  1. Hi, my friend lived in California before he moved to TX because of his job in Jan 2007. Now he is going to file the K1 application for his girlfriend. Should he mail all the documents to the California Center or the Vermont Center? Thank you for your relpy.

    Send it to CSC.

But the instrustion on the I-129F form said, if you live in TX, you send to the Vermont Center, why should send to CSC? Thank you.

Sorry, I thought people who live in TX can send their petition to CSC, that's how was done previous, but it has been changed. According to USCIS website, you can send it to VSC. Make sure first to other people who are from TX.

  2. Well, after more than four long, arduous months of waiting, I received this message today from USCIS:

    "Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On October 11, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service."

I feel as if a 10-ton stone has been lifted off of my body!! This is so awesome!!! Thanks to all for the support through this process, and I wish all of those that have yet to be approved a speedy approval and completion of this process!

  6. I to called again today..but I got a sweet lady. I just told the truth. I said I have no RFE...but Im concerned and was hoping you could help me. I said once again they used to turn around petitions so fast...was wondering what was going on and that I filed mid June. She asked me to hold while she got some information. She said they are STILL working on petitions from the week of May 21!! I said wow...you guys are at a stand still..but I knew someone that filed AFTER me in June and got their noa2. She didn't have a direct response. I mentioned my medical issues and that we really were worried cause we have to go through Egypt Embassy which is soo slow...and added to our wait time here..its making it very hard. She told me to go to my doctor, get a written letter how my health is (Im having heart issues or sth...doctor says Im heading for a massive heart attack/stroke..and early congestive heart failure, reduction of stress is KEY to my survival...HIS words) and to send a letter with HIS letter to them asking to expidite our petition....well I said at this point would that even help? She said yes. So off to the doctor to try to see what I can do. I take care of my elderly parents, one with Alzheimers and legally blind, other with dementia as well. I work 7 nights a week, and have no health insurance...I deal with numerous issues health wise...and while I hate the idea of sending this letter...I need him here...for my healths sake. Once hes' here and can work...and help my stress levels will come down thus helping to minimize my chances of heart attack or stroke and keep the congestive heart failure under control. Not to air my laundry.....but need to vent...I have no help here...no one else to take things to....you guys are it. I am to caged in to get out....and its taking its toll...

Anyways....just wanted to let u know they haven't gotten any further in the last 2 weeks since i called..........

I just called and the lady told me that they are working on I-129F petitions dated MARCH 19th. Goes to show that they dont know what the hell they are talking about. So I told her that is outside of the 6 month window, and if they are outside of the window why are they not reporting that on the website like they are supposed to. She said she doesnt know, suprise suprise. I also told her that I have a friend who has paperwork at Vermont as well and that he called today and someone told him they were working on petitions from May 21st and asked why her info is different than the other reps. She didnt know that either.

  7. I'M APPROVED!!!!!! FINALLY!!

After all my sh*t talkin they finally did it! It's funny I didnt check USCIS today like I normally do and I called my SO and told him I hadnt heard anything and then i decided to check and there it was APPROVED!! Thank god.

This is our week folks, keep your heads up!!!

    shall we dance? :dance::dance::dance::dancing::dancing:

Congratulations Hope the speedy journey afterwards.

  8. NANA PICKED UP HIS VISA FEW HOURS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SOOO HAPPY I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF. to be honest, i was worried because ghana has a history of telling people that the visa is not ready due to "broken machines" etc. well not this time! ahhhh, it feels so good! anyhow, we are trying to figure out what day he will come, which should be the weekend or monday....i mean, why wait any longer????? :innocent:

interestingly enough, on the bus to accra (nana lives in kumasi which is 5 hours away), the bus broke down, and nana ended up taking a taxi for 3 hours!!!! it was crazy but he made it and he has his visa!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! i will let you all know when he arrives.

thankssssssss to everyone for the continuous support and kind words.

    Congratulations
