    Thanks for that analysis @MGMA

I am hopeful that the increased speed is a sign of things going back to pre covid processing times. It would be awesome to declare independence from USCIS by July 4th.

That's the form I submitted yesterday with no problem whatsoever.

I just did a little research and seems like there's a 90-day policy to establish new legal "residency" at the new state. Considering the time needed to transfer the case to the new state, I don't think it worth it to move just to expedite the process.

Last June, after l passed my interview, the IO asked me if l wanted to take the oath immediately. So, l think you can say "no" and they will schedule your oath ceremony for a later date.

FINALLY!!! My status has changed to “interview scheduled”! No document displayed yet. It must have only changed in the last 20 minutes as I have been checking constantly all day. I imagine I will have the appointment letter on the online portal tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up! I was hoping to hear something today - my birthday - but no change on my online status checker. Hopefully Monday is my day!

@JFH you are coming up very soon. There is a reported 09/30 interview in the spreadsheet

If I remember right, there have to be a judge for the oath to be able to change name, or some kind of an authorized officer. I recommend you ask the officer and check possibilities. Please, let us know as I am also changing name and wishing that this will be possible.

Completion date on USCIS account has absolutely no meaning (at least right now). They do not update that to project accurately. Keep following trend from other applicants. That is more relevant and useful for getting some sense on timelines. Once you cross-over completion timeline it will keep saying that there is nothing pending for you but we are taking longer time than usual for processing. That's about it

They started using previous biometrics. look at the documents tab and see if they sent you a letter that they will reuse your biometrics. Maybe this is why it jumped back as they now have your biometric, however the estimation is not realistic. I applied Jan 2020 and estimation still the same May 2021, 5 month from now. I wish you luck.

They calculate start of year from October and not Jan hence their Q3 means Q2 in normal definition of calendar year 🙂  To be fair with USCIS and just like many other impacted businesses with COVID pandemic, the reporting activity will be surely lower priority for them right now. So I do not think that they are not bothering about reports but it is about relative priority.  Yes it is a painful wait game for applicants like us and I hope there are some broad measures taken by USCIS to improve speed of N400 processing in Seattle area and USA overall.

Congratulations! Very exciting. Did they reschedule you when you were told that you went to the wrong appointment?

Will this not just create another place where information might be shared (and possibly split up info across even more locations to check)? Seems redundant to me.

Thank you!! Unfortunately I won’t be able to vote this time. My interview is like a week or so after the election. Good luck! Hope things move for everyone waiting after the election!

Non-combo filer here. After my biometrics my Estimated case completion was November 2020. Estimated wait time is October 2020.
On mid August both dates moved 1 month backwards.
On Saturday, Sep. 12. I checked my status on myuscis.com, my estimated case completion date changes to 30 days. Checked again today, it is now 26 days.
I read from other VJ members post that some will get their interview schedule once the countdown is up but others also gets the dreaded “We are taking longer than expected to process your case. “ status. I am hoping that I won’t get that status and be US citizen by the end of this year, at least something good happen after all these pandemic.
