  1. Congratulations! I am glad you are done with USCIS. Did you ever find out why they cancelled your initial interview? PS: We may have run into each other on May 19th which is when I had my interview but thankfully they didn't cancel mine.
  2. Yeah I received 2 emails on 6/8. First one stated that the application was approved and the second one stated it was shipped with a tracking number included in the email.
  3. Here is my expedited passport timeline: Applied at USPS: 5/19/2021 Application Received: 5/28/2021 Check Cashed: 6/1/2021 Approved: 6/8/2021 Shipped: 6/8/2021 Passport delivered: 6/10/2021 Passport card delivered: 6/14/2021 Naturalization cert delivered: 6/15/2021
  4. My interview was at 7am in Tukwila and my experience was very similar to what MMSM describes above. Interview was done in about 20 mins but then I had to wait over an hour till there were other people ready to do a group oath. The group oath itself took less than 10 mins and we were given our certificates after that. While I was waiting, I saw plenty of people get their certificates in the waiting area because they were administered oath by the officer who interviewed them. So it really depends on your luck. You can be done with the whole process in less than 1 hour or you may have to wait close to 2 hours, do the group oath and then get your certificate.
  5. Here is my expedited timeline in case someone is planning to travel after naturalization: Applied at USPS: 5/19/2021 Application Received: 5/28/2021 Check Cashed: 6/1/2021 Approved: 6/8/2021 Shipped: 6/8/2021 Delivered: 6/10/2021
  6. Congratulations @Birdy-flying. Thanks for sharing your experience!
  7. Just one is sufficient. For questions that require multiple answers, it is explicitly stated in the question. For example: There were 13 original states. Name three.
  8. Finally! Congratulations. I know you've waited a long time for this. Hope the interview goes well and there are no more delays. Try to make a passport appointment on or after July 22nd so you dont have to wait any longer.
  9. Congratulations! Pretty ballsy move to ask for a selfie with the officer. That cracked me up 😀
  10. I have heard that FBI background check doesn't take all that long so I am not sure when USCIS actually places the request. Surely it has to be after they schedule the interview which is still enough time for the check to be complete. Maybe someone familiar with the inner workings of USCIS can add more detail. I am sorry that you are going through this and not getting enough notice and possibly cancelling your trip sucks as well. I don't think you can do much at this point till they reschedule the appointment or if they don't get back to you within 30 days then try reaching out to them via phone.
  11. Thats frustrating. Sorry to hear. I had my interview today as well and everything went smooth. For those who have interviews coming up soon here are some key points: The only documents I was asked were green card, DL and passport. I had over 5lb of documents with me and now I need to figure out a way to dispose them. Some folks were administered oath by the officer who interviewed them and others were asked to wait for a group oath. This added over an hour for those who had to wait, so plan accordingly. I am still thankful that same day is being offered in Seattle. If possible, try to book your passport appointment when you get scheduled for interview. I applied for my passport today as well and according to the USPS postmaster even expedited application would take between 6 to 8 weeks similar to what @nikgon mentioned above. Happy to answer any questions.
  12. Congratulations! Great news! Thank you so much for giving us a detailed version of your experience.
  13. I just checked our tracker. Looks like another user @TheDude123 had their interview today. How did it go? Can you share your experience?
  14. Great news! Congratulations!! Were you asked to show any documents you brought with you?
  15. Good luck! I hope everything goes well. Can't wait to hear about your experience.
