Hi To all VJ,
Last Oct 1, 2007 our petition has been approved , but unfortunately we have'nt received any mail Notification coming from the NVC.
what should be our next step?
Were you approved Oct 1st or Nov 1st?? If Oct, wow, that's a long time ago, I would call and find out where your petition is..

Hey Rodgiegirl,
Mine took 15 days from NOA2 until it was sent to NVC. Like you I got several touches but nothing was going on until it was sent on Nov. 6. I called NVC last night and they had just entered my case into their computer. So from CSC until NVC was 8 days. Hopefully yours will be shipped very soon. Good luck!
Thanks! I feel bummed though because I was "for sure" that mine got sent on the 6th, but oh well, what can I do?? I was still hoping that we would be together for Christmas. At least I have my approval, I'm thankful for that. One question though, I've already got all my forms to send him, do you think they're going to be "expired" or too far off since they haven't sent it to NVC yet? Well maybe not because My NOA2 is dated the 1st and if they look at the supporting evidence it's dated after that, so what do you think?

Okay you guys, the happiness from my approval is starting to wear off because I just called CSC and they said that I'm still in the staging area. I thought for sure since I recieved my approval on the 1st of November that I went with all of you on the 6th. Besides I got a touch on the 4, 5, and 6th, and nothing since then. WOW, I thought for sure I was on my way, do you think that they're telling me the truth. NOw I feel so bummed.......

Hey you guys!! Sorry I've been away, I needed a huge break from my lap top, after like three weeks of looking several times a day for our approval. Now we have it, and I feel okay with getting online again, maybe this time I won't obsess about dates and forwarding.....So what's new around here??

anyone gathering the documents needed for packet3 ahead of time??? kinda overwhelming all the forms that need to be filled out.
I had them downloaded, filled out and in an envelope addressed to the Embassy before the Consulate ever even received our case.
That's cool! But how do you get all the forms?? I tried that and the forms are almost all expired??? I don't know what I should do to prepare ahead of time???
-
Hey guys, I saw that you were talking about our petitions being "mailed" On the 6th. I think so, becuase my last touch was on the 6th and it wasn't from a call!! Yeah, I hope so!!!

Does anyone know when I should send out my info to Rodgers?? Like the 134 affidavit and supporting evidence??? I'm thinking that I'll send it now, but I don't know how long it will take for our case to get to NVC and then to the embassy....any ideas???
I don't know how quickly things work in Zambia but you want to make sure that the financial docs are dated as close to the interview as possible. And it doesn't look like there are a lot of VJers who went through Zambia; the only other one on here got the intervew date a few days after turning in packet 3.
It all really depends on how quickly the embassy works.
I would say go ahead and prepare the docs once you know your petition has left NVC (since the times have been kind of long) and hopefully you will get a quick interview date. If not, you could just update the financial docs and send them again if you need to.
Hope this helps
Thanks Zee, as always you're a big help!
well I just went ahead today and got all my bank stuff and a new "intent to marry" letter notarized. I think that the back log is taken care of. (hopeful thinking) Oh well, maybe I'll wait to send it until I know that my petition is at NVC. By the way I did check the Zambian embassy regarding fiance visa's, and it says that once they recieve the required info (I guess packet 3 or whatever)that they will schedule an interview within two weeks. Hope it goes quick!

Hey guys,
I tried that tracking thing too...looks like you can't do it without a customer account number. Oh well! Hey, I have a question...has anyone else noticed "touches" on their USCIS website after they were sent to NVC? I noticed I had one on Friday...I thought maybe it's because that's when they sent my petition to Romania. No touch yesterday, but there was one today...I wonder if that means it's arrived there? I heard it takes on average three days to reach the embassy by DHL. I'm going to call there tonight and see! I'm so excited!!
Anyway, we are all getting closer!
Musicgirl0912, I've gotten a touch this past Sunday (11/4) and our case was already sent out on 11/1. I also got a touch on 11/2, but that was due a call that same day. I'm not sure what's the 11/4 touch was about though.
I got a touch on 10/31, 11/1, and 11/4. When I called USCIS yesterday they had no clue as to why.
Hey guys!! It feels so good to be over here now!! I got a touch on the 4th, 5th and today...so maybe we're on our way out!! That would rock

The reports about getting the EAD stamp is that JFK seems to be the only airport POE that issues it anymore. You can ask at the POE, but it is unlikely it will be granted.
Okay, that's what I've heard, but I thought maybe somebody had first hand experience. But if Rodgers flys into JFK will they question why he flew into there instead of Seattle? Because on our I 129F application one of the questions is what airport will you fly into........so I'm wondering if he will be hassled and questioned???
There is no question on the I-129f relative to POE at time of arrival on K1 visa. Even if there was, I am highly skeptical that its something that would result in hassling or questioning buy immigrations officers. And if questioning did occur, the answer, "I want a temporary work permit" is a perfectly understandable response.
OH, well I remember answering a question about that, maybe it was on one of the other forms." "I want a temporary work permit" is a perfectly understandable response."Yeah your right. I'm starting to stress again over probably nothing. thanks
