Congratulations! If they are consistent with the “heads up”, your interview shall be in the week of May 10.
Thanks. Agreed, it should be that week. I'm targeting May 11th or 12th. Will find out soon!

Update, my Interview was scheduled today. It is just 2 weeks after my biometrics appointment. I will update my interview date when I receive the notice.
03/21/2020 N400 filed
02/23/2021 Biometrics Notice
03/11/2021 Biometrics Appointment
03/25/2021 Interview was scheduled
I received a notice in my online account that I am being scheduled for an interview. How long does it take from the "initial notice" to the "interview letter" being downloaded to my "document" section. Is it 24Hrs, 48, 72? Can't wait lol

I have the same thing going on too. I don’t even have any estimated completion date. Also when I pull up the case history it would say “Invalid Case date and notice of Receipt was emailed.” Not entirely sure what is going on but this is frustrating.
YOU ARE GOOD. you just reading it wrong:
it is not "“Invalid Case date and notice of Receipt was emailed.”
It is "Invalid Case date" PUT VIRTUAL PERIOD, then "notice of Receipt was emailed" - meaning the system could not feed proper date to the statement, so it spit out ""Invalid Case date" and continued with the statement ""notice of Receipt was emailed""
I had this appear on my account for a full year, until just yesterday got notice I am being scheduled for an interview! Good luck.

Any other updates? I’m still waiting for my interview. 03/2020 filer
I am very HAPPY to report to our "Newark filing location" group that TODAY I received a notification in my online account that I am being scheduled for an interview!!! I'm expecting a formal letter in "document section" within 24-72 hrs, and of course will share the interview date.
As a reminder (and as per my Timeline) I filed on 3/26/2020 with NOA date 3/31/2020.
Case history updated to: March 29,2021 Interview Was Scheduled.
SIDE NOTE: my estimated case completion date was "updated" to Dec 2021 (9 months) - (of course, this is not reliable, just FYI).

Waiting for interview....
Annabanana316 & Hariram30:
Thank you very much for sharing your dates on this thread. What I was referring to when asking to update Timeline, I meant the Timeline that is part of your "profile" visible to ALL through the link "Timeline" displayed on the bottom left of your member icon under your "coutry flag" (within the margin on the left).
To update your "Timeline" in "your profile", simply go to upper right corner, click drop down box next to your user name, click Timeline, then look for "update" on upper left, and enter appropriate dates/comments under N400 of the form.
This "Timeline" is now visible to ALL, and you can filter through filing location etc.... Thnak you! Let me know if you have any questions.

No updates. Are you willing to share your Timeline?... if everyone was doing it for the group benefit, we would have had abundance of data/updates.

I just received the email that my interview has been scheduled. Since I don't have a timeline for my N-400 due to active F2A case with my husband, I'm posting my dates here:
Priority Date: 01/18/2020
Biometrics: 02/04/2020
Interview scheduled: 03/08/2021
Date: TBD (probably sometime in April?)
Great news! So are you saying that you received an email, but no reference on your USCIS online account?
If January filers are being scheduled now, I need to take a chill pill for the next 2 months (March 2020 filer) lol

My interview has finally been scheduled for April 5 in San Jose, CA but on March 19 we are moving to Maryland. My husband is in the military and he will be stationed there. We have everything arranged already and there is no way for us to stay here and wait for the interview. Should I come back to CA for my interview or try to reschedule? I'm not even sure when we will have a new address in Maryland so I can't really notify USCIS about address change.
I would invest in a quick phone call to immigration attorney to potentially save you the trips back and forth. Specific question is if USCIS officer can decide on your case on April 5th IF you no longer live in that jurisdiction at the day of the interview. It’s a jurisdictional issue here. IF attorney confirms it is not a problem for USCIS I would keep my appointment in CA. Unless you are OK in delaying your case by USCIS moving your file to the respective office location handling MD State. IF your new location will be a jurisdictional problem, then ask about proper quickest way to move your case. Note, I am not advising you to call USCIS and ask (I wouldn’t, you can) as you may encounter a low tier individual with limited knowledge that selects definitions or pre-recorded responses that may or may not apply.
However, regardless of what you decide, file AR11 electronic form on the day you move, and bring printout confirmation to your interview. -

I think you both look at this the wrong way. I see progress and even if its weeks, couple months, few months at least I'm at the step of getting an interview appointment. Would you prefer being stuck at biometric appointment or stuck at interview appointment for even if its a year?
The fact we do not subscribe to euforia of mass issued bio re-use across 2019,2020,2021 filers, does not mean we do not welcome the step (we do) or does not mean that we would prefer "being stuck at biometric appointment or stuck at interview appointment"
For me, I recognize that we CONTINUE to be stuck at the respected positions, either weeks (for 2019) or a year (for 2021 filers), and it was purely a "psychological maneuver" to issue a bio letter EARLY to many people who are exahusted with prospect of waiting for a very long time for interviewes. To my interpretation, the move does not indicate any acceleration to the process. However I recognize the psychological value, which works better on some than on others.

Your calculations assume that interview scheduling is a linear process and strictly goes by filing date.
This is not the case.
Not much of a calculation, in this example, simply a copy-paste assumption based on specific case of bkoz.
Of course it is never ever a linear process. Due to the fact no one here has access to USCIS logic in interview selection process, all we can do is generate an educated GUESS based on specific assumptions/references etc.

Hi. Filed on February 29, 2020. Biometrics cancelled and rescheduled for Dec 15, 2020. No interview date yet either
based on bkoz's feedback, it appears your notice should not be more than 7 weeks away (the latest). Almost there.

January 4, 2020 filer checking in. Interview notice dated February 26, 2021, for April 14, 2021 interview date, so can confirm that Newark is still likely working through January filers.
Thanks for the feedback! that helps to put things in perspective. Good luck to you, I'm sure you are excited the journey will be concluded within a month.

Got Scheduled noti on Feb 19 - Cancellation on 23rd.
sorry to hear that.... I would definitely call USCIS to check what happend there.
This would not be just a "standard inquiry" with cookie cutter answer from USCIS. You have a specific episode that you need someone to explain to you. I would call. Not that it will expedite anything but still.

with these many reuse notifications recently in all timelines and offices, can we still say this though? I'm December filer and got mine today, but sounds they changed their process and might have to wait a little more than other applicants with reuse letter in the last few months.
You are 100% correct. I made that point on other forums as well. People get excited but it appears there were massive amounts of bio re-use letters sent to individuals across the spectrum. Specificly, Newark NJ sent notices on the sam day to January 2021 filers, March 2020 filers (me) and everyone in between. The next step, interview, could be a few weeks for Jan/Feb 2020 filers, but several months for Dec2020/Jan2021 filers.

Sure thing - I'm pretty active in the immiworld but more on facebook lately than here. Moderating two decent sized groups and member of some others and I filter by Newark Field office in Naturalization groups and see the updates who's waiting, who posts interview experience with dates etc
Ok. Thanks for sharing the sources. I only check this site. Abandoned the FB long time ago but I may still have an account (I guess lol). Can you share FB group name, I'd like to check it out, thanks.

Hey Guys,
December filer - Interview got scheduled and the got cancelled/descheduled very next day.
Does this happen to anyone here?
Newark office - December 2019 filer.
Thanks
Interesting. I did hear ppl stating they got their interviews re-scheduled due to weather, but to "schedule" and "cancel" next day that's new to me. Was it recent?

Update: September 2019 filers also scheduled for March, some December 2019 filers still waiting... It's hilarious...
Can I ask where you see that data? Those December 2020 Newark,NJ (location specific) filers who ACTUALLY UPDATED their profiles had their interviews already.
Those who haven't updated their profiles for past 2 months show no change (obviously). The key is to pay attention to "last update" to cross reference.
I noticed trend to claim Dec2020/Jan2021 filers "still waiting" but many times those are ppl who did not update their profiles, which does not mean they haven't had progress on their cases (simply haven't had a chance to update this forum).
Anyway, I did notice a trend to Newark/NYC, but again, does not apply to all, never will, as some cases are "typical" and others more complicated. Outliers / random cases always will be within a system.

Newark processing time increased to 15.5 month, Although I like your analysis but something is off with Newark and I still see a lot of January filers haven’t received interviews notices.
Newark processing time on website is for "inquaries", meaning your case should be adjudicated prior that time limit - again, just my interpretation.
Now, to prove the 15.5 wrong, that would mean December 2019 NEWARK,NJ (important) filers would be interviewed in early April, and/or USCIS would now intervieweing November 2019 filers.
Actual data, for those who UPDATED their timelines:
October 2019 NEWARK,NJ filers were interviewed around January 2021
(no data for Nov 2019 filers)
December 2019 NEWARK,NJ filers were interviewed around February 2021
Jan 2020 should be interviewed in March 2021 (notice early Feb) - In order to state Jan 2020 filers did NOT recive their NOTICE is to actually have those filers UPDATE/CONFIRM their status. I haven't seen them update.
Feb 2020 should be interviewed in April 2021 (notice early March).
Again, this is all speculations.

I don't believe anything is odd with my case so far - there are plenty of January filers that files before me and are still waiting The N-400 filing has no connection to the I-130 I filed for my husband, which was approved a year ago and is therefore not even at USCIS anymore.
Agree that the above is a good thumb rule, but we are just waiting for his visa to be printed and shipped to my husband (embassy requested passport) so for us everything worked out and he may be here by the time I take my oath
Hi again. I didn't say there is anything odd with your case, I simply stated that your F2A pending concurently with N-400 may / or may not / affect processing time, but we can only speculate. Hope you get your notice soon.
As far as Jan 2020 filers, I haven't seen anyone (except you) filing in Newark who did not get the notice yet. Timeline is silent on Jan 2020 filers updates.

Yes I explained that a couple of times. VJ doesn’t allow for two timelines and I am sponsoring my husbands F2A and have my N400 pending concurrently. Since F2A cases have more phases and therefore more valuable data for VJ stats I went with that one for my timeline.
N400 was filed on 01/18/2020
Biometrics done 02/04/2020
since then “we are actively reviewing”
estimated completion was 09/2020 and since then the estimate is gone and it just says “we’re taking longer...”
Understood. You may be, unfortunately, the "odd-ball" due to F2A concurent case, but hopefully will not lag too far behind the "N-400 only" cases.
BTW, maybe something changed, but if I remember correctly from years ago, there was a rule of thumb that Permanent Residents should not even waste time with filing to sponsor their spouses because it will take so much time, that it's best to simply wait for Naturalization, and THEN file as US Citizen sponsoring spouse (quicker).
