  1. Yes, I hope they will continue with this trend for months to come ... I have been looking for some info here on visajourney and a came across some threads from early 2010s - they used to approve cases in 2 weeks and people were complaining about it being too long So it's not like it's imposible for them to work faster
  2. Same just happened to us two days ago ... Congratulations however, that's great news!
  3. Thank you. He already submitted it, so we'll see. I was determined to be with my husband before Chritmas this year (perfectly doable if they DQed it yesterday), but that too will have to wait. This entire process is taking whatever last bits of sanity I have πŸ™ƒ. We're long distance, so any extra time this takes is time we have to spend apart (We already decided we're not making any more trips before this is done, as it is incredibely expensive). I'll update it here should we somehow get a quick response from them.
  4. it is not an email. The email just said our status has been updated. But when i logged in there was the message. all other documents say "accepted", but I dont see "documentarily qualified" anywhere (from my understanding it should be in the message box but idk)
  5. Hi all, we just gor RFEd for missing W2s. I feel stupid for not going through this thread before, we would've known better. I am beyond dissapointed right now, but if anyone's reading this, dont make the same mistakes we did and just upload everything. Good luck!
  6. "Case FE Review Note" is exactly what it says. Nothing about consular officer or anything like that. literally just that one sentence. So do we start the wait now all over again, is that correct? Any chance they'd look at it today yet if my husband uploads it all (if he can find it and scan it that quick idk, he is at work now)?
  7. We submitted all documents on August 7th and today I got an email from NVC that our ceac account has been updated. So I logged in, all our documents are accepted. But there was a message saying - Please submit every 2021 W-2/1099 form for (my husbands name). I guess that that's and RFE, although it doesnt specifically say that anywhere on the site (I didnt know what to expect, I wouldve thought that we would get an email specifically saying "you got RFE" or someting). We uploaded last 3 years tax transcripts and the way my husband talked he said that theyre the same thing, so I guess they're not. I assume that once he uploads it, the wait starts all over again, so another 2-3 months? Im really getting depressed over it, we have waited so long at the uscis stage and now this
  8. Guys, I need advice... I just got email from NVC, all of our documents were accepted (we uploaded everything August 7), but then there was a message saying "Please submit every 2021 W-2/1099 form for (my husbands name)" - does that mean RFE? Or are we DQed? it doesnt say "RFE" anywhere so I am confused. We sent them last 3 years of tax returns/transcripts + bank statement even though it wasnt needed in our case. What are they asking for?
  9. I just noticed the 2 year comment As for the translations, since Im fluent in English and Czech is my native language, can I just certify it myself? Its so confusing when one person says you need certified and notarized and idk what else and then you look elsewhere and it's "just translate it"
  10. Hello, My husband (the petitioner) just paid the NVC fees on Friday and we are waiting to be able to upload all the docs for NVC. I am still quite confused about some things though: 1) I am Czech and will be doing interview in Prague, Czech rep.. That would imply I do not need to have my civil documents translated, right? But then on the Prague embassy page of NVC website it states I must bring translations and I have even seen somewhere on the NVC website that it said "notarized" translations, but I can't find that particular page rn to confirm. So which is it lol. I got both my birth cert. and police record translated, but not "officially" (we have what they call a "judicial translator", but if I want their signature to my translations that's another fee... Should I upload the originals' scans and then bring the translation to the interview in Prague maybe? There arent very many people from CZ here, so it's hard to find people who have got some experience there 2) How old can the police records be? I had mine done on March 29 as I was leaving to the US for 2 months to be with my husband and wanted to have it ready in case we got approved by uscis (that was quite naive in retrospect). I found information saying they should be valid for 2 years, but I also found information saying they are only valid for 6 months, making submitting a March record quite risky. Getting a new one isnt a problem, but if I need another translation, that's yet another fee. Obviously Ill get it if it's neccesarry, but if the 2 year rule applies it's a waste of money Thank you!
  11. I kept thinking about it, but ultimatelly I decided it was unlikelly to help anyways. Who know if it would. We just got the NVC welcome letter today, so Im pretty excited Hopefully you get approved soon as well!
  12. Thank you! I nearly fell over when I saw it, not gonna lie Wishing you best of luck, hopefully you will joi the "approved" group as well Let us know when it happens!
  13. Guys! We got approved !!!! I cant believe it, I lost all hope when I saw how few cases have been getting approved since the beginning of the month and that they skipped august and moved onto september/october, but now I opened the case tracker and there was our 2nd active review. My husband just woke up and confirmed that the approval letter was there! My timeline is updated, but ill pu it here as well: PD August 3rd 21, petitioner is a citizen Nebraska transfered to Vermont AR 1 Jan 24 AR2/ NOA2 July 23 (which is Saturday which I find odd) Good luck to all of you!
  14. you have to fill out your timeline in your profile - especially service center and your priority date (PD)= the day they received your I130. Then it will give you the estimate.
  15. Thanks for the echo.. I just checked uscis website as well, and this is the message I got: The earliest you can submit questions is April 26, 2023. Please do not contact us before this date. ... idk how long can one remain "hopeful and optimistic" when things go from bad to worse all the time
  16. I'm thinking maybe there's a lot of officers taking vacations now or idk? Vermont didn't have very many approvals this month yet either (compared to previous months). Kinda frustrating given we all have been waiting for months and months and now it will take even longer because of summer vacations πŸ™ƒ
  17. When we first filed I though I'd have my visa by now (we also though we were in nebraska SC...). Then I hoped we'd get approval after first active review in January, then by husbands bday (may 1st), then by our wedding anniversary (july 8), then by my birthday today and next milestone is august 3rd - one year since filing πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ I though I was reasonable to think I'd be moving to the US by this fall, turns out we were very naive and will be lucky if we get past uscis this fall πŸ™ƒπŸ˜… Life is "funny" like that sometimes. Let's all hope we hear some good news in the next few weeks, I think we all deserve that after all the waiting πŸ™
  18. I low key hope we get approved today as it's been 342 days already and it's my birthday today πŸ˜… but I doubt anything will change πŸ˜• I gotta say it's quite frustrating when the only approvals I see lately, are couples who married this year, applied in the spring and are already somehow approved and shceduled for an interview ... obviously great for them, but aren't USCIS claimimg they're approving it in chronological order? This makes no sense... Im at Vermont and it seems like most August filers are approved by now, they already moved onto September, but left plenty of people behind too (from as far back as May 21...).And now they all seem to be taking a break after July 4th .... πŸ™ƒ
  19. Thanks.. I just checked again, out of curiosity ... now it says the earliest is March 17 2023. What a joke πŸ™ƒ Wishing you best of luck as well!
  20. Nothing for me, but I keep seing September and even October PDs being approved in the VSC Facebook group I'm in. Quite frustrating when we filed August 3rd, but what can you do... I'm starting to consider filing the K3 to hopefully speed things up, but with our luck, they'd approve that and deny the CR1 πŸ™ƒ
  21. Oh for sure... half the time I'm a mess as well. My husband (he's the citizen) has been dealing with it a bit better, but 2 weeks ago I had to leave him in the US again and he admitted that it was starting to get to him as well. It's been 4 and a half years of long distance for us and we're both long over it πŸ˜• I started developing phone/instagram addiction and then I realized that the reason I kept scrolling, sometimes for hours, before bed was simply because I didn't want to be alone with my thoughts at night. Mind you I'm about as introverted as it gets lol. And any time we talk about it, it boils down to: it's a federal agency, those people there are understaffed and unmotivated, the process is inefficient and, as you said, they don't care about our lives at all. My husband has worked at a jail and it was very similar process - bunch of work that noone wants to do so they throw it around like a hot potato or do the bare minimum and he reminds me that every time I cry about not getting approved after 10 freaking months.
  22. I totally feel you. We filed August 3rd and it seemes like nearly everyone has been approved from August (Vermont SC) and they're moving onto September ... so now I feel like they just skipped us or idk what is going on. I find that focusing on other things in your life works well for shifting your attention away from it (for me it is weightlifting, for you it might be something totally different ). Although I still worry about the immigration every day, but finding a hobby could give you a sense of purpose, I think. Just remind yourself that someday it will be over and it will be just another chapter of your life. But again, this sh*t is hard, so you're totally reasonable in feeling upset/defeated at times.
  23. Any Vermont SC people in this group? Our PD is August 3rd and I keep seeing people from late August or even September now being approved and still nothing for us. I know that there are even some people who got "left behind" from May, June and July, while the bulk of cases that are getting approved these days is from late August/early September now. I have to say I'm starting to lose hope. I know that they will do something eventually, but you all know how it is - can't make any plans when you don't know where you're gonna live in 6 months and the wait has been way too long already (not even counting 4.5 years of long distance). It literally feels like they just go chronologically, but only approve 60-70% of the cases and whoever is left behind has to wait for them to pick up the slack someday. Idk how they operate, but this is insane. And we can't make an inquiry till february 2023 πŸ˜‘ Really Im just venting here, but I suppose I dont see many VSC people here, so I was wondering if anyone's here and what's your experience?
