I'm not sure if this helps, but I will share my experience.  My step-children from the Philippines entered the US over a year after their mother's admission.  However, the US Embassy allowed / advertised the extension due to COVID being a factor.  We filed for AOS, EAD, and AP.  They received their green cards with no issue.

Yeah i am not sure that applies anymore.

They filed for AOS and denied.

File I 130 and I 485? Well my first thought.

    How old is the child

    12 years old.

I am wondering if the basis of the denial is even standing... I mean if the child has one year deadline and cannot do AOS adter that, how was he even admitted as a K2 when he entered at 13 months?

I mean its impossible for the child to go back alone and file for a family based visa, so I am wondering what is the best course of action here?

Maybe i130 and i485 is the answer....

Waiting to see other replies as well

  3. Since i got my AP card, I left US on 19 August to visit family.

Today i took my phone off flight mode, and got an sms that: We have taken an action on your case. Sign in etc... But there is no change under myUSCIS, and nothing new under documents.

Should I ask Emma, or wait for an update on myUSCIS?

Just to say my case was approved on July 18th.

Case was received March 8th and Biometrics taken March 29th.

I'd heard literally nothing since March 29th and suddenly got approved!

    Which location did you file?

We have the exact same dates. Case was received March 8th, biometrics 29 March!

EAD and AP combo card was approved on May 9th

We received it on 24 May

Still waiting on Adjustment of Status

  5. Everytime someone posts here, its like i hear crickets 🙄🤣

Still waiting on AOS... March 8...

Was hoping on a fast approval, we have a pretty easy case, same nationality originally, lived in same city back home etc.

I think besides the few cases that are approved in 3-4 months time a more realistic timeline is 1-1.5 years from recent approvals i've seen on our Facebook Group.

Hi everyone! Just wondering if there are other people in the same boat? Timeline below:

    File Date: 3/13

    NOA1: 3/18

    Biometrics: 4/4

My USCIS account just says that my I-765 is being actively reviewed but says that it is taking longer than expected. I-485 says about 4 months. Only reason for this is that I am seeing a load of people get approved/received their EAD/combo card who applied after me. Nothing I can do but wait (I am aware) but just a peace of mind know there are other people like mine.

Did you check the "documents" tab?

    Hi all,

My first post here after silently watching this thread for the past two months.

After getting my I-130 approved yesterday, My I-485 was approved today! I honestly still cannot believe it was so quick.

Hoping this means fast approvals for you all!

    My timeline:

    3/15/24 - PD

4/1/24 Received notices in the mail + I-864 RFE

    4/3/24 - Biometrics

    4/5/24 - EAD approved

    4/5/24 - RFE response sent

4/10/24 - RFE response received by USCIS

4/29/24 - Got EAD in the mail

    5/8/24 - I-130 approved

    5/9/24 - I-485 approved

    that was super quick

    congrats!

Just recieved a notification saying that action has been taken on one of my cases. Upon checking my account it now shows that my EAD card has been produced (18 days)! I'll update once it is recieved.

    Same here today!

Received an sms, saying the same thing.

Checked the case tracked and my EAD is approved. Applied March 8th, Biometrics was 29th of March. 41 days after biometrics

I got 3 letters from USCIS. One with the biometrics appointment information. One is a receipt of both the 485 and the 795 and one is the receipt of payment. None of these have any access code on. Just the case number and my A number on them. I see nothing else about online anything.

You should have had 4 or 5 if you applied for Advance Parole - Travel Dodument as well !

    - USCIS Account Access Notice (containing your online access code)

    - NOA1 for Advance Parole (if you applied for it)

    - NOA1 for AOS (i-485)

    - NOA1 Employment Authorization (i-765)

    - Biometric Appointment Letter

You can try and ask Emma for the online access code (ask for live agent, and tell them please provide me with online access code so that I can add case to my uscis account as I did not receive the letter with the code) or call USCIS and ask them to resend you the code
