My case was stalling for a long time, I kept learning bits and pieces" why" - libe agents, officers - I kept asking why surrounding cases are processed? Why my is untouched? How come that other cases are moving forward since they claim that it is happening in order and so on so that. I guess they finally got tired of me 😅

    thanks for the tip.

what are they best ways to do this? just calling customer service and complaining?

My case got completely derailed. I started calling them once a month and demanding a call with an officer and then asking if my case is "active". It finally put my case back on track...

Can you please explain what you mean by "derailed'

and how you fixed it? you called uscis customer service and ask for tier 2 officer and said what?

    thanks

Yes - they updated recently to check online rather than by phone

If case not found it is not in the court system and therefore no final order of removal has been made in abstentia (which can happen notices go missing in the mail etc)....to even get to the court system can take years, and may not even happen at all.

You are good to go if the stamp is still valid.

thanks mindthegap, i called it said it couldn't find a case.

online also said the same thing. so i was never put in removal proceedings? and i can definitely travel with a stamp and denied i751 as long as my new i751 is pending?

last question maybe stupid.. A-number i entered is the number I received when i came to US. It never changes right? it is the number on my conditional green card that I received many years ago before denials.

  4. hi folks, i filed n400 12 montsh ago and my i751(waiver) has been pending since july 2020.

my i751 never got transferred after filing n400.

last update for both is "fingerprints taken"

is anyone in similar situation? i'm worried that my case got forgotten because it is never transferred. i see almost everyone's case gets transferred after filing n400 but mine didn't.

    appreciate any feedback

Yes you can once your not in deportation proceedings, call before you book your tickets and call again at the airport just to be sure.

I got approved and waiting on oath ceremony

    @mindthegap

thank you. how can i find out if i am in deportation proceedings? what number or system i can call?

i didn't recieve a letter but i don't trust that they send those letters on time.

how can i be 100%sure? thank you

Hey @Guido51 something occurred to me. Your i751 is a divorce waiver right? How come you were able to apply for the n400 already? If you are doing i751 that means you have only been a resident for 3 years. If you have a divorce waiver then that means you are not eligible for n400 under the 3 year rule. Or am i missing something?

yes divorce waiver but i applied with 5 year rule. my first i751 took way too long and i had a divorce so this is my second i751. hope this makes sense.

for the n400 - the documents tab is your 100% proof what has has been sent so you can be sure about that

the i751 is unfortunately a different story.

thank you and i agree with you.

for i751, my case status would still change right? and my lawyer would also receive the notice. in these case, i think i shouldn't worry about missing notices but i still worry(anxiety)

I am going in for my interview. Its a combined N-400 and I -751 interview. I am divorced and thus I-751 is to remove conditions on my green card.

I have submitted a copy of my divorce decree with the application. The interview notice doesnt mention I should go with the original divorce decree, but I read some people mention on VisaJourney that they went with a certified copy of the divorce decree.

Could someone who has been to a I-751 interview (to remove conditions because of divorce) confirm if USCIS needs a CERTIFIED copy of divorce decree or not ? And do I need to go in with an Entry of Judgement too (from the family law court)  ?

    Thanks

i am in similar boat but can you share which service center has your i751?

and which location has your n400?(your interview)

there are some cases reported here where they moved AND updated their address, but notification was still mailed to their old address. as a result, they missed interview notices etc. not saying this is what happened to you, but worth checking. that was why i asked about your n400 because if you applied online because for an online filing through the myuscis, there will be a digital copy of all letters uploaded in your uscis online account so you will know what has been sent even if the physical mail did get lost. maybe there is indeed no movement yet on your n400. did you try calling them about your 751?

hi thanks for reply again. yes i checked documents tab and there is no interview notice. documents tab has only biometrics and reciept notice.

i checked with them on i751 and n400, they tell me the same thing i see when i check my status.

im just worried and paranoid, they probabbly didn't send me anything but how can i 100% sure?

Maybe do an InfoPass for follow up? USCIS can be super weird. My AOS process took almost 3 years but my N400 took 3-4 months (start to finish) while I still have a pending I-90 filed at the same time.  Hang in there and be patient....but follow up. Sometimes the act of following up up can bring your file to attention.

sounds like a good idea but what should i say to make an appointment? my stamp didn't expire yet

hey did you submit your n400 online? if yes, your online account will show all letters/status they sent you...maybe check there is they sent you any correspondence? did you move since you submitted your apps? hope someone else with a divorce waiver can chime in here.

thanks for reply. yes i submitted n400 online and i check my status/documents and nothing is there except biometrics.

yes i moved once but i updated my address immediately.

i'm just worried why my case has never been transferred but everyone else's case did after they submit n400.

hope anyone has any input. thanks again

  14. hi everyone, hope we will all get some good news soon. i have to share something and if anyone can share thoughts, i would appreciate

i submitted my n400 in February 2021(florida) (13 months ago)

    I have a pending i751 since June 2020(potomac) (21 months ago)

almost everyone i follow gets their case transferred soon after filing n400. Even people months after me got their interviews but my n400 never moved since biometrics. and these people's local office is same as me.

online it is still in normal processing time but everyone else's case gets interview notice way before those dates.

i'm worried that maybe i miss an update or my case got lost or something. many people's case got approved in 7-9months (even those processing times are still long for them) but my case never got updated after biometrics.

anyone in similar situation? is it because my i751 is divorce waiver?

thank you if anyone can share thought

  16. hi everyone, my i751 was sent june 2020(20 months ago). then i sent n400 in january 2021(12 months ago)

I see that almost everyone's case gets transferred after they file n400 but i didn't get any notifications after biometrics. (for both applications) nothing online or in mail.

i'm worried that uscis didn't update my status or lost my case.

does my case have to be transferred in order to be approved? i'm sorry i could ask this in other topics but i'm just worried about this.

    i751 - potomac

    n400 - florida

    thank you.
