    So I am lost 🤯

thank you very much ! soon Paris !
In few days you will have your visa in hand and let’s go for a new life !!! 🤪🇺🇸

Je peux vous les traduire gratuitement si vous en avez besoin. I don't mind.

But I'm sure you're be fine. I've only heard positive things about the French embassy over the years. Good luck to you

    Hello everyone !!

small question for those who already had the interview in  Paris .

do I have to bring translations of my birth certificate , marriage certificate as they are in French ?

because I see in the embassy website that I have to bring translations . I am a little bit confused .

    i didn’t submit translations to NVC .

i submit translations at USCIS in 2018 for my I130

thank you for your answers 😀

This month all November DQ should be schedule.  Maybe some early December DQ.

Let's hope. But I'm thinking they will send it towards the end of the month based on the fact that the earliest available interview slots are from the end of March (info I read somewhere on this site).

    Maybe after feb 20?

I hope that Im wrong and that they will send them this week.

My husbands police certificate was issued in September. It says valid for 3 months on it. Does he need to go and get an updated police certificate or the US embassy will allow him to use the one he has?

    Embassy- Senegal

    Interview Date- February 25, 2020

    I believe he does,

If I'm not mistaken the Casier Judiciaire in Senegal is valid for 3 months only.

  5. Hi everyone. Zeinebou went to her 2nd interview this morning in Dakar. The last 2 weeks we've been so busy updating all the documents (1-34, medical etc...) but went she got there, they only asked for the police report, took her passport and told her to come back thursday at 3. We're a little puzzled.

What happened to the interview? Is it going to actually be on thursday?

Someone standing by told her that means they're going to approve it but we don't want to believe it and be disappointed again. It's already been such an emotional roller-coaster

  6. I'm ready to send a new I-34 for our 2nd interview. I compared it to the last one we did 2 years ago and noticed there no space for a notary.

    Is it the case?

    Thanks in advance

  7. We've been under Administravie Review since August 07 and the consulate just sent me this email:

    "Dear Sir/Madame:

The U.S. Embassy has confirmed your relationship with the petitioner in the above-mentioned case and is ready to proceed with your immigrant visa application.

Please ensure that your file is complete; a visa cannot be issued if all required documents are not in the file. Please check the letter you were given after your first interview -- if any documents were marked as missing, you must bring them to the Embassy at your appointment. "

Does this mean they're finaaly going to approve it?

    Thanks for your input.

  8. Thanks guys. Omoba. You know after your fiance' get here you become a consultant for Dakar applicants :) You know so much about the embassy :)

Thanks for the info. I had already contacted a lab this morning, as soon as I read the e-mail from the embassy. it is expensive in deed, about $ 960.

Are you saying my fiancee is going to pay another $180 extra at the Doctor's office?

And to answer your question, yes I'm black (naturalized US citizen originaly from Mauritania).

I sent you an e-mail last week. Did you receive it?

    Keep faith. We'll get there!

  9. AR Unit sent me this e-mail today:

"In order to proceed with your application, this office must confirm your fiancée’s eligibility for that visa.

The consular officers have to review approved petitions to confirm that the requisite family relationship, on which the petition is based, still exists.

To that end the consular officer has recommended you to undergo sibling DNAS testing with your Zeinebou Wane.

Please follow attached instruction on DNA testing.

    Sincerely,

    Eligibility Review Unit. (MS)

    <<Information on Sibling DNA Testing.doc>> "

Do they think that my fiancee is actually my sister because we the same last name?

    How long is DNA test?

    Thanks

  10. Guess what Omoba

My fiancee showed up at the embassy today to drop another birth certificate just like they asked in the e-mail. Well, she didn't even get to see anyone. A clerk took the paper from her at the entrance, went somewhere for 10mn,came back with the birth certificate and said " Someone will call you".

What do you make of that? They didn't even make a copy of the birth certificate, which was the whole purpose of her 800 mile trip.

    I don't understand!

  11. My fiancee's application was sent to Administrative review after her interview in agust. I just received an e-mail from the embassy asking us to bring her "new birth certificate". But we had already submitted one the day of the interview. I really don't know what they're talking about? new birth certificate?

I feel we're turning in circles with this embassy (in Senegal).

I sent them an e-mail. No response.

Will my congresman really help in getting the embassy to "talk" ?

Please share your experience and thoughts.

    Thanks guys

  12. My fiancee is from mauritania and that's where she resides. The e-mail from the embassy got me confused too. I e-mailed them yesterday for more explanation about the "new birth certificate". I'm hoping to get a reply tomorrow.

This is what their e-mail said: " Dear Sir:

In order to process your fiancée application, this office must confirm her eligibility for that visa. For that end we would like to ask your fiancée to submit her new Mauritanian birth certificate. She can stop by any Wednesday or Monday afternoon between 2:00 to 4:00.

    Best regards,

    Eligibility Review Unit. (MS)"

Why would they need another one? I have no clue

  13. Thanks Omoba!

As you put it, i'm here to opinions on an immigration situation. Not relationship counseling. (I would've gone to Dr Phill) :)

But to reassure any "sceptical" out there, our relationship is very solid :)

Anyway, I received an e-mail from the embassy today asking my fiancee to stop by with her "new Mauritanian birth certificate" (which we had already submitted with at the interview) . Is that a positive sign? my fiancee's theory is that they must be close to making a decision, if that's all they're asking.

    Thanks again to everyone!
