Awesome. when did you file?

For the people who have WAC as processing center (like myself): It looks like that people who filled in January are starting to get the “was updated to show fingerprints were taken” message, so hang in there.

I filed in January (WAC) and my case “was updated to show fingerprints were taken” today!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing it - some progress at WAC.

Any one who as the ROC process at the California center (WAC) and got their biometrics waived/appointment scheduled? I'm a July filler and noticed that WAC is going really slow on the biometrics but all the other centers are going so much faster.
-
Did anyone here with the process at WAC got the biometrics appointment/waiver for the ROC? thanks

California center is pretty slow compared to the other one. I looked at the June filers and most of the WAC applicants still have not heard anything yet regarding their biometrics.
I'm on the same boat with you, my friend.

It's been 43 days since our case was received. Still no word on biometrics/fingerprints. We are starting to get worried 😧
My center is also California (WAC), I have not seen any biometrics coming in quickly as the other centers. I guess all we can do is to wait.

Everybody getting biometrics waiver from all the processing centers with one month, but people from WAC (California processing center)

I don't see anyone from WAC having the biometrics waived

I did. WAC209xxxxx. Biometric waived in June 13,2020. And no more update since then. Good luck. X
Thanks for the feedback. I see that you submitted your case almost 1 year ago, so it would make sense to get the biometrics at least waived by now.
The other centers seems to be waiving it with 2-3 weeks after people getting the I-797 NOA.
Thanks again for your answer.

Has anyone with the case at WAC recently received a waiver for the biometrics? I have seen a lot of waivers for the other centers, but none coming out from WAC.

We sent our ROC package from Tucson to Phoenix on July 15th. On July 31st we received the NOA1 18 month extension letter from USCIS. Guess its now time for the long wait ahead.
Hopefully the biometrics waiver soon. and then the long wait

@Rose_3001i got the biometrics waiver letter the same moment as my extension letter (about 3 weeks after package was sent) but I was able to see they used my fingerprints first on their website, about 2 weeks after they received my package.
Looks like all the centers are moving fast with the biometrics waiver, but WAC (California) 😕

A biometrics waiver? That would be great! I'm a little behind on the posts in this thread - are people being notified of this waiver by mail, and how soon is this happening? Thank you!
I mean... it first comes an online update (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do), and I would assume it comes a letter talking about the waiver - I have not gotten any update related to it online. However, the people who got it, they have been getting it 1-2 weeks after they receive their letter of 18 months extension for the GC.
Giving a waiver for ROC applicants makes complete sense - we all had our biometrics taken not too long ago during the AOS and there is a huge backlog at the ASC centers.

Good luck, everyone! Here is our timeline so far. The $680 was taken from our account yesterday, never been so happy to see a transaction posted
27th July: Sent via Fedex to TX30th July: Fedex notification of receipt
5th August: $$ taken from account
6th August: USCIS text with receipt #
Hope to get the letter and the biometrics appointment soon...
Hopefully an waiver as most of ROC people have been getting

Of course, my number begins with YSC so I got Potamac 🙂
Thanks. my process is at the California center. I just check the USCIS processing time for both center and Potamac is slightly shorter than California. Thanks again!

I have it all on my VJ timeline 😊
Here it is:
Posted July 14th USPS priority regular mail with tracking.
Delivered July 17th.
Check cashed 24th July
Text received 24th July with case number
USCIS online case status says application was received July 17th.
NOA1 printed July 26th, and it arrived in the mail Aug 3rd.
Online case status updated Aug 4th to say previous biometrics applied. One last question, if it is ok, what is your processing center?

Thanks! Some show up to 35 months... Holy cow
Yes... I know. An alternative would be to use https://www.lawfully.com/ app which once you enter your case, it shows the probability of your case being done within different months in the processing time range.
For example, this is how my case looks like.

Does anyone here know average wait time until someone at least touches your case? Obviously it largely depends on the case but still.. I feel like the pandemic must be pushing wait times much further.
This is your best guess https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

So, I logged in online and downloaded my tax transcripts. Can I print them out and submit them as part of my evidence package? Or do I have to get those copies requested and received by mail?
Thank you.
Yes. it is fine. That is what I did - requested online (https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript), printed and send with the application.

Very cool! USCIS normally pulls your ROC process and have the interview together with the N400. I think that is why the other user was surprised (me too); I'm no expert, but I would assume you just got lucky and your ROC case was concluded right before they decided to pull your case and merge with the N400.
Congrats and thanks for sharing your experience.
