Thank you! Yes most of the questions were about my overstayed lol took more than an hour because the consul seems like had to ask the other consuls regarding about my situation as I was just looking at them by the window praying it will be positive result. He had to hold me many times to check something in and out of his cubicle 🤷🏻♀️ But then my heart started to beat again when he finally said my passport will deliver with the visa in 2-3wks. ❤️😍 and upon checking my ceac status says issued, 3 hrs after my interview!
Hahahaha!
Congratulations once again!
I will drop my medicals on Wednesday. I hope they will keep not asking me about my overstay.
Have a nice flight already😂😂😂
Take care.

Wow! That’s so great to know. Congrats 😊 I’m happy to see the result.. may I know how long did you overstayed before? And when did you left usa?
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
I started overstaying in August 2016, and I left on September 2018.
Before I left, I got married in November 2017, but we didn't file any papers.
Marriage by itself doesn't make you legal. You have to file the paperwork to USCIS in order to be legal, which we didn't do.
My overstaying lasted about 2 years.

Hi! How was your interview?
It went very good.
They didn't ask me nothing about the overstay even though I mentioned it on DS260. Nor they asked me about my marriage.
Literally I felt like I went there just to drop off the documents.
But my visa is pending because my medical results haven't come out yet.
My passport stayed at the embassy and the visa will be issued as soon as they received my medicals.
Keep calm, everything is going to be alright.

Hello guys,
I have my I-130 interview overseas coming next week.
There's a Presidential Proclamation that ask those who are getting immigrant visa must have a proof of US health insurance to show during the interview.
Does anyone knows how can I get a health insurance?
If you have gone through this, please help me.
Which one did get?

Just received my interview schedule. Will be on the 25th! Let’s pray and hope for the best ☺️🙏🏻
Wow! Awesome!
Everything is going to be alright in Jesus name!
Don't forget to schedule your medicals as quickly as possible.
Sometimes it take more than 15 days for the medical results to come in.

Haha. No problem with laughing. I was uncomfortable at first. Just keep a professional mindset and it's all good.

I've had that test done before, so I feel your pain!
Hahaha!
Oh man!...I feel your pain too
I'm sorry for laughing
It's funny now that think of it when the doctor told me to take my thing out, I thought first that I misunderstood him

No problem at all. Sorry they weren't upfront with you about it beforehand.
Yes! That's what upset me the most.
But at the same time, I think is better because I would be scarred before the tests.

My wife was tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia during her medical exam, along with the other things medical does, like vaccines and regular check up. It's all part of the CDC guidance.
I was just chocked because it's the first time that I see that kind of test.
But thanks a lot for your information.

Depending on the STD. Some are tested drawing blood, taking urine samples, and some are with a swab. It all depends. For instance, for HIV they draw blood.
Understandable.
Thank you!

Did you ask what he was doing and why?
I was so chocked that I even forgot to ask what's that for?

Most likely it was to check for STD. Usually doctors do a swabbing test for STDs such as chlamydia.
Can't they test for STDs if they just analyze my blood and my urine?

Hi everyone! I overstayed my j1 visa for 10 months because I was pregnant and had to born my baby in USA. I went home to my country voluntarily, 3.8 years already. Now I’m in process of CR1 visa will have my interview probably next month. My question is do u guys think I still need a waiver? 212 or 601? Or do u think I will be AP for a long time? I’m very anxious. Thank you! 🙂
I have a similar issue. But I was in student visa (F1). My legal status was terminated due to low GPA.
And I have been 2 years and 4 months outside of the United States.
I have CR1 Visa interview in January 20th, 2021.
Some people say the ban doesn't activate for a student even if he is out of status.
I'll let you know how it went.

I went for my I-130 overseas medical exam yesterday, and in one of the exams the doctor put something like a cotton saw inside my (removed). Yes, you read it right.
That was so painfull and everytime I would pee yesterday, it hurt a lot.
I felt like I was violated and I was sad all day.
As anyone gone through the same? What is that for?

designguy. Thank you for clarification and for providing a clue for what to do next. Just to rectify that in our constitution after three years together u are official considered married. That is why I wrote PS because I am not full aware how things work in the states.
I'm from Angola and I've never heard of the rule in our constitution.
Do you still needing help? I might be able to help. My family also lives in Dallas, TX. -

A student visa or a tourist visa can not be the basis for their adjustment of status.
They adjust after they get married, and others get asylum.

That sounds odd, here in the states one is able to get a duplicate copy of their birth certificate.
But I saw the note about the decades long civil war impacting Conservatórias (registry offices) ability to keep records.
I wonder if there is anybody else from Angola that may be able to shed some light on this subject.
Almost everyone that a I know from Angola who are in the US, went there as student or tourist and then adjusted their status.
I was able to get a certified copy of my birth certificate (handwritten in some parts). But because it's a copy from the original old model, it has different characteristics from the new one (computerized one).
And the Birth Certificate that NVC wants and is describing, is the new one (computerized one).
But I'm not able to get the new model because it's only available for those who were born above 2011.
Therefore, I'm stuck with the older model, even if I ask for a new Birth Certificate, it will just be a certified copy of the of the old model one.

Start here to make sure you are submitting the proper document. Also to be helpful it you indicated what country was involved here.
Thank you
I found out what is wrong with it.
They want a new model of the Birth Certificate that my country (Angola) is issuing. But those new models are only available for people who were born from 2011 and above.
I'll have to resubmit the same one that they rejected and explain it to them.
There's no way I can get the new model because they would have to cheat the system.
Yes, my country is Angola, Africa.
Thank you.

NVC rejected my Birth Certificate, but didn't give me any explanation.
The front of my birth certificate is colored, but the back is black and white. I received it like this from the authorities.
Do you guys think the "black and white" part is the problem? -

NVC and OVERSTAY
in National Visa Center (Dept of State)

Good Morning Sharla.
No. I didn’t need a waiver.
I checked “YES” and I explained the reason of my overstaying.
But even in the interview they didn’t ask me nothing about that.
It’s just better to tell the truth. Because if you lie and they find out, they will dent your visa and perhaps be banned from entering in the USA.
