Hi everyone, i'm sure this is something everyone is upset about and I'm very frustrated with this.
I don't know how USCIS processes applications. I filed my i751(potomac) july 2020 and N400 January 2021.
I hear all the time that people who filed (same filing centers - i know each service center has different timeline) same time or even after my date receives updates/approvals.
I'm happy for them but I really don't understand what makes my application wait. My i751 is a waiver, is this the issue?
Is there ANYTHING that we can do to help this situation(no we are still in normal processing time) but i don't know why some people receive updates/interviews/approvals when others (when they send the same time or even earlier) still waits.
any thoughts? i am losing hope..

by local office, do you mean where i live? i live in florida. website says processing time is 11-17months.
my i751 starts with YSC so it is potomac.

hi everyone. my filing date(waiver) is july 2020. I see(and i'm happy) that many people filed at the same time or even after me received notifications for either interview or "file moved to another office"
i did not hear anything since biometrics in august 2020.
i also filed n400 in february 2021.
i see people getting updates and approvals even if they filed 1-2 months after me.
why is my application getting skipped? i'm just losing hope.

So yes you can apply for the n400 but the n400 can not be approved until the i751 waiver case is approved first.
You may get a combo interview at your local field office for both cases. You will need to be ready to prove that your marriage was entered into in good faith and then pass the naturalization test and show you have good moral character (tax paid, no legal issues).
If you get an n400 interview first with the i751 still pending without approval that will hold up your naturalization case.
thanks again.. i totally understand and know that n400 cant be approved without i751 but i think it is true for every n400 with i751 situation. i'm just waiting for interview for one of them or ideally both(combo)
i was just scared to hear someone says "you cannot apply n400 if your i751 is divorce waiver". i guess i was just scared for nothing. i hope so..

If you have had your green card for 5 years minus 90 days or more you can file an n400, even with a pending i751 waiver or not.
thank you for reply. that is what i thought too. here is my situation can you respond?
i had my conditional green card and applied for i751(without waiver) then my i751 got denied because of divorce. when my divorce was finalized, i submitted a new i751 with waiver and it is pending today.(i751 with divorce waver)
when i reach 5years after my first day of conditional residency(temporary green card) i submitted n400 and it is pending now too.
so in short, my first i751 got denied because of divorce then i filed second i751 with waiver. after 5 years of initial green card, i filed n400 while i751(divorce waiver) is pending.

I don't think you are eligible for n400. As you said your i751 is a waiver based you are not qualified for n400.
hi thanks for comment but what makes you say that? i applied for n400 based on 5 year rule.
if i751 is a waiver, does that mean you cannot apply for n400? i have never heard that.

i see that many many people got notification for " Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" but i didn't get it. anybody knows why mine would be different?
mine is a i751 with a waiver. i don't know if it plays any role. and yes i filed n400 11 months ago.
i would appreciate any thought

Hi Guido51,
I have not heard anything from USCIS either. Last update was on 12/14/21 stating that my case was transferred to another office.
Below is my timeline:
- July 23, 2020 We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence
- August 18, 2020 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, were taken
- August 26 , 2021 We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization
- December 14, 2021 Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction
Let us hope that we hear some good news within the next few months.
hi thanks for update and i really wish you hear good news soon. my dates are excatly same as yours however i did not hear anything since biometrics(August 2020) i filed my n400 back in january 2021.(8 months before your n400)
i really don't understand why my application doesn't move. i know nobody could know for sure but i really don't understand.

hi everyone, how are you tracking your cases? i only check online portal for my n400(i applied online)
and case status page.
i don't use any other system or app. do you recommend any other page other than https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
is this your only method too?
thank you

thanks for reply. yes biometrics reuse notice was the last notice i got for n400 and i751.
my main concern was i know many people received interview notices or approved when they applied at the same month or even after me. this is what i'm confused about.
