  1. Hi all! Does anyone know if my husband (beneficiary) and I (U.S. citizen) can briefly visit my family in the U.S. before his interview as long as we provide evidence we still have our home/jobs in the UK? We were DQ’d a couple weeks ago and plan to delay his interview as long as possible but still hope to see my family soon.
  2. Thank you! I tried looking into this but I read something about once someone is DQ’d the case isn’t at NVC anymore? So they can’t delay it there?
  3. Ah okay thank you for the advice! I'm not sure we would be able to take 1-2 months away from work to do this and we would need more than 2 years. We're thinking about staying so I can enroll onto a PhD program. Do you know if we had to withdrawal from the process if it would cause any issues regarding visiting the US and/or going through the process again in the future when we're ready? As of last week yes but haven't received an interview letter yet.
  4. Is it possible to delay at embassy stage? Both petitioner and beneficiary are in the UK and we're considering staying for a few years now. Can we delay? Or if we enter briefly once the visa is issued can we then leave and return for visits over the next 3-4 years without abandoning the green card?
  5. DQ today after replying to an RFE on 9 August✨😊 RFE was due to not filling out the i-864 properly given our situation (petitioner living abroad).
  6. The Spanish version of the page is up to date though and it says as of today they are reviewing cases submitted July 28th! This happened a couple months ago too and they updated the English page again within a day or so.
  7. oh no, i'm sorry! here's the link to the application and more info: https://www.acro.police.uk/Police-Certificates-Online
  8. is this what it looks like? it would be exactly this with the creation date next to the photo.
  9. I am a US citizen with FLR(M) too! My partner and I submitted our i-130 in April 2021 and we're still waiting at the NCV stage. It's looking like he won't be able to enter the US until at least December this year.
  10. Ah I didn't even realise there was a section for that, thank you very much!!
  11. Good to know all, thank you! I included an appraisal, the land registry documents, a letter, and verification from the bank that money from a future sale could be immediately transferred to a US should we need it.
  12. Ohhh I see, good to know! Yeah I was expecting an RFE regarding the asset more than anything honestly. I wonder if because I put my actual current income they automatically assumed I wanted to use that and didn’t even look at the asset evidence.
  13. Gotcha, thank you for all the help and insight. I really appreciate it😊
  14. Such a shame. We're not selling the property as of now but fortunately I have a job offer that starts November 1st so if they don't accept the assets I'll just go back first and resubmit with that income. Do you know if there's a minimum amount of time you need to be in a job before using that income as evidence?
  15. Makes sense, thank you! So I've uploaded a new I-184 with $0 as current income. Do you know if this is likely to result in another 10 week wait?
  16. Oh interesting! Did you get an RFE too? I'm not sure how I could calculate a negative gross income tbh Do her tax transcripts say $0 too? It won't unfortunately, but we've submitted proof of our assets instead because none of my family members could sponsor.
  17. Hi all! I'm the petitioner and work in the UK so we listed our property as an asset on the I-184. All our documents were approved today but I have an RFE asking to provide evidence of my income. I provided tax transcripts for 2019-2022 and listed my current income converted to USD on the I-184. I think I should have listed 0 instead since I don't have taxable income due to the Foreign Tax Credit. I've uploaded an updated I-184 listing my income as 0 but I'm not sure if I should also upload my current payslips from the UK as well? Can anyone please advise the best course of action?
  18. Submitted May 30th and just got an RFE to provide evidence of my income but all documents have been accepted. I'm the Petitioner but I work in the UK and attached my tax transcripts for 2019 - 2021 showing no taxable income due to foreign tax credit. (We're using our UK property as an asset). I think where I went wrong was I put my current income on the I-184 instead of putting 0 because I thought it had to match my gross income reported on my tax transcript. After reading around it looks like it's suppose to match taxable income instead? I've just uploaded an updated I-184 as an 'OTHER' additional document with a comment addressing the RFE. Do you guys think this was the best course of action?
  19. Hi! I submitted the IV docs 30/05 and mine says that same thing so I wouldn't worry about it since it says complete and submitted on the other portal😊
