    I just got the NOA2!!!!!!!!!

    After 4 months we receive it, so I do believe that soon most of you - that are still waiting - will have it on your hands!

    Do I Need To Fast.

    This is one of the things I dislike so much about Islam, this splitting hairs nonsense. IMHO if you're in a situation where fasting is a hardship, then don't fast. Either make it up later or donate to charity instead.

    I was reading how some sheikh said just brushing your teeth during the fasting time invalidates your fast. You've got to be fscking kidding me. LIGHTEN UP! Is God really going to send you to hell for something like that? Sheesh!

    While I'm on it, the fasting start time is completely arbitrary. I found a calculation that said it was at 0523 this morning, I found another that said 0502. Guess which one I gave my MIL. Again IMHO one should get up, eat & drink what they want, then say "I intend to fast today" and start their stopwatch. 12 hours later, break fast. That way you don't have a really short one in winter and a really long one in summer, or you don't cheat and fly to Sweden in the winter and New Zealand in the summer (winter there).

    I just want to add on this one, Islam is clear and simple. Muslims are the ones who are trying to make it hard. So just like the prophet Mohammad (SAW) said at his last prigmage (Hijja Alwadaa). If for some reason you have differences, please go back to Quran and his sunnah. That's all folks. You don't have to dislike Islam for any difference or issue that you don't like.

    Hello May filers, I just could not handle the torture any longer so this morning I decided to call USCIS using the RFE trick. A nice Hispanic lady took my call and she immediately requested for my receipt # and asked what type of application I had submitted. Then she confirmed my name and home address. To my surprise, she said the magic word...... “approval notice was sent on September 4th 2007”. I quickly asked her what date the petition was approved and she replied August 31st. So my 08/31st touch resulted in NOA-2. USCIS website still says our case is still in “received and pending” status. We did not receive any email notification too. Thank God this part of the journey is behind us. What an angonishing painful wait! I would advice other filers that have been waiting (at least 120 days) and did experience a touch to call USCIS to check perhaps their petition has already been approved. For those that are still waiting, hold tight your good news is on the way. Oh yes....This is going to be a good weekend. Cheers!!! :dance::dance::dance:

    BTW, VJ projected NOA-2 date was 09/22/07

    My husband called me at 6 am this morning to tell me that our visa was approved. He was told to leave his passport, was given a receipt and told to come tomorrow at 3 pm to pick up his visa.

    He said that he had the young blond lady. She was kind of nice he said. She did not ask to see much of our evidence. My husband had over 800 pages of chat transcripts and an album of pics. She asked about my children and my ex husband and about our trips to Morocco. She looked at a few of the pictures and told him congratulations and to come back tomorrow to pick up the visa.

    I was prepared for the 221g, so we are elated that we will not have to wait any longer. Yaaaaaaaay!

    Hello! I got approved this morning. Got there early - 7:30 am and was finished well before lunch. Thanks to all for your advice. Should get the visa by Friday.

    What type of visa did you get approved on? My fiancée will be interviewed in Johannesburg, SA. How is the interviewer? Are they good people? Please give me some advise about getting interviewed at Johannesburg, SA counselor.
