I agree with @Crazy Cat, pursue the senator option and the USCIS ombudsman first, if you get nothing there, then you may want to look at trying the Writ of Mandamus route, but I would look for a lawyer if you end up at that point.

I will do! I am due to fly this Saturday but I am still in the very early stages of my pending I130, we have only received our NOA1. I am not as far in the process as you are so I do not have a pending interview at this particular moment in time (hopefully soon lol!).
