  1. Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I posted, I trust everyone is doing great! We just got a notice for our interview for AOS, I'm wondering if this is the interview that will get us our green card, or if there is more interviews??? I'm not quite sure what is next. Can anyone tell me the process. Thanks!!!

Hopefully... A second AOS interview is typically referred to as a "Stokes" interview, and you do NOT want that...

    THanks, what's a "stokes" interview????

    One where they suspect FRAUD!!!

OOHHH!! LOL, that would not be good!! LOL, we won't have a problem with that. Do you know how long it typically takes to get the card, we want to travel back to Zambia, that's why I'm asking. Also, since we've not been married two years yet, does that mean he'll get a two year card, and then we have to renew? Thanks for all your help! :)

  5. Hey guys!! Can you believe it? My honey bun is coming in 2 days! I'm flying out to NYC to meet him. Anyone have any great places to see, other than the ordinary, while we're there? And does anyone know how long it usually takes going through immigration when flying into JFK? Thanks!!

  6. Yeah! I'm looking around my house and wondering.......where are we putting all his stuff?? Then I get in my car, and I see happy meal bags, and starbucks cups.............I can just hear him now,(lovingly of course) "girl, is this how you take care of your car???" Yeah, it's scary sometimes how he sounds just like my dad! But my dad is a great man, so that's a good thing!

I haven't started freakn yet, but I will soon! I'll probably do a mad dash like the day before I fly to NYC to meet him.

We'll have a few days to ourselves there, without all the family and crazyness of wedding planning. That will be so nice

  7. I enjoyed Hawaii, but I spent my first honeymoon there, so no can do. Ya'll are forgetting Puerto Rico. Very awesome island and US territory. Beautiful place to visit and I have (unofficial) family there. You know, the kind of family where there is no actual blood involved. The best kind.

Okay, so HI sounds really nice, but I'm seriously worried about us having problems with immigration, even though it's US soil. Has anyone gone on a K-1 and had problems getting back in?

  8. Hey that's funny, because I was going to post the same question today. Can we go go HI?? Really?? That would be awsome! I'm horrible at geography, so can someone tell me what other US Island there are? Has anyone ever traveled outside the continental US while on the K-1??

    Thanks

  9. Okay :crying: I've waited my whole life to meet and marry the man of my dreams and now it is finally happening. I feel like crying tears of joy! I just want to say that I have the best man in the world! I love my man with all my heart and he loves me, I never thought that I would find such a God fearing, loving and compassionate man, who loves me so deeply, and who is like the hands and feet of Jesus to me. We share the same dreams and desires in life, we have a deeply satisfying love, and commitment to each other. Ladies, don't settle for anything less that what God has for you! I've waited 7 years for Rodgers, and it was all worth it!

My man is amazing, I'm so in love! And to think.....we will be reunited again on the 11th, in just 19 days from now, I will hold him in my arms again, never to let him go. I have missed him so much, going through this process in many ways has killed both of us, only to find that we have life in oneanother. He is strong where I'm weak, he brings balance to my life. I love him dearly!

On the 11th of April, I will be a married woman! I will no longer have my father's name, I will be joined to my husband and we will be together for the rest of our lives. We will love and respect one another till death.

I feel like I'm dreaming! I'm so happy :crying:

I thank all of you, who have encouraged me through this process. God Bless You!

    Soon to be Mrs.

  10. Congratulations! Did he say what they asked him at the interview and what they looked at in terms of his documentation? Just curious. I'm on the other end of the process.

Okay so when he got there, the guy was asking for his documents. Rodgers started giving him everything, letters, emails, phone cards....you all that. And the man was like, "WOW, this is too much! you can keep that for your self." Then Rodgers was the last to be interviewed, the just asked "so where did you meet, where are you getting married, what is you fiance (me) going to do for a living," Just simple stuff like that.

Rodgers said it went so well, it was only 15 minutes!

Now we've saved the church for the 11th of April!! I'll be a married woman!! YEAH!!!

  11. Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us! Rodgers went for his interview and it went well. They just asked a few questions and then said, "okay come back on Teus. and pick up your visa!":dance:

So I've booked a flight for the 11th of March! WOW, after almost a year apart!!! We'll be together again!

    Thanks guys!

    Cassandrea
