Yes, I submitted a request to USICS. They said they'd get back to me by Aug 23, but I can already predict what they'll say - things are taking longer, blah blah blah
The congressman's office is all remote. I left a message but I doubt anybody will return my call. At this point, I'm not sure what to do.
Hmm, did you file Ombudsman case assistance here - https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

Ombudsman is a waste of time as well. Have a case open with them for 60days now. It's messed up in Dallas.
I see. Earlier, Ombudsman would act and cases would be progressed. Don't know if Covid related delays are involved.
The next best thing is to contact your local Congressman.
I am March 2021 filer.

I'm still waiting from Jan 2020... jesus christ
@KatieL You are way over the current processing time as per the link at the end of this sentence for Dallas which is 12 to 18 months - https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
Have you contacted USCIS? If yes, what did they say.
You need to engage the Ombudsman ASAP using this link - https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

Any idea which month's applications are being interviewed in Dallas at present?

so if someone keep making trips overseas but each time for less than 6 months, but only spend 1 months in the US in a year, that means that person still meet the continued residence requirement?
No, apart from continuous residence requirment, physical residence in US is also required. For 5 years rule application, u have to be living in US physically for at least 36 months out of the total 60 months immediately prior to the date of application. Please read the eligibility on USCIS website. The rules are clearly stated in simple English!

I'm not sure if its something to worry, but after my N400 interview yesterday at Washington DC office, I saw my status on uscis account changed from "We approved your application" to "You attended your interview" with estimated completion time November 2020 (4 months).
While the status on the case tracker app shows "Oath Ceremony Will be Scheduled"
Note:I have a name changed request.
As long as you have the form N-652 that was given to you after your interview showing you passed the interview and they approved you, there is no need to worry about anything. That's the main evidence that you have that says you were approved!

Got oath ceremony notice finally for my mom yay!
Her time line if anyone in this jurisdiction interested
- Filed in October '19 in Dallas
- Biometrics secheduled in 3 days
- Did a walkin biometrics in Fort Worth ASC a week after submission
- Moved to Austin in November and got application transferred to San Antonio
- Interview got scheduled in late Dec for early Feb 2020
- Failed 1st interview in Feb 2020 (lack of understanding English)
- Re-interview scheduled for late April
- Then pandemic hit and re-interview was cancelled
- Re-interview again rescheduled for early July and passed without any issues (yayy!)
- Oath scheduled for mid-August phewwww!

Our office is so backed up...I even tried to reach out to our Rep but it was more useless than an easter egg at Christmas.
I have ready given up on voting this year...smh.
Well, it was the pandemic that is causing the delay. Before the pandemic, Dallas was on 8 months end to end timeline for N400. It was 12-13 months in early 2019 so they surely expedited during 2nd half of 2019 and early 2020 but then pandemic hit and the delay kicked back in.
-
Yes, before the pandemic, it was about 8 months wait in Dallas which had expedited quite a bit over the last year or so (It was almost 12-13 months or more wait during mid 2018-mid 2019) but closures have stretched it to 12 months now. Let's hope the furloughs don't happen and there is no further delay!

says Dallas is 11.5 to 13 months
Adil came in /septmeber a year before u did and applied in June 2018 / naturalized in September 2019 so our office estimates were close
incha allah
Those were normal times. Estimates and timelines have now been affected due to pandemic closures and restrictions (number of interviews/oaths) than can be done on a given day. So expect longer delays. Dallas already sees a large number of applications.

For being one of the "busiest and backlogged field office", there seems to be very little activity/information on this forum from Dallas applicants about their case status/progress.
It is silent now due to pandemic closures and hold but when things were normal, people were active on this thread if you look at past discussions!

My interview finally have been rescheduled for July 30th in Dallas after being canceled back in March due to COVID 19 of course. bummer. I would have been done by now ugh. oh well. just 9 days to go. I was wondering if anyone knows if USCIS does any same day interview and oat ceremony considering I would have to drive almost 300 miles one way just to get there?
No, no scope/chance of same day in Dallas is what I know as it is one of the busiest and backlogged field office. As oaths were already cancelled for months, you would be lucky if your oath happens within a month of your interview.

For such scenarios, it is best to consult a good immigration attorney. Some do initial consultation for free. Some charge $50-$100 for consultation but it is worth it.

I found the answer to my first post. However, I have two more questions now including:
I had two jobs during 2020. Due to pandemic I lost job B (part time job, which i had listed on the n400 form)
Do i need to mention on my interview that I am no longer employed by company B ?
Also, I have started doing food delivery as my second part time job - i assume this has to be listed as self employed since we are considered contractors ?
During interview they may or may not ask you if any information has changed in your application since you applied. They are mostly interested in changes that can negatively affect your applications like breaking the law in any sense (traffic ticket, arrest, charges etcetra). Job changes are trivial matters and does not affect your application in any way (unless you are employed in the Weed industry that has become legal in some states).... I read somewhere that an applicant's N400 application was denied as he worked in a company that's in the Weed business.

Hello, my mom passed her interview in the 1st week of July in San Antonio, TX. It was her 2nd interview. She had failed in the 1st for reason (Difficulty in understanding English). However, we haven't got a date for oath yet. My question is are oath ceremonies being scheduled across US off lately given that USCIS funding and furloughs discussions are ongoing.

Starting new thread for N400 Dallas Field Office as I couldn't find an existing one or with recent posts. All Dallas Field Office applicants - please discuss on this thread
Any updates on what's happening in Dallas. What's the current interviews and oath ceremony trends/status/timelines. Will become eligible to file starting Jan '21

Well, are you aware of what's happening across the world right now. The world is in a midst of a pandemic and US is one of the worst affected countries. Do you need any other reasons? Also, the thread is from 4/2019 which is very old. You should start a new thread if needed

@KatieL @JustBelieve So as per Joe, Sep 2020 applications have been completed but Jan 2020 are pending as reported by you. Somewhere something is really messed up. May be yoru application was filed just as the pandemic was getting started and then USCIS closures and everything really messed up.
