If you can get a record of insurance from your auto insurance provider, that is also a big help when shopping rates.
This lists all you need:

@harshshahI just went today to get my driver's licence! I went to the DMV in Washington. Most states have a licence exchange program with Canada so they punched a hole in my BC DL and gave it back with a temporary paper for a WA DL. Will get my WA DL in the mail soon. I brought my passport with visa since my green card has not appeared yet, my BC DL, and my SSN, though I think they would take a birth certificate instead she asked for one but I didn't have it on me. I brought the SSN slip with my US address on it as well though she just asked me to verbally give her the address. Took my picture and all done in 10 minutes.
thanks for input. Just to be on the safer side, i got my drivers abstract from service Ontario. thanks

People who have crossed the border recently, Have you applied for US drivers license yet? I live in Ontario and planning to move to Atlanta. what sort of documents do I need? Any idea?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From all I have read, no reason to be concerned. This represents a waiver granted to you for not having received all the necessary vaccines. The waiver is granted because the doctor determines it is not required for you.
You mentioned you didn't get Varicella. My understanding is the requirement for varicella was waived because you had chicken pox as a child and hence the vaccine was determined by your doctor to not be required for you.
Note - The FAQ also says this would not cause any issue at POE.
thanks.

APPROVED!!!
DQ Jan 16 2021
Had my interview yesterday at 8.15 AM. It was a smooth process with lot of waiting as everyone said.
Got there at 8.05 for 8.15 interview. When through security and up the elevator and was told to go to Window 6.
Submitted my passport and passport size picture. She kept it and got a number and had to wait for my turn.
After waiting for about an hour was called to window 8. Confirmed my name and address. Asked for fingerprint and to submit the original PC, marriage cert and tax docs. Then asked to wait
After waiting for another hour got called on window 2 for actual interview. She swore me in and did the fingerprint again and got asked bunch of routine question
1. Tell me about ur spouse
2. what do u do
3. what does she do
4. Where do i intend to live
5. have i ever been refused for a visa - I was in 2011 for visitor visa - didn't seem to be a big deal
6. there was an anomaly in my middle name - seemed like a no big deal
7. Asked if i had any other document for marriage. I had marriage license, She took it and made a copy
8. Where have I lived ? Have I traveled anywhere in last years?
9. Did u read the domestic Violence doc? Any ques?
She said I am waiting for some system check but it should be find and I intend to approve ur visa
Looked like they are having some system issues. As she was putting info in it looked like there was something wrong on the computer.

Hello,
Was just going through my documents and realized that my I864 and I864 A forms expired yesterday. Someone was recently asked for I864 and I864A forms. Do i need to fill out new forms when i go for interview? what's the deal with it? anyone in a similar boat?
I was DQ'd on Jan 16 2021 so really hoping that i will get an interview letter this month.

I printed out what I submitted but the signatures were in pen. I was afraid to bring the copied versions just in case.
fair enough. Thanks for the reply.

I had already uploaded it to CEAC but he asked for the original copies. He said it was a good thing I brought them because it could have "delayed the process by several weeks"
Original copy meaning you just printed out what u submitted? right? I did a soft copy and uploaded it.

I was refused because my medical report hasn't come through yet (I just got it done late last week) but he said as soon as that comes through I will be approved!
They asked for my:
original birth cert & copy
original marriage cert & copy
original police certs & copies
original work permit & copy
then at the second desk he asked for my I-864 & I-864A.
all in all they were very nice. we spoke about traveling and our star signs.
They asked for I864 and 864A?? Didnt we already submit that? Do we need to get that print out as well?

May be they didnt have updated number? which is very odd by the way!!

On A TN, so have gone back to Canada once since the police clearance, and going again in September.
How long ago did you get your TN? I had an opportunity to work in USA on TN but lawyer advised against it. Said it may get denied since I am close to interview (DQ Jan 16 2021). Lawyer also said during the interview process it could reflect bad as both visa category (TN and Green card) have different intention.
Do they ask you anything abt green card being processed ?

Hi Guys,
Question about Police Clearance - I have summitted my documents late last year and got DQ'd on Jan 16 2021.
My Canadian and Indian police clearance cert would expires in Nov based on 1 year validity rule.
Now I read that its valid for 2 years!! is that accurate info? Has anyone been to interview with over 1 year of PPC? Indian PPC takes about 4-6 weeks to come and now added delay due to covid. I would like to make sure that I apply for a new PPC so I don't get delayed once I get my interview call.

Hello,
I sent an expedite request to NVC about 4 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back yet.
Anyone else waiting for any reply from NVC? They dont have phone services due to high volumes of call right now.
any other way to get in touch with agent and inquire about my case?

So i sent an e-mail to embassy for expedited request and below is the response i received. I got DQ'd on Jan 16 2021 and case status says currently at NVC. But I got an e-mail from NVC when I got DQ'd that NVC will work with Montreal embassy to schedule an interview. I have also sent a req to expedite to NVC as well but I thought since I am DQ'd NVC is just a medium to schedule the interview. In this case, who can expedite interview process at embassy? Any suggestion? Any advise? Did I miss something?************************************************** Thank you for contacting us.The U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is processing new immigrant visa cases from the National Visa Center and is prioritizing Immediate Relative family members of U.S. citizens, including fiancé(e)s, as well as other mission critical categories such as medical professionals. We will resume services for other categories as soon as practicable, according to the Department's tiered prioritization guidance: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/immigrant-visa-prioritization.html. While we aim to schedule and process cases as soon as practicable, there are increased wait times for completing services due to the ongoing pandemic and substantial backlogs. The U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is currently only able to schedule a limited number of new immigrant visa appointments. We will continue to interview scheduled applicants at this time and will update applicants as the situation develops. As this case is still at the National Visa Center (NVC), you will need to contact the NVC directly to submit a request for an expedited appointment. Expedited appointment processing is approved in only the most urgent cases. NVC contact details are available here https://nvc.state.gov/ask ********************************************

Is it a good idea to just apply for TN online? skip the whole interview process all together .
-
@HD_BIRDS Thanks for the info. that was helpful. I believe being upfront at the border would help. Al though what do you mean by go through a port of entry with trained NAFTA officers? is it like going for TN interview with lawyers? The lawyers my comany has hired gonna make me a file and I have to go alone for TN. They did say they will walk me though on how to answers questions.
