Did she give you an I-551 stamp? Otherwise, she just took from you you I-551 and you are required to have one on your person at all times. I would have refused until an I-551 was given to me.

Congrats.  I hope your card arrives this week.

I had asked if she can stamp my passport so I can go to dmv to change my DL to California, she said she can’t do that I would have to make appointment and outside people do it.  She had told me do not worry recently green card comes to to your mailbox pretty quick. I should be fine.

  2. Hi, I’m a May 2020 filer, received I751 interview notice by May 2022 and they scheduled interview in NY by 5/23/2022 however at that time I have already moved to CA and they changed my filed office so they rescheduled to Santa Ana office for today 8/23/22

overall the interview went very smooth,  me and my wife went into the room with my attorney.
IO she is a very nice lady she asked our IDs and reason of moving to CA (because we still have NY DLs) where did we go for vocations, and do We have child, my attorney handed her a lot of evidences after filled I751, she took all of them but did not look at all. We have bought 2 houses one in NY and one in CA, so she looked at the deeds and seems satisfied.  The conversation  part was about 10 mins, that’s it

after that she just typing and looking at her computer, for long long long time like 15 mins, it was such a long 15 mins to wait there.. we don’t know what to say and scared lol.

then she printed out a piece of paper said I’m approved, I should expect my new green card in 30 days, and she also took my old expired green card said I don’t need it anymore.  When I got home like 1 hour later, online status changed to New Card Being Produced

that’s it, good luck to all of you guys!
By the way, me and my wife got interviewed here in the US in our I485 application. Don’t know why they selected us for I751 for another interview, but don’t worry you all, If your marriage is bona fide and legit  they will give you the status, they are human beings too, they don’t want to make your life difficult.

I actually filed my N400 application in May of 2022 Santa Ana office, do you guys have any idea how long I should keep waiting ?

    Hi

Today received a notification that the case is ready for an interview and seems very strange, because I did have a interview  for I485 and sent tons of documents.

Yesterday I received a notification my case is ready for an interview, move from biometric directly to interview and no RFE or anything.

What seems strange, in case tracker all other cases near mine that were move on the same day as I did, all of them status change to case ready for interview, I'm speaking over 25 cases near mine.

Can this be a mistake on their end and send all this cases to interview?

where did you see the 25 cases? did you have 485 interview before?

  4. I filed in May 2020, I live in NY and sent application to Texas center,  in December my case got transferred to NBC and 2/25 I  checked online shows my case ready to be scheduled interview, we have house and life insurance, we sent a lot of documents to USCIS, dont know why they still want to interview us.

There are two reasons USCIS will move your i751 case, if it moved to another service center they may be balancing workload between service center offices or they may send it to your local USCIS field office to schedule a interview.

If you case has been sent to your local office they will process it and may yet wave your interview, but there a very good chance they will schedule an interview. You may get a update indicating your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview  some day soon. An interview date would be some months in the future after that.

Hi thanks for the reply, I got the mail today it says my case has been transferred to NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER in order to speed up processing.

  6. hi guys, I'm a May 2020 filer for I751,  I live in NYC and filed to Texas center, EAC number, on Friday I just got a notice showing " Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction",  we completed our initial interview in 2018 in NYC and got my greencard.   What this case transfer mean? Does it mean I will be scheduled for another interview ? I dont have my N400 filed.

    Thanks
