@alex01 what is the situation of the main sponsor? Are they in the US or in the home country? Have they ever worked in the US?
And did the JOINT SPONSOR complete I-864 or I-864a?
Main sponsor living in the US. Co sponsor residing in the US. The Joint sponsor completed I 864 and his income way above the poverty line,. They got rejection under 212 a 4 saying he and his family Will likely to become public charge.

Op, has the co-sponsor sponsored others in the past?
No . First one . I guess they need more than affidavit of support , like job offer or the immigrant a.

Is this the same family you posted about previously, with a petitioner who doesn't work and hasn't filed taxes?
Is this also the same petitioner who struggled to prove domicile?
Thanks for the reminiscent that one went fine , but this is different case

Why would you think simply to get some co-sponsor with $150K to sign a paper would magically make a family of 4 eligible? An income requirement is just one tiny piece of the requirement. In fact, that info alone is so meaningless. Many people with incomes of $150K are deep in debt with no significant disposable income. You have not said anything about this sponsor except his income.
You have not even said anything about this family 4, their ages, occupation, health, and so forth. No one in the world is going to believe that this co-sponsor is going to suddenly support a family of 4, paying $2K+/month for their health insurance, plus living, food, clothing, transportation, etc etc for more than a very short time, at very best. The consulate isn't stupid, its probably obvious they will soon become a public charge, or they have a complete lack of information to determine so. Or perhaps other relatives came to the usa and became a public charge, etc..

Seems egregious, but perhaps there are details with respect to the beneficiaries or the household of the sponsor that the CO considered.
https://fam.state.gov/FAM/09FAM/09FAM030208.html has a detailed discussion of current public charge considerations. Review those and see if any applied to any of the beneficiaries.
They really make it complicated. I guess co-sponsor is not enough to bypass the public charge .

150k of W-2 income for 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020?
True all of that and still hit with a public charge

The consulate officer has the final say, and they do not always simply rely on the HHS poverty guideline. There is much unknown here, how big are the primary sponsor’s and co-sponsor’s households, where are they planning on living, etc. are factors a CO may ponder.
His co-sponsor makes over 150 k per year. Way over what is required

4 including him.

Hello folks,
My cousin and his family got his immigrant visa refused under public charge. Even though , he submitted taxes from his sponsor and affidavit of support. His sponsor income was sufficient enough. The refusal sheet said visa declined for public charge reason. The question what kind of options he has inorder to overcome his refusal or it is final.

What exactly does the letter say about how to reschedule interviews?
You should be able to create/log into your account and change the interview date.
(Don't create a new interview date, just reschedule the existing one online.)
(Don't know what country you are from or will interview in..so..can't be more specific.)
I logged and created accounted . I have chosen a date. The only thing it didnt show the appointment date from nvc. Just option chose a date . They sent me a confirmation email
