@harshshahI just went today to get my driver's licence! I went to the DMV in Washington. Most states have a licence exchange program with Canada so they punched a hole in my BC DL and gave it back with a temporary paper for a WA DL. Will get my WA DL in the mail soon. I brought my passport with visa since my green card has not appeared yet, my BC DL, and my SSN, though I think they would take a birth certificate instead she asked for one but I didn't have it on me. I brought the SSN slip with my US address on it as well though she just asked me to verbally give her the address. Took my picture and all done in 10 minutes.

thanks for input. Just to be on the safer side, i got my drivers abstract from service Ontario. thanks

From all I have read, no reason to be concerned. This represents a waiver granted to you for not having received all the necessary vaccines. The waiver is granted because the doctor determines it is not required for you.

You mentioned you didn't get Varicella. My understanding is the requirement for varicella was waived because you had chicken pox as a child and hence the vaccine was determined by your doctor to not be required for you.

    @harshshah

Note - The FAQ also says this would not cause any issue at POE.

    thanks.

Just got my passport back today with the visa in it. But in the annotation section it has 212 (g) (2) (B) in. it. should i be concerned? I did get both my covid shots and also my flu shot.

I have a similar thing. I know somebody else and he had the same thing in the passport. Does anyone know what that is?

Was just going through my documents and realized that my I864 and I864 A forms expired yesterday. Someone was recently asked for I864 and I864A forms. Do i need to fill out new forms when i go for interview? what's the deal with it? anyone in a similar boat?

I was DQ'd on Jan 16 2021 so really hoping that i will get an interview letter this month.

I was refused because my medical report hasn't come through yet (I just got it done late last week) but he said as soon as that comes through I will be approved!

    They asked for my:

    original birth cert & copy

    original marriage cert & copy

    original police certs & copies

    original work permit & copy

then at the second desk he asked for my I-864 & I-864A.

all in all they were very nice. we spoke about traveling and our star signs. :)

They asked for I864 and 864A?? Didnt we already submit that? Do we need to get that print out as well?

  6. I follow US embassy in montreal facebook page and they recently shared 2 update. They have added extra resources and hoping to clear the backlog

They mentioned currently they are interviewing Oct 2020 for spousal visa. But i hear some folks who got DQ'd in Dec 2020 got their interview. Amy thought?

May be they didnt have updated number? which is very odd by the way!!

On A TN, so have gone back to Canada once since the police clearance, and going again in September.

How long ago did you get your TN? I had an opportunity to work in USA on TN but lawyer advised against it. Said it may get denied since I am close to interview (DQ Jan 16 2021). Lawyer also said during the interview process it could reflect bad as both visa category (TN and Green card) have different intention.

Do they ask you anything abt green card being processed ?

  8. Hi Guys,

Question about Police Clearance - I have summitted my documents late last year and got DQ'd on Jan 16 2021.

My Canadian and Indian police clearance cert would expires in Nov based on 1 year validity rule.

Now I read that its valid for 2 years!! is that accurate info? Has anyone been to interview with over 1 year of PPC? Indian PPC takes about 4-6 weeks to come and now added delay due to covid. I would like to make sure that I apply for a new PPC so I don't get delayed once I get my interview call.

  9. Hello,

I sent an expedite request to NVC about 4 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back yet.

Anyone else waiting for any reply from NVC? They dont have phone services due to high volumes of call right now.

any other way to get in touch with agent and inquire about my case?

  10. So i sent an e-mail to embassy for expedited request and below is the response i received. I got DQ'd on Jan 16 2021 and case status says currently at NVC. But I got an e-mail from NVC when I got DQ'd that NVC will work with Montreal embassy to schedule an interview. I have also sent a req to expedite to NVC as well but I thought since I am DQ'd NVC is just a medium to schedule the interview. In this case, who can expedite interview process at embassy? Any suggestion? Any advise? Did I miss something?
