Inchbean reacted to laylalex in Fiancee has been captured by police and being deported
As others have said, if she is deported and she gets a ban, waivers are available. You can also consider moving to Canada. All is not lost. ❤️

I get what you mean about the feeling that you might never be able to be together. Before I married my ex, who is English, I tried "living" (really visiting) for 6 months over there because we assumed that since he had a "bigger" job than mine, that I should move. But I was miserable and knew I could never live there. I wasn't facing a ban, but the reality was that as far as I was concerned, we would live in America or he would have to move on. It broke my heart thinking of it, and it was the toughest line I ever had to draw. He did move here, but the thought of being apart was terrible. If we had had an actual legal barrier like you may have... *sigh*  I mean obviously we got divorced later so it might have been better if he didn't give in!

I know you are in a panic, but take a breath. Calm down. Get an attorney (maybe start a gofundme?). Your job is to be there for her and be her rock in what must be a really frightening time. As much as you don't want to be without her, she doesn't want to be without you.

Our case got approved! It was approved yesterday. Super excited.

    NOA 1: April 7th, 2020

    NOA 2: December 31, 2020.

What happens next? We haven't received the actual notice in the mail yet that tells us what to do.

Finally   NOA2 December 29th!  After my last post I had just sort of given up on obsessing over it, checking the website&app at least twice a day, I just figured I would worry about it later in January.   I was driving home from work tonight, on the phone with him and he asked me what it meant when the website said "Approved".  I'm so happy, and so so relieved.

*(Yes, he knew what approved meant, he was just being a giant adorable butt  )  I hope this next part doesn't take 274 days!

Some have reported receiving the test message from the app before USCIS updates the website. "your mileage may vary"

Note: the USCIS Case Tracker app lets you set a range of WAC# before and after yours to see the status of those cases. Very slick tool to ascertain where you are in the processing timeline of USCIS compared to others.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Our NOA 1 was April 6th as well...I check USCIS and the app constantly just waiting to hear anything at all, and I'm driving myself (and him lol) crazy.  I know it's just going to sit at the NVC for who knows how long but Im desperate for any movement at all.
Im super happy for everyone that's seen some movement on theirs though!
