If everyone updated their profile on this website then we wouldn't have the thousands of unnecessary "When was your interview?", "when were you DQ", "When were you approved" questions. It's such a waste of time going through over 100 pages and seeing half of the posts asking the same thing over and over.  It literally takes 5 minutes to update your profile to show the dates for specific important events.

Well said. Will do so now.

Also, following the thread here and on Facebook, it seems no new IL’s went out this week. So Tuesday, January 19th will be when the next round of interviews are sent out. We should see IL’s for May 11th - May 18th sent out next week. Good luck to everyone waiting!

My wife had her interview this morning and she was approved thanks to God. She told me the interview was pretty short with only a hand full of generic questions (like birthdays and how we met) and after looking at a few photos the interviewer said she was approved and told her she should have her passport back within 2 weeks :)

That's awesome! Best of luck to you! Travel is still open even with Covid-19. Can't wait to see my wife in U.S. as well.

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this so forgive me if similar questions have been asked. I am a US citizen and I initially filed the I-130 for my husband on Nov.2019 and that was approved in Sept. We have submitted all documents to the NVC and they were DQ'd on Oct. 28th. We are now waiting for an interview to be scheduled and based off what I read the embassy is open but there is no clarity as to where they are with scheduling appointments. Anyone have any advice? We have been married for a year but will be two years this July.
     Thanks in advance!

If he was DQ'ed October 28th, then there is still some time. Embassies are conducting interviews for people DQ'ed from March-April at the moment. We don't have a lot of data points to go by currently but you could be waiting for at least a few more months (most like 5-6 months or longer). I would suggest checking to see if you are eligible for an expedited request, that will help move things along. And expediting your petition will not affect your process time if you are rejected.

Helps ? This makes us stress ?! Finding out they are skipping some people and finding out i just got skipped isnt helpful 🤔  its something which takes away my peace and sleep ..

Then I suggest you try some stress reduction techniques. Your “peace and sleep” are small discomforts compared to the death and devastation occurring right now in the US and the world due to Covid-19. The embassies are doing the best they can. Or you can choose to ignore my post, either way, I have nothing further to say here.

Interview are usually a month apart. How come he got it november 17 ? Which is like a week or so away?

I’m assuming they were scheduled a couple of weeks ago, I just found out about it today.

Most of us on the board are under the impression that interviews are being given out in the sequence the DQ’s were approved. I also know of a couple of April DQ’s they were scheduled already as well. But those may have been expedites so I did not mention them here earlier.

When Allah has decided it’s the best time for us to meet. I’m honestly not even bugging at this point. I’m just living my life, chilling one last time

before officially entering my married life LOL but in all seriousness, idk when we’ll get it so I’m just patiently waiting as of right now and also I might just go visit him in December and stay there, travel to the entire north side, and just stay and have fun until he gets the visa and we can come back together.

I know this doesn’t answer your question but honestly there’s no point in driving yourself crazy. It’s a fact that there will be a delay so the least we can do is just pray to Allah and stay as optimistic and relaxed as possible.

Exactly, completely agree with this sentiment. I own my business and have taken some time off to work remotely while growing it. We are planning on traveling a bit and then attend A bunch of weddings and hopefully her interview and visa will soon follow. My family was asking about my plans and I told them I am taking a few months of retirement time and spending it now, consider me retired for the next few months.

Though, along with Skull78000, I am expecting the interview to be sometime in December or early January at the latest. Hard to travel without having a rough estimate in mind. Though some things are not in our hands, call it fate or Allah’s will.

I did spend some time traveling the north of Pakistan this past summer. May I suggest that you visit Hunza, the area is beautiful.

NVC and Islamabad embassy do NOT work on weekend right ?

No, they don’t. However; they do have some employees come in and work on other things during the weekend.
