Thanks Tonya...funny thing is we didn't even make it to the beach. Girl I was in HEAT like crazy and didn't even get none on this trip. (told me I can't get none until I get better) I was very sick when I got to Jamaica. His friend took me directly to a party they were having then I had to leave shortly after that because my grandmother had a stroke the same day I got there. Girl it has been a roller coaster and now it's worse. Marcel mother had a stroke Sunday evening and he's in tears. He's mom's heart and it's really hard on him. He's the middle child and she has all boys and she will need full time care. The nurses were teaching him and his mothers how to bath his mother and his other brothers ran out of the room.

Girl, it's always something, but I'm praying. Good news is my sister and the baby is getting better and the baby is growing. My sis water broke at 5 months and they're trying to keep the baby in until week 23 to deliver him.

Girl.....I am so sorry to hear about Marcel's mother and your grandmother......Great news about sis and baby though........I will keep all of you in my prayers.......Hang in there Lawny........Hugs to you and Marcel.......

First I would like to say Hello! I have spent days reading in order to try to "meet" as many of you as possible You all are such nice group and I think it is wonderful how everyone is so helpful...Lord knows I am overwelmed and I considered myself pretty smart to start with I dont know if its because I started this with a "ill never get this attitude" or what but Im sure u will get sick of me reallll soon...Im not sure which one of u it was but I do want to thank the person who welcomed me to the board...It was my first official welcome and I guess I erased it cause I cant find it and I dont remember exactly who it was (I think it was Trewlany but correct me if Im wrong) Anyway the knowledge u all have Im sure will be helpful and thank u in advance...Ok my first question...lol where do I start? I think the K-1 fiance visa is goin to be our route (he would rather we get married now but I told him I thought it was easier to do this rather thn K-3) please correct me if Im wrong...but what does he need to have already before I even send in the application? He never got a birth certificate so does he have to have that in hand before the start? should he also already have a passport? Well group Im goin to apologize now cause I know Im goin to get worse with the thousands of questions...but I have faith between u all and prayers it will all work out...off topic but I get to see my honey friday only for a long weekend but any time is better than none...so Ill be in good spirits for this week now next...lol not so sure

The only thing I have to say about the buying food information is that Andre liked it so much better that he got to go with me to the international store and farmer's market to pick out exactly what he liked and wanted to cook. He familiarized himself with what we had to offer and how to get there to get it.

Speaking of foods.....any of you heard of some mommy (not sure of spelling) tree or bush? Andre said it's like cantelope only green inside. Would this be our honeydew? Or something else? Sometimes he is so vague about things, I have hard time wrapping my mind around it. He said the only time he ever had it was in country. Can we get this here?

What is it with Airpak........I have been trying to call since 9am this morning.......both numbers that I have for the local office I need........still ringing busy.....busy.....busy.......I have done more personal work today than anything......I have only rented two cars in a 8 hr shift........ ......I hate slow days.......

Anyone have any good ideas (even if small) as to what I can do to welcome Marla home? Me and my son (8yr old - whom she has never met) will be going to pick her up at the airport and then we are going to Red Lobster (she has always heard about it and wants to eat there - she loves shrimp) and then home. I planned on having some roses there for her. Any other great ideas?

Ah.....Red Lobster. Hubby loved it the first time we went. Hated it the second and now refuses to go anymore.

How about some pampering items? My husband had no opportunites to take a bath in JA. He loved his first bath with bubbles, a bath bomb, lotion, a glass of wine and some music in the bathroom. He still does this on a fairly regular basis.

We also took the long way home from the airport so he could get a short look at the city on the way home.

I'm glad you mentioned that....b/c I just bought a new house and it has this big garden tub w/ jacuzzi. I will some candles, music, bubbles, and flowers in there.

Sounds L-O-V-E-L-Y!!! Maybe write her little notes on how happy you are to be together finally! Ken did that for me and it was sweet...he put one in my wallet, one in my make-up bag, one under my pillow....about 10 notes in all. Each note had a different reason or thing for why he loved & appreciated me, or what he wanted to do for us as a family. It was sweet. I don't know when he did it...but I was still finding notes up til a week ago.

Whatever you decide to do...JUST ENJOY EACH OTHER!!!

We were one of the quickest interviews this morning......we were completed by 10:00-10:30........appt was at 9.......

Now we have finally had some lunch....and are going to celebrate since it is my last day here.....Then hopefully we will get him HOME soon!

Good Morning All,

I bought my plane ticket yesterday to MoBay.......Roundtrip from Charleston, WV to MBJ was $431.00 that's including taxes and fees......Which is a good price to fly into here......

Our interview is next Tuesday at 9am........I am flying in on Sunday and returning on Wednesday, 4/16......

Andrew is getting very emotional right now.......As the time is getting closer, he is telling more of his friends that he will be leaving soon.......And he is realizing that he is beginning to start a new life here with me and my son.......His friends are extremely happy for him but at the same time really hates to see him leave......

My prayers go out to each and every one of you......God is good!........

I don't talk alot in here......but 3 years ago my 18 yo son was killed in a car wreck.......He was my first born........We have been in the court system over this wreck for the last 2 years......One of our cases was ruled against by the circuit judge.......We have asked the Supreme Court of WV to hear our case......They voted 3-2 to put it on the calendar......Last week, we went before the Supreme Court and they voted 4-1 to hear our case........I was up at 1am on Tuesday morning last week, praying to the Good Lord.........It is not a easy task to get a case heard in front of our Supreme Court......On Thursday morning, I got the call.......4-1 to hear our case!.........GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

I just can't believe that we are here...I've cried...worried...screamed and agonized over this day and it is finally here! (I hope it's not anti-climatic! ) We start our physical journey together as a power couple tonight...however our powerful love and spiritual togetherness has been there from day one!

I want to take a moment to tell all of you how grateful I am for your support and acts of kindness over the last nine months! Whether it's our seasoned Elders that helped me every step of the way or our welcomed new additions that have sent up their prayers upon our behalf! I feel truly blessed and humbled to be around such inspiring women everyday!

A GUESS MI 6TH IT...

Kimmy u mad...always a mek mi laugh. I'm sorry, but of all the places in my house that has to be clean it's my bathroom and let me tell ya'll, when I was dating back in the day, if I go to the guys house and his bathroom is nasty guess WHAT...im naw touch dis yah glory. Oh, hell no. And my grandmother would always tell me to check out his bedsheets to see how clean they are. I can't stand a NASTY unkempt man. Like some men think it's okay to use their woman's toothbrush...I will kick your A$$ and don't use my TOWEL.

Since we on the subject, kitchens. Some men (not all) like to cook, but refuse to clean the kitchen. When I cook and clean the kitchen at the same time. And if you're going to clean the kitchen sweep the damn floor or wipe it if it needs to be wiped. The floor is party of the kitchen and it needs to be clean too.

Next thing...you have got to separate your laundry. Don't put the entire basket of clothing into the machine OMG plus towels and bedsheets the machine will be unbalanced when it spin and the clothes won't was good. I mean u use to wash it by hand so wah you a complain fah now.

Andrew finished his medical and all is well.......Had all shots yesterday at a clinic near him in St. Catherine and they gave him everything he needed......

However, he said that he met several individuals who had appointments on the 15th of April as well......A lady with her son.....husband here in States filing for them.......he said alot of kids that parents were filing for.......

I haven't been on here much lately.....getting ready for the interview next week but wanted u all to know Dave did have his medical on 3/18 as planned. I PM'ed some of u about him still needing a couple of the immunizations for the interview and it seems like it worked itself out. (THANKS to JG, Gill and JaLove for the info.)

A lot of places are closed down in JA today and monday cause of the holidays but I spoke with the NVC and the R.N. at Andrews memorial who said Dave can just take the "proof" that he got the shots straight to the Interview and we should be fine.

Thanks for all your advice and words of encouragement. I still got about 30 pages of posts to read before i can catch up on what u all been talking about these last few days ( LOL) but i'll keep everyone posted about my case.

Hey Tonya,

My cousin had to pay $200 U.S. Some of the shots he didn't need, but the nurse told him hit would have been a lot expensive if he had gotten it at a clinic before he came for the medical. Does your hubby have any of his shot records or immunization card?

No he doesn't have any records.......I know that he had to have some shots to attend school......so hopefully he will just need a couple.....he is going to Dr. Banbury

Andrew went and had shots yesterday. I don't know where exactly he went but a friend of his who was denied because of ganga told him it would be cheaper this way. He took a oral dose and 3 other shots. The nurse told him that he would need to follow up in the US. It cost him $120 US and his medical today at Dr. Banbury should be $80-85US.

My cousin had to pay $200 U.S. Some of the shots he didn't need, but the nurse told him hit would have been a lot expensive if he had gotten it at a clinic before he came for the medical. Does your hubby have any of his shot records or immunization card?

No he doesn't have any records.......I know that he had to have some shots to attend school......so hopefully he will just need a couple.....he is going to Dr. Banbury

I saw MADUSA at a dance in Portmore and mi nearli dead. Hey All...

I haven't been on here much lately.....getting ready for the interview next week but wanted u all to know Dave did have his medical on 3/18 as planned. I PM'ed some of u about him still needing a couple of the immunizations for the interview and it seems like it worked itself out. (THANKS to JG, Gill and JaLove for the info.)

A lot of places are closed down in JA today and monday cause of the holidays but I spoke with the NVC and the R.N. at Andrews memorial who said Dave can just take the "proof" that he got the shots straight to the Interview and we should be fine.

Thanks for all your advice and words of encouragement. I still got about 30 pages of posts to read before i can catch up on what u all been talking about these last few days ( LOL) but i'll keep everyone posted about my case.
