  1. Hi every one. I filed for adjustment of status 429 days ago, July 2020 (family based, marriage). My case status is still showing as case is ready to be scheduled for interview since January. I’ve called uscis a few times and they said that it’s outside the window so they’ll put in a request for me. 30 days have passed since the request and no reply. I recalled uscis and they put in another request but still no reply. What to do?

I filed in NJ but moved to PA since May. In august I called uscis and they said my case paper work is in Missouri….I’m so confused. Everyone in the July2020 adjustment of status filers group has had their interview and received their greencard. Can someone help me?

Nope, haven't had my biometrics yet. Haven't heard back since I submitted my RFE. Thanks for the tip! I didn't know you could file the request via chat on the website

Don't worry too much. I had the same issue. You need to call them and let them know that your case is outside the normal window. They'll put in a request and you will get a status update within 30 days (mine changed in like 10 days). They'll schedule your biometrics (if you havent done it as yet) and they will try to resolve the i-765 as quickly as possible as well.

    Congrats!!!!!

This was how ours was updated:

We received the actual combo card on March 13, 2021 and the social security card arrived March 16th.  The "Card was delivered to me by the post office" update actually occurred on March 13th as well.

And congrats to everyone else too on all of the good news!! I am so excited to read that things are moving for others too!!! This has been so wild waiting this long.

Question, when the EAD is mailed out, do they provide a tracking number? I just want to ensure that it comes to my new address and not my old one.

Congrats! What did you tell them on the call?

Yesterday I spoke to a tier 1 representative, the rep informed me that the current EAD processing time is 3.5- 11.5 months, and I would have to wait. While AP processing is 3-5 months and the rep went ahead and filed for a service request.

I inquired about the status of my application and he told me that it was still under review but he would put in a service request for me because it was taking too long (Filed July 17, Biometrics Jan 8). He did note that after filing the request it was highly likely that they would approve the EAD card in the coming days (which they did after about 7 days) but it could take up to 30 days.

@pegagn you were right! It seems the EAD was approved! Just checked today and saw it changed to "New Card is Being Produced" !!! I am still in shock, I don't want to refresh the page in case it changes back.

    PD: July 22, 2020

Bio: January 5, 2021 (Hackensack, NJ office)

@ss.hendrix - FYI as I know you are super close with your dates too.  I hope you have good news this week as well!

Our AP online hasn't updated yet, so I am hoping that it will still be a combo card.

New card being produced today! I had called them of Wednesday and complained that is was taking too long and they put in a request for me..not sure if that’s why—thankful nonetheless. How long does it take to arrive after it says “card is being produced” ?

  6. I moved from New Jersey to Texas last August, updated my address and got a confirmation. However my biometrics appointment was sent to the old New Jersey address in January—USCIS didn’t updates on the website that they had sent biometrics letter but luckily someone at my old address contacted me that I had received mail. I had to fly back to New Jersey for the appointment. Currently, it says my I-485 is ready to be scheduled for interview and that my I-765 fingerprints was received. My concern is that I don’t know if if my interview letter and EAD will get sent to the old address and if it does I’m not sure how lucky I will be this time to even get the letter if it does get sent there. Any tips as to what I can do? I tried calling USCIS to speak to a live agent but everything automated.

I got interview scheduled today. It's moving really fast 😮. Letter probably are coming in a few days.

Does anyone know how far away do they schedule the interview? A few weeks im guessing?

January 27, 2021 Interview Was Scheduled
January 13, 2021 We are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, for an interview.
January 8, 2021 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken.

I'm in the same boat as u. Did your i765 ever got updated or just the i485?

Please don’t bet on that! I had to reschedule my interview as I was only given 3 weeks notice. @iris@@ contact your local USCIS doctor first before deciding as you need time. For me, and I think for most, it is two appointments for your medical. I had to go and get more boosters and have tests done to prove immunity and it took a week in itself. So don’t be complacent, be proactive and as prepared as you can be :) your service center might surprise you like mine did 😂

Oh wow! I'm not surprised as USCIS has been very inconsitent with its processing times. I may have to reschedule my interview as my wife is about to give birth any time now and we would preferable want to do the interview afterwards. How long did they take to reschedule your interview? Was it a smooth process?

  9. I am in a similar situation like you. I suggest doing it when you get the notice that your interview has been scheduled. You will have time as they give you 4-6 weeks to prepare for the interview. Good luck!

Hi guys, my case status just changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview". When do you suggest that I do my i693 health exam? Since I don't know if it takes 5 months or 1 year to get interview scheduled, and i don't want my i693 to get expired during the wait. Thank you!

Hi everyone long time no posting since couple months ago! Happy to see everyone's case starting to move along. I got my biometric letter at the end of December, and did my biometric for I-485, 765, 131 on Jan 8th at the local ASC. I-485 status is "Ready to be scheduled for Interview" as of this morning. Case was initially filed at the beginning of July 2020.

Happy that worked out for you!! I filed in early July as well and did my biometrics for i-485 and i-765 on January 8th. No updates as yet but glad to see that you and I have a similar timeline and you are making progress! Good luck!!
