Wow. Finally you have a wonderful news. Congratulations and best wishes to your new life together.

Congratulations!
Actually, she is getting there. The only thing that she mentioned was why there is no green leaves on the trees. Our first day out was hot and she jokingly told me that it was very cold out here. That's what I told her when I was in Africa.
-
That is great news!! May you have a long and happy life together.
Hi Zee, can you update the table?

My fiancée visa was approved on Feb 15 2008. We flew back here in Washington DC Feb 17. We are finally together. Thanks God and all VJers who took their valuabale time to answer our questions.

Congratulations. I wish you all the best and your hubby. It's about that time they acknowledge your marriage.

Is there anybody who has been scheduled an interview on February 08 at Johannesburg Consulate? I would like to know how you guys are preparing for that big day. I would like to attend the Interview with my fiancée. I want to know about the good and safer hotels in Johannesburg area. Please give me some advices.
Congrates....our paper just left NVC on the way to Johannesburg, we are right behind you....Do you have to stay or can you fly in and out the same day
Terry
Congratulations, you are almost there. I will be there until my fiancée get the visa in hand. Good luck to you.

I know that you contacted me via PM, but when I try to respond, it says that you are not receiving messages via the board. Thank you very much for your message. I am looking forward to hearing about your experience at Johannesburg Consulate on February 14. My fiance's interview is February 19, so that will be a great help to know how yours was handled. He already had his interview, and it took a week to get the blood work back from the doctor, so I'm glad to hear that your doctor has promised it sooner.
Hope all goes well!
I will let you know whenever I get done with my interview. I asked the doctor's receptionist two times about the time frame of blood work to be ready for the interview. She insisted that yes it is OK. She even told me that there is one person who did her medicals on Monday and everything was ready for her following Wednesday interview. I will see how that will work.

They might - but it definitely wouldn't be "routine"; probably only in the event of hardcore investigation.
Thanks all of you who took your precious time to answer my question.

I don't see the consulate doing that. But then again I could be totally wrong. If I am not mistaken the Ds230 is biographical info. The only way I can see them verifying some of these things is if they do a field investigation.
But, why would that be an issue? You either attended or not.
Thanks Zee for clarification. My friend's fiancé attended school in Congo, and that school was torn up by the war, and there is no way he can be verified by the school offcials. The school was re-opened, but all the documents are not available.
-
Does the Consulate call the beneficiary's school to verify if he really attended the school that was mentioned on the DS-230 form?

Oh, you're interview is on Valentine's Day.....how sweet! Good Luck!
Yes it is on Valentine's Day. Thanks for wishing us good luck.

I will be watching it on Telesud.com. I will just connect my PC to my TV and there I should be able to watch it in the big screen. Bum.

Congratulations and best wishes to your new life together with you SO.

You may want to try sending a PM to amper or mishka b. They both recently had their interviews in Johannesburg I believe.
Congratulations on your interview date!!
Thanks Zee, I haven't gotten the interview date yet, but I was promised by my caseworker that whatever happens, he will get me a February Interview. I will try to PM amper or mishka as you have suggested. I will PM you too whenever I get that date for the interview so that you can add it in the Keep Tracking ...

Howdy Everyone. Once again today, I thought I was going blind. Like last night's touch that led me to question my eyesight, the email this morning again made me do the same. My approval came in. Finally. Finally. Finally.
I am hoping, wishing and praying that this is a trend for us long waiters and that this step will be complete for all of us very, very soon.
I am off to work now where I cannot write to the forums but I am hoping for all of you.
Ciao!!!
Congratulations!!!

Hey guys! I found out that last Teusday NVC sent our approved petition to embassy in Zambia, YEAH!! Just wondering if any of you know how long it ususally takes to get to the embassy's in Africa? The only Vj'ers that went through Zambia have not been around for a while, at least I think they haven't . Can anyone help? Thanks
If you want to find out whether the US Embassy in Zambia received your case or not, you need to call the Embassy or go to the DHL website and search the packages using the reference number from NVC.
This what I did, I called the NVC and they told today that the case has been sent to Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday. I went to DHL website and I track the package by reference as follows: "EXP 29 NOV 2007A" and press "Track" button, they gave three full web pages that have all information that I needed. I click on the package that going to South Africa. I called the Consulate in South Africa, and they told me that the package is there.
