    Good Morning Everyone.......TGIF...... :dance::dance::dance:

    I called NVC and listened to the automated system.....They have updated their system to say that they have received the checklist letter documents and it is under review......

    Still keeping my fingers crossed that something soon changes to case complete!

    I hope everyone has a Great Thanksgiving and I will catch up with everyone later!

    Good Afternoon All,

    Well, I was very happy this morning knowing that the NVC received my case.

    However, I called and talked to an operator and she gave me some dishearting news......

    She said that once the NVC receives it, it takes between 10-15 days to match the mail to the case.

    Once it is matched to the case, then it takes 2-4 weeks to review and if everything is complete and nothing is missing, then the interview will be scheduled.

    She said we may not even be able to get a January interview date. They will be scheduling January interview dates the 2nd week of December and she doubts if we will make that cut off either.

    Boy this really makes me wanna :crying: !!!!

    I feel the same way! I kindda realized that a January date wasn't a viable option for me at the end of last week. Look on the bright side at least you are further ahead than me! Your getting February for sure...me, I'm thinking March at this point...or should I say HOPING March! :lol::lol:

    Hang in Sweets...It's a coming!! Plus, it could go a lot quicker than she expressed. You never know what to expect from USCIS...that's the beauty or the ugly about them...depending upon your viewpoint :lol: !

    My heart goes out to you.......This process takes forever it seems like but it is coming to an end.....I hope things pick up speed on your end.....I talked to the lady again this morning......She said that they will continue to schedule interview dates for December until they reach their quota......I am keeping an open mind and continue to hope and pray that he will be home soon! The people that I have met on here has been a tremendous support group......and I count my blessing for everyone......Hats off to all!

    Good Morning All..... :dance:

    Well, NVC will receive our DS-230 Visa Application and all the necessary documents to finish processing our case today! :dance:

    Does anyone know approximately how long it takes for them to case complete and then how long it takes to get to the embassy?

    I was looking at some of the timelines and it looks like once NVC receives it, it takes approximately another month before the interview date. Can anyone help?

    I am like others here, getting impatient........but still holding out for the day to bring him home!

    I am sending Andrew's Visa Application back today via DHL.........I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will approve it and hopefully get a December interview date.......That would be wonderful to have him home for his first Christmas with my 14yo son and I.......

    I haven't started reading Jawi's story yet.........but can't wait to take the time to start reading it......

    From all the replies I have skimmed across, it is a terrific story.....

    As I was skimming across the pages, it caught my eye that a few of her characters were Toya and Fitz....

    Hi all...As you all know they are scheduling November interviews this week..I am just praying to GOD that my husband will be included in that batch.....I am so anxious ..... :whistle::blush:
    Hi Tonya, I overnighted everthing and it took a couple weeks, but not too long...If yours was not yet approved I would not plan on a November date because remember you still ahve to send in the DS230 part one and 2 with supporting docs and wait till they COMPLETE your case and then put you in line for a interview date...My case was just completed last week and I was told this morning I am not even in the October interviews so I will have to wait for October to see if I was scheduled for November interviews.... :crying:
    :whistle:I am trying to find anyone who can shed some light on the process with the NVC from the time that I get the 864 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT UNTIL THE ACTUAL SCHEDULING FOR THE VISA INTERVIEW?. :help: I am trying to make an estimate on how long it will take for my husband to be here. :help:

    Hello Milan......I sent in the I-864 and called today and NVC still says its under review.....By looking at your timeline.......Looks like it took a couple of weeks to review your I-864......is this correct.....just trying to estimate a homecoming date......Hopefully November!......Thanks!

    Thank you for the info.....l was just hoping for a November date due to airfares.....December airfare is just outrageous.....But anytime soon will be okay......Again...thanks!

    :dance: Hello All.....I talked to an operator at the NVC this morning and our IV payment was processed on October 5th......She stated that the DS-230 Application instructions will be mailed this week.......I am so happy!..... :jest: Now since the application will be mailed this week......is this the time that I should go ahead and send it to Drew in Jamaica.......the only things that he needs to send back with it is.....original birth certificate, original marriage certificate and police record.......He has never been married so no divorce documents.......Just trying to make sure that I get all my things in proper order.......

    My last exam is the 14th so I was planning on hopping on a flight on the 16th but Air JA never has good fares for Christmas/New Years travel. :angry:

    Has anyone ever flown Spirit?

    I hear more and more people are using that airline to go to JA. I need to check out their fares.

    I used it to go to MoBay in February...they were really very good. The flight left from LGA ONTIME...got to Fort Lauderdale ON TIME...left FLL...ON-TIME and arrived in MoBay...ON-TIME! I also had all my bags and the flight is one of the earliest to get into MoBay so the crowds aren't too bad. But, someone told me they get frazzled around Christmas time and have an issue wid luggage arriving with the passenger. Plus, getting out of MoBay was a breeze. When everyone else was piled up by the AJ counters...spirit counters in MoBay were empty.

    But, I tell you compared to AJ, I'm sorry to say, I will take my chances! I went down with them in June...can you say NIGHTMARE!!! First, we didn;t even use an AJ plane it was a charter North American plane...both going and coming back. Which left 1 and 1/2 late from JFK! They lost my son's suitcase...later found it in Miami and sent it down 2 days later! Then when it was time to go back. By the time we navigated deh HELL of a line to check-in, they were paging us to board the plane...oh and we got there 4 hours early. I would love to support my Country's Airline...but Customer Service is everything to me and AJ has ALOT to learn about Customer Service!!

    Anyway...that's just my 2 cents!

    True Kimmy, I think I had to pay $5-10 more for my second suitcase w/Spirit!

    But, lawd deh lass time mi fly 'Di Market Bus' (AJ). The flight attendant asked my 6 year old son..."Yuh waan pissa cyake" -Jus' so!! He said excuse me? She just repeated..."Yuh... waan... fi... nyam... pissa... cyake... or bun?" I swear I was looking around for the video camera...cause you couldn't tell me I wasn't in a 'Oliver' episode!! :blink: When I finally translated for my son (who understands patois- but hers was BAD!!!) He turned to the attendant and said "Ohh, pissa cyake puhlease" - My youngest one is so facety(but mi didda haffi laugh still) Dyam outta order ,ooman! :lol:

    Hey All........ :dance: I received the IV bill yesterday in the mail.....Going to send it back out today.....Hopefully we will receive instructions soon to send in the application itself.......Andrew is getting more excited as the time draws near........To get him home for Christmas would be the best thing!

    What happens after IV bill? and congrats :dance: that u received it.

    From everything I have read on here......after the IV bill is paid......NVC will send instructions on filling out the Visa application itself.....then time for his medical and interview.......WOOOOOHOOOOOO!

    I don't know if they still do medicals this way but when A did his it was almost like a group medical. A bunch of people had an "appointment" at the same time and they would do the first thing to each person, then the second thing, then the third...so they are always waiting for the docs to finish up with the first thing on everyone in the group before they move on to the next thing. It seems like the medical is alway an all day affair.

    yeah maybe thats what it is im just up here tryin to manage what they have to check wow. I would assume the shots, then the blood tests what else can they really check, a few oohs and ahhs and breath ins and breath outs tap ya knee and should be on ur way

    Delays receiving IV bill after generated?

    Hello everyone! NVC said it generated our IV bill on 9/17 however I still haven't received anything....On 9/20 automated system said it was touched (RFE)....missing documents or information.....I called and talked to an operator.....and the missing documents/information is the IV bill which I would love to receive and pay......just more waiting.....NVC told me this morning that if I don't receive it by 10/17 :crying: that they will be able to send out another one..........WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!.......but the journey is getting shorter and shorter.......Just want my husband here with me......

    Hey all......I listened to the automated system that our case was reviewed and is missing forms and is incomplete as of 9/20/07.....now the IV bill was generated on 9/17.......well I called back and talked to the operator and she said that the missing document was the IV bill......which I haven't even received in the mail yet.......But at least I know that we are moving right along! :thumbs:
