correct that sponsor must need to have income only 100% of poverty guideline and not of 125%. Right now your case is of K-1 visa, and not for AOS. Thus, income at 100% poverty guideline is needed,  not of 125%. You would need sponsor or joint-sponsor’s income at 125% level of poverty guideline when you would file AOS even though that would be so soon of obtaining K-1 visa. You would get some time off to think about how you would proceed or what to do about I-864 in those 3 months after arriving in US but right now sponsor needs income only at 100% level.

And your attorney is100% correct that you do need a co-sponsor because your sponsor’s current income is not enough.

how much time we have after marrying to start filing for adjustment status !!  can i apply for work permit before applying for green card

it means that the income satisfies immigration rules

BUT u need to know the CO (person who does the interview)  decides to deny or issue a visa

they look at "totality of circumstances"

they look to see if she can afford your health care insurance / to see if she has even checked the cost of this in her state

they look at the amount of time u have spent together to see if u know each other well

they look at the ages of each

they look at education and work experience

there is so much more to the interview than just income

Thankyou so much , for giving your precious time for helping me !!

u need to listen carefully to what a lawyer says

he/she may have been concerned with the AOS process after marriage where u need the 125% ( $22887)   or the joint sponsor

OR lawyer is  looking at her adjusted gross which would be around $10490

    get to know the process

    https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-eligibility/green-card-for-fiancee-of-us-citizen

know that after marriage u will send in all applications to AOS for the EAD card, and AP  (cost at this time is $1225)

anyway u are asking for your USC partner

and either she finds a second job or  gets a joint sponsor for the AOS

and she figures out who to pay your expenses here like health care insurance

or you two give up this idea of a visa

and this is up to her to figure it out

means now 18,310 income is enough to me clear the interview for k1 !! and after marriage we need to 125% income for applying greencard !! right ??

for a family of 3 its 23,030 so how big is this family?

its still 100 % for the K1 visa not 125% until the AOS interview (8 months or longer after the intending immigrant files after marriage)

Family size 2021 income numbers 2022 income numbers
    For individuals $12,880 $13,590
    For a family of 2 $17,420 $18,310
    For a family of 3 $21,960 $23,030

just my fiancé and me , 2 household !! but my lawyer said we had to find a co-sponser !!  what is difference between AOS interview ? and 100% and 125%

That's an asset, and my understanding is that acceptance of assets is completely up to officer discretion. Easier to get a second or other job imho.

Your co- sponsors don't have to be family FYI.

Complete your profile in your account.

can we show her current job status and salary ? what i need to complete in my profile ? i just added noa1 . date

    Thanks for helping

    You need a co- sponsor.

Which embassy are you going through? Please complete your profile and timeline to get more accurate answers. Acceptance of co- sponsors for a K1 might vary by Embassy/ Consulate

can bank saving help us ?

My understanding is that income is not relevant until interview time. Meaning, if petitioner’s income is above the poverty guideline by the time of the interview it should be ok. But I’ll let others more knowledgeable on K1s chime in.

What’s the expected income for 2022 as of now?

in the interview they will see recent annual tax papers , new guidelines are above 22890. my fiancé income is 22600

  13. 41 minutes ago, Jorgedig said:

Not really, because the 125% will be needed for AOS.

Petitioner can look to get second job or one that lays above poverty wages.

my fiancé filled 2021 tax papers her income is 22600, but uscis increased the poverty guidelines in march atleast 22890 needed

They have the wrong address for you from your application, go check your copy of the application. “Document was mailed” status actually meant mail was returned to uscis as undelivered in our case. Our street address had some inversed numbers due to sloppy work typing by our attorney. You need to update the address with uscis to end this delay.

Thankyou , you are right dear !! our mailing address wasn’t correct !! so we wasn’t able to collect our NOA1 from mailbox , and USCIS got that notice letter back , that’s why they are saying ‘Document was Mailed’
