  1. Please obtain a copy of the United states constitution, it should be on page 420. If you still can't figure it out, please Google " who is my congressman"
  2. they took 16 months for mine. Applied in Feb 2020, approved in June 2021.
  3. My current attorney is useless. I am about to hire another one.
  4. Ah, yes! I forgot about the privacy issues. I think I will go through senator for inquiry on C9 renewal, rather than writing to VSC. This way at least they will be forced to respond in time. Thank you very much.
  5. Hi all, My C9 EAD and AP renewal is pending since I filed in February 2021. The initial C9 expired in June 2021. I have C31 EAD since nov 2021. I submitted an out of normal processing time inquiry online for the C9 EAD renewal petition last week and this is what I saw on the USCIS egov case status website yesterday: 07/05/2022 On July 5, 2022, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXXXXXXVSC, was completed. 07/05/2022 On July 5, 2022, we sent a response to your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXXXXXXVSC. 07/05/2022 On July 5, 2022, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXXXXXXVSC, was assigned to an officer for response. Does anyone know what this means? Of course my lawyer and I have not received any communication from USCIS. I am hoping to get my C9 EAD/AP combo before the C31 expires in November this year. In other news I also submitted an out of normal processing time inquiry through my local senator for my I485 this week.
  6. Me three. I360 approved in November 2021. Senator confirmed I485 case transferred to St. Louis field office prior to March 2022. No medical deficiency notice / RFE. They don't notify when case is transferred from NBC to field office.
  7. Inquire through your congressperson or senator. Otherwise no way to know when its transferred to NBC / field office until you get interview notice / medicals RFE.
  8. H1B and VAWA are two separate tracks. If you choose to go through consular processing for h1b , your vawa processing will remain unaffected regardless of the approval or denial of the h1b. So no worries there. My best wishes.
  9. I was in the same boat in 2021. I filed VAWA in Nov 2019, my lawful status through h1b expired in may 2020. So you are not accruing unlawful status until you have a pending I485, but you are "out of status" since you are not on a valid visa since the h1b / OPT expired. I know this is confusing but US immigration law was intentionally designed to be confusing. You cannot extend your h1b from within the country if you file for h1b AFTER you become out of status. You can go through H1B consular processing which means leaving the US and applying through a consulate in another country, preferably your country of citizenship. Obviously its a hassle, its expensive and time consuming. And there is a risk of getting stuck outside the US. You can live and work in the US with your C9 EAD and travel with advance parole. Going the h1b route doesn't make much sense at this time. Just my two and a half cents.
  10. You are doing great tracking the components in the forum. Best case scenario I have seen from vawa approval to green card in hand timeline is 4-5 months. Average is 9-12 months. Some take much longer than average.
  11. My timeline is below (its always posted in signature section): I think it shows up only if you are using the desktop version of the website, not on mobile / phone version. Anyway, my I485 case was transferred to NBC on September 30, 2020, and my VAWA I360 was approved in November 2021. Complete Timeline: Divorced US citizen spouse in December 2017. Filed I-360 on Nov 12, 2019 Filed I485/ C31 EAD / AP in Feb 2020 (Stupid lawyer filed C31 instead of C9, and I didnt know EAD codes, didnt know about this VJ forum either) On H1b status since 2014, H1b 6 years expired in May 2020. Out of status / Period of authorized stay since then. Amended EAD petition to C9 and filed expedite request for same in mid-may 2020. C9 EAD approved June 4, 2020. Biometrics done in Oct 2020. I485 case transferred to NBC for "faster processing" on September 30, 2020 Filed C9 EAD / AP Renewal petition in February 2021. (still pending) Initial Advance Parole (from Feb 2020 application) approved in June 2021. C31 EAD production update - Nov 1st, 2021. C31 card delivered to attorney's office on Nov 8, 2021. I-360 case approved status update - Nov 22, 2021. No RFE throughout. Currently waiting for I485 processing / I693 deficiency notice / Medicals RFE / interview scheduling as applicable. Senator's office confirmed via congressional inquiry that the St. Louis office has received the I485 file and is currently awaiting interview scheduling - March 7, 2022
  12. Yes, my I485 file was transferred to NBC long before my I360 approval, see details in my signature section below. Same with some other forum members too. But you should definitely inquire as @Rhema1 said, sometimes VAWA approval update is not posted online. Do not trust USCIS to do its job.
