My wife's 485 is approved. There was an update couple of days ago saying an action was taken, and status changed to Approved this morning!
Good luck folks waiting. We got an RFE for tax and medicals that was responded to back in April this year.

Hi y'all,
Question: For anyone who had to mail the medical exam, how long did it take them to say it was received?
We applied April 19, 2022, Expedite request got my husband his work and travel permit by the end of July 22 and we next heard from them on May 10, 2023 when they approved the I-130 and sent and RFE to request us to mail the medical exam to the field office. We did on May 25, and USPS says it was delivered on May 28. Our status is still at "RFE sent."
Same here got rfe for medicals and sent them in May status still says rfe sent.

We called for an expedite for travel and they instead gave us an appt at local office perhaps to pursue that while this gets processed. We filled some form at the local office but didn't get an emergency one, that one anyway they said was only valid for 30 days or may be 60 tops that too beginning that day. So we decided against it since our travel plans are in the future.

How long did your expedite take?
Hard to say if this has anything to do with the expedite request. They gave us an appt at the local field office where we were basically denied expedite since we couldn't provide docs to request emergency expedite. So not sure...expedite was placed Oct 21st.

Each time you requested expedite - how long did it take to show on your "MyUscis" ?
It hasn't shown up at all. But somehow they are aware of that, the second time we called the agent said the first one didn't go through because it's missing a reason so they have some record of it but nothing on the UScis account.

Same here filed in April and biometrics in May and no update since then. Need to travel out of the country so requested for AP expedite over phone twice but nothing so far.
Anyone know any other way to contact?

We've requested expedite for AP since we need to travel out of the country, this is the second request. But nothing so far.

Hi, so I received an RFE as shown below. I already submitted IRS Tax transcript when I filed for 2020. So unclear if below is asking me to submit for both 2020 and 2021 (because I filed 2021 taxes since first time I filed for 485). Also it says Federal Tax Return, what does it mean?
Anyone else received RFE like this one, please suggest.

Welcome to the thread! You might get an answer if you were to complete your timeline it's incomplete!
ah, updated 485/131/765 filing dates, thanks. Now it shows
Based on timeline data, your AP may be adjudicated between September 28, 2022 and November 13, 2022*.
Is that reasonable, 6/7 months then? I'm happy if it is.

Hello everyone! Happy to be joining this group of April Filers we are K-1 approved, now adjusting status. Sent i-485, i-131 & i-765 April 2, NOA1 on April 4. Waiting for biometrics appointment. Hope to hear something soon. Submitted to Phoenix Lockbox🙂
Hi how are you? We are on the same journey, we also submitted 485, 765 and 131 recently just got a text message acknowledging receipt. This is the second submission, unfortunately the first one we forgot to include the fees! Refiled and looks like it's good this time. We submitted to Chicago PO Box address.
Anyone knows how long to get particularly the AP approval?
Good luck to all!

It takes a long time, unfortunately, but the good news for you is that you at least applied in plenty of time. The only thing you can do at this point is basically be patient, and call your local office once in a while to make sure that they haven’t forgotten about you. Given that you applied pretty quickly after entry, hopefully you will be fine. Best of luck!
Thank you. Yes, waiting now!

Good advice. My fiance arrived on 1/15/2022 and we applied for her ssn on 1/19/2022. For some reason, there were two Casecheck verifications submitted, (on 2/2 and 3/1) We were told that the first verification (automatic) was not cleared. So, they had to send documents to USCIS and manual verification (3/1) was started. Good news is the second verification was cleared on (3/16). So, we called and they told us to expect the SS card within 1-2 weeks. We hope that this is the end of the waiting game.
Good to know of a timeline, thank you, I did call the SSN office and told them to follow up since it says the agency can contact SAVE if not heard for 20 days. The rep said she needs to check if they can and will follow up. So hopefully it'll start moving. You can't add an updated W4 w/o the spouse's SSN right? Has anyone tried to get an ITIN, is that faster? And drivers license for her also and they all get backed up w/o SSN. We are planning to send the 485 packet this weekend, do you think SAVE verification or getting SSN is dependent on submitting filing 485?

Hi, my now wife came to the US on K1 visa on 2/3/22 and we applied for social security number for her on 2/25. The office says it's pending verification based on her I-94 etc. The SAVE system keeps showing Case Under Review. But that the requesting agency can contact them if they haven't heard in 20 days. Is there anywhere we can check/follow up on that Save system? I thought it's going to be pretty straightforward, she came here on K1 visa and has an electronic I94, but it's taking so long.

Happy to report we were approved earlier today at Mumbai India consulate 🙂 They kept her passport and told her they'll be sending the passport with approved visa in the mail (we opted for delivery vs pick up there). They were pretty thorough questioning though, on the photos she took with her, the officer asked to identify folks in the group photos. But my fiancée told me the overall attitude was quite ok and comfortable. She carried about 25 or so pics with her and showed when asked - some from engagement and some from other trips. We didn't compile any whatsapp chats/video call history though since it was too cumbersome and not very clean and we speak in a different language than English. Our case is pretty solid though I think and I've met her 4 times in India last year and accompanied her for the interview. Although I wasn't allowed to come in, they asked her if I was there.
Thank you everyone on this forum to keep the last almost 1 year engaging and informative. Good luck to all!!

My case was received at NVC on December 16th but has been there since. I think I missed the last shipment date (Dec 21/22) so I'm hoping I can make the next shipment date which I think is Jan 4/5.
When you were booking an appointment in Mumbai, what were the earliest dates available? I'm just trying to get a sense of how far out the appointment will be from the day that our case is declared "ready"
I see. When I was checking there were plenty of appointments available, but had to go back in a few times to select something further out since other things need to line up PCC Medicals etc. FYI if it matters, I didn't wait until it's ready at NVC, we started ds 160 once we got the NVC number and paid the DS 160 fee a week later. That way you can check interview appts even if you don't book yet.

I have noticed that almost all cases sent to India are "Ready" within less than a week of being "In Transit" so seems like the norm.
If your case is ready you can go ahead and schedule your appointment (provided you have done all the prerequisites like obtaining a PCC, medical, etc.)
Hi yes I scheduled the interview in Jan, we did not get the packet 3/4 yet though. Also curious about your status, did you have an interview already? I don't see it on the timeline. Thanks.

Mine changed to Ready. I don't know how that's even possible since it changed to in-transit just this Tuesday.

I got the email this morning that my case has been shipped to the embassy! So thankful🙏
I hope it doesn't take long for us to get an interview time slot
Hoping others receive good news today too!
Congrats, me too! Scheduled interview for Jan 14th accidentally actually. Might push out a week or so depending on availability.

Hi my fiancé is trying to get the PCC from a Passport center and they were asking for "Invitation letter from us or equal documents" - we filed for K1 visa which is now at NVC so we don't have an invitation letter (packet 3/4?) yet.
Can anyone help?
